I looked it up right now and apparently they were temporarily closed because of employee shortage. But they have other locations around San Diego. I had no idea they have one in Las Vegas

Because of you my family and I went to puesto. OMG. wow wow wow. We are spoiled with good tacos in texas and I have been to one other taco place here. Puesto is far past the competition. The hero is absolutely a dance in your mouth. Thank you

when i was there the best carne asada burrito i found in san diego i just happen to stumble across,,,theres a car wash off the 15fwy and aero drive or something like that,,theres a wal mart too, but theres a little mexican joint actually in the car wash, best burrito ive ever had,, it was big and packed with meat and gauc,,,just awesome...

Love Tacos El Gordo and Puesto a lot, but Tacos El Gordo probably has the best tacos in SD. Also, crossing the land border to TJ is really fast and the street tacos are amazing.

Born and raised in SD for 42 years. Next time you're here, I highly recommend the mahi tacos at south beach bar and grill in ocean beach. Super fresh and tasty. Great video brutha

You should try the Death By Pizza Challenge by Westside Pizza. They have several locations in Washington and at least 1 that I know of in Idaho. It is an 18 inch pizza (I think) and is covered with numerous toppings (sausage, pepperoni, olives, pepper, bacon and pineapple that I can remember, maybe more) an weighs around 7 pounds. You have 1 hour to eat it, and if you finish it you get your money back, an additional $100, a certificate for another pizza and your picture on the wall. It's a delicious pizza, but after my horribly failed attempt, I didn't want to look at a pizza for months. Was pressured into the attempt by a friend and co-worker, even though I ate a a burger place about 2 hours before. Ate half within 8 minutes, then I eventually hit a wall at 4 (of 12, or 16) pieces left. Powered through the wall and ate 2 more, and hit another wall with 35 minutes left. 15 minutes later I finally started another piece, got halfway through and soiled my favorite pants. That was when i called it and and went home with my head held down in shame and my hands behind me "discreetly" covering the new stain in my khakis. Please do the challenge and succeed where I failed.

@Furious Pete I dont think thats anything close to tacos down south of San Diego. You should check out Tacos El Gordo in Chula Vista. You wont regret it. SUPER JUICY!
Go to Cali Tacos in LA or TACOS EL GORDO in Chula Vista. Best places in my opinion.

Have to go to Miguel's Cocina while in San Diego and get their Surf and Turf Burrito. They serve their amazing house Jalapeno cheese dip with chips. I'm a local and go to their location in Coronado frequently as well as their Point Loma location.
Tacos are good but when you get them with a side of Mexican rice and beans it’s another level. (Pour lime and salt and salsa on the side of rice as well)

Pete, you should hit up Lolita's Taco Shop and try the Carne asada fries or carne asada chips before you leave SD. They are the Mexican version of poutine but it's got guacamole and sour cream instead of gravy! 😍😍
The beef tenderloin is the same as a filet mignon. The tacos looked pretty delicious. However, the best ones come out of my kitchen! If you're ever in Minnesota, I'll prove it. :) Enjoy Cali!
