What I think sooo many people overlook is: just how good the Class 47 body design was - it has been a test bed for 56’s & 58’s whilst also providing the form for the 56’s. It has now taken on Class 59/66 power units to give us the Class 57. It’s just a shame they’re cutting these bodies up - you wonder how many updates these bodies could truly accept and keep on going…
