I’ve had my Honda Civic ex since 2018 after a car accident totaled my other car. When I got this car I was just grateful for it. Didn’t bother to read the owners manual as I’ve done with other cars. I did not know my car started like this until I watched this video right now! Lmao wow! Smh 🤦🏾♀️ thank you
Lol…I’ve had mine for 3 years and JUST found out I had remote start and I ONLY just learned that my Fog lights aren’t automatic so I have been using them. Covid kept me indoors a lot so my lease only has 1,800 miles. 2020 EX Coupe pearl White. Thank goodness I’m buying it outright…it’s brand new. Not even broken in.
When you start the car with remote it will resume whatever temperature or settings you had when you last turned off car, so if it’s cold outside and you have the heat on as you turn the car off when you turn it back on with key it’ll be that same heat and everything
I believe it tries to get it to approximately 72° f which in the summer the car would cool it down and in the winter it would heat it up To achieve the comfortable temperature.

Same here after 1 year
I had mine for 3 months and found out today lol 😂😂
I’ve had my Honda 2016 since 2019 and just figured this out lol
Awesome! It's a great feature to have, especially in the winter.
Do you have any info if I can turn off a feature that will allow me to use the remote start with having the ac or heater turn on

Thank you so much for this tutorial.

Hello my friend, honda civic elegance 1.6 2017 has remote start?
We have a 2014 and no one can show us how to use the alarm system. Been trying to figure it out for 7 damn years
Civic elegance 1.6 2017 has it?
But during winter my heated doesn't come on?
thank you for this!!
You're welcome! Glad it helped. 😊
Thank. Your video saved me too.
Great to hear!
how does the car know if it is in winter or summer mode to adjust the temp???

thanks
Can you do this multiple times? I tried it after 10 minutes in my 2020 Civic EX, and it didn’t work. It only worked after a while
Worked for my 2018 Odyssey.
Awesome 👍
How we can turn on heat with key
Thank you for the vid sir!
My pleasure
Thanks budy
You're welcome 🤗
Can a 2017 remote start accord work on a 2019 accord
What do you press if some sets the alarm off?
What is the red hold button for?
The red button is always for the alarm no matter what car
Thanks your awesome 👌

Why dont my seats heat up with the remote start?
Great video!

Thank you so much for this video 🙏
No problem 👍 Glad I could help.
Do you need to turn off the car before you get in or can you just unlock the door and get in while the engine is still on
You can get in while the car is running and then put your foot on the brake and hit the start button and all everything turn on.
Mines won’t start …🤔🤔 the light on the remote doesn’t turn red
My is the same
Doesn't work with either fob for me
Doesn’t seem to work on a 2018 civic LX
Any update ?
it doesn't work on that model but you can buy the 4 button remote like his and honda will program it for you
Which Model Civic is This?
This is the Canadian ex model.
So..I did it and it worked, then followed your steps for increasing the time….now it doesn’t work at all…helplplpp
Didn’t work for me
My question is why even remote start your car if you still have to push the brake and the button like normal
We use it all the time here to preheat our car in the winter and have the air conditioning cool it down in the summer before we step into the vehicle.
Not working for me 😢
worked on a 2020
Perfect 👍
Gtfoh I swear I tried this 4yrs ago and it didnt work omg this is awesome lmao
Lol 🤣 Glad it works for you now.
Crazy 😅
2024 👍
