When Domino's first came to Canada years ago, I was all excited about their 30 minutes or free delivery . I learned early in the game to wait the extra 15 to 30 minutes and order from my old regular place. It took longer to arrive and it cost more but it was so worth it. In fairness to Domino's , it looks like they have upped their game to some degree.
This thing was available here in India too from late 90s to some late 2000s (I'm an early 2000s kid so I remember watching ads about it) The offer was that if your pizza doesn't get delivered within 30mins, you'd get it for free (in some places tho they'd offer a discount) people did said half of the times the delivery guy used to be late so they would get free pizza but this scheme didn't lasted long lol
FYI,we also have Garlic Breadsticks, Stuffed Garlic Bread,Cheese Dominator(1 pound of mozzarella cheese melted on the pizza),5 cheese pizza(1 out of those 4 cheeses is a Ghost Pepper flavoured cheese),Paratha Pizza,Red Velvet Lava Cake and Butterscotch Mousse Cake, which is the most heavenly thing available on the whole Domino's menu but it's also true that these items are region specific that's why it is there in Kolkata,West Bengal but not in Bangalore
I still remember red velvet came on 26 Jan as a special item I guess and then it was not there but now it’s a constant in menu and omg everybody loves it even my aunts who don’t like junk food that much
Dominos in India never fails to disappoint me! I never order it muself, just eat in parties or whatever. When Pizza Hut came to India in late 90s I remember it to be way more delicious. But eating in Pizza hut was also the height of cool and our taste buds weren't so refined, so my memory could be wrong.
I still remember as a kid we all use to love eating from Domino's India but from past few years the taste and quantity of the cheese and other spices have been reduced and surprisingly prices went up!
I've been living in India for almost 10 years now and prefer its pizzas much over the Western menu. Honestly a fascinating series and in my opinion the Indian menu is way more appealing because of the balance it strikes with the vegetables and meat. Honestly I have to visit to try the paneer pizzas someday because of how tempting it is lol. Kudos to Nikhil for his commentary, really entertaining to see him as a regular here and hope to see more in the near future As a suggestion it would be interesting to see UK vs India food wars series soon since the UK vs US already exists. Big love from the UK, keep it up!
I've been living in india for the past decade and I think you might be right but as a non vegetarian I'd much rather have easy access to the meats you can't get here than have the veg stuff, even though losing paneer would be a bit hard.
One thing I observed is that Pizza in the US looks well-cooked than the Indian Dominos Pizza which looks half-cooked. I think the reason for that is that Dominos need to keep the delivery time within 30 minutes which is comparatively easy to do in US than in India (especially in metro cities). In fact I remember eating from a Dominos outlet in Jhansi (UP) which is a small border city of UP, and the Pizza were damn tasty there than in Delhi where I reside.
Feels like they don't roll their bases to the full extent like in the US and the boxes are small too, idk if they save money there or what but the bases seriously need more cooking.
@@srivishnudasu1694 Exactly! Their bases are too doughy. Whenever I try Cheese Burst crust, the base literally sticks to my gums like uncooked dough. And this is something that almost every outlet does. But when I complain, then they send the replacement well cooked. I mean why can't you make it like that in the first place?! That brownie cookie is a heaven.🥰 One of the best things you will taste in your whole life. In india, only Subway is the fast food chain that serves that, but Subway popularity is negligible in front of Domino's in India. It's not value for money!
The fact I have tried both of them and would personally say American Dominoes is better taste wise but the Indian Dominoes caters to the Indian Audience and toppings like paneer (cottage cheese) on pizza makes Indian Audience satisfied!
@@JoeAvella Ask Insider to have a real Food Wars rather having franchise washing on our faces cheez....., All of the franchise cater to one country or dominance America or Europe that's it.

the thing I'm noticing is that pizzas in the US looks so vibrant and has much bigger toppings while all the Indian pizzas kind of look the same yellowish? The dough also looks drastically different. In India it looks it's soft like a 'naan' bread while in the US the crust looks much more traditional and crunchy on the bottom. We in south Asians are getting scammed by dominos lol
Hey bud, actually it might be the other way around, US is pretty lax with adding chemicals to their food, so it 'looks' brighter/yummier but may be less healthy. So maybe the question is: Why does the US food look so bright and unnatural?
@@JoeAvella idk but I've tried pizzas in US and its hard to go back to regular pizzas we get here. There's a reason why foods are cheaper here lol. My idea for a pizza burger. Normal burger buns toasted with a garlic butter sauce like garlic bread, a patty made of Italian sausage, a layer of pepperoni slices, shredded mozzarella cheese, then a drizzling of marinara sauce on top. Not too much where it's super messy, just enough to get the marinara taste along with the other ingredients.

When Domino's first came to Canada years ago, I was all excited about their 30 minutes or free delivery . I learned early in the game to wait the extra 15 to 30 minutes and order from my old regular place. It took longer to arrive and it cost more but it was so worth it.

I still remember as a kid we all use to love eating from Domino's India but from past few years the taste and quantity of the cheese and other spices have been reduced and surprisingly prices went up!
I've been living in India for almost 10 years now and prefer its pizzas much over the Western menu. I still remember my first year in India seeing a big domino's ad where they'd advertise two new pizzas with 'exotic' vegetables, the exotic vegetables being broccoli and zuccini. goes to show that exotic is very much a question of perspective ;)
