I bought this guitar almost 5 years ago and it really stood the test of time. Great instrument. Now, ibanez dropped the new az standard, i am planning to get one.
Great review about this model going through the specs and sounds. I do have a similar model, a"RG370" (that has recently reclassified as RG470), but here in Brazil they are not a budget level, these Ibanez from 3xx to 5xx seires arises as intermediate options...
Nice, the 370 was one of my very first guitars, they play fantastically well and honestly I would put them against any other guitar for the same money :)
I'd say it's a higher level entry level as it's a 350 dollar guitar. When I was a kid, I used to have a strat knockoff with a cabinet amp that came in a little 150 dollar starter kit. That's cheap and bottom of the line for starter guitars. Fast forward 10, 12 years later and I'm no longer a kid and want to pick up the guitar again because I quit playing for awhile. Its kinda like starting out again but I've played before and once in a while I'd have access to someone's acoustic. I can still play, it's not something you forget. Just kinda sloppy. But I wanna get this guitar because I think it's not too cheap but not too expensive either. I definitely think I'll like it, but I'm gonna try it out again.
@DGNINEFOUR it is the only guitar purchase I've maid out of all of my guitars that has felt like they gave me waaaaay more than I had paid for.. Definitely you should have a play on one 😀
I've been playing an American strat since I was 15 I'm in my 50s now and I'm thinking seriously about that AX. I'm looking for a good HB dirty girl and I think this might be her.. thanks man.. 🤘
Great review. Been thinking about getting this, and you may have just convinced me. Thank you.
@robertmurphy5583 it would be a great purchase.. seen as low as 200 on e-marketplaces 2nd hand

It’s a jack of all trades…I would say yes.
It's a great barebone guitar. Swap out the electronics, bridge, nut and tuners and that guitar will slam everything 2-3 times of its price.
