I visited Wheels Through Time on 8/21/22, one day after this video. It was my first visit, and I didnt' expect to meet Matt, let alone get the chance to talk with him for a few minutes. He and the staff were so, so friendly and accessible. It was worth the trip! I had a chance to see Big Fish and the raffle bike and spent two hours roaming through the museum. Go, you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Matt and everyone at Wheels Through Time for sharing their space and collection with us.
Thanks for your support Michael! See you next time!!
For anyone who has never visited the museum it’s a must see😎👍
The smell of the place is worth the visit alone.
I have not…. Yet
Ridin down from MA next June
If I ever make it to the mainland it's definitely on my list🤙🏾.
Riding from Edmonton Alberta Canada to it. It’s my Mecca. It’ll take a bit of planning but it’ll be worth it. 👍
can't get to the real museum, but thanks Matt and team for wheels through time on you tube. my number one channel this one. 👍🇦🇺
I was in NC two weeks ago and saw the raffle bike in person. It's stunning. For that matter, the entire museum is stunning. Even if you're not a HD fan it's a must see just to witness (in person) how far motorcycles have come... and how far they've fallen. It's a beautiful thing. o7
An absolute work of art.
Long live Harley-Davidson.
👍🇦🇺
Matt, you’re making works or art. Doesn’t matter the $ value. That bike is priceless beyond the money. You’re such a master of your craft and the winner should be honored to own such a hand built treasure and real significant piece of history. Btw, I already have my tickets 👍🏻♥️
Thanks for the support!
Love what you do, especially with the total and utter passion you convey with your presentation. Stunning motorcycle lovingly re crafted. Well done.
I've got a few places on my bucket list to see when I visit from Australia.. wheels through time is definitely at the top 👌
good choice my friend
Definitely. Carter's Guitars in Nashville and Wheels in Time are at the top for me. I'll be riding as many States as I can in 2025.
Beautiful bike ! I believe my dad had a 37 Knuckle Head when he came home after WWII. Would love to have one so I could experience some of the things my dad did from riding a bike like this. The sound, exceleration, vibration and its quirks.
Beautiful machine Matt. Who ever wins this should be honored to have such an awesome bike
I attend 3 of the many rallies that are held in Maggi Valley and Cherokee every year. I hope you are always able to stay open. A must see for every biker.
My wife and I drove from Wisconsin to Maggie Valley to see the museum.
It is everything they say it is.
The staff is amazing, everyone is there.
We got to see Matt given out rides on a a flathead side car. Even got to watch him and his friend adjust the points.
We will be going back this year.
Only wish it was open 7 days a week! We went 3 times!
Beautiful Mountains too!
how far was the drive?
13 hrs on the way down.
14 on way back.
Was not a bad drive, some insane slowdowns but not bad.
@@koolaidacidkilla179 Wow...🐱👍🏿
I want you and the museum to succeed and sell tickets. You have done a beautiful job restoring that bike. A true museum piece to admire and ride. Matt, I haven't noticed any Sportsters at the museum. The early Sportsters are special bikes also.
yeah but theres 1000x more sportsters than there are flatheads, knucklehead, and before.. there wouldn’t be enough room to collect ironheads. they go for 5k max, so that would be too easy to fill the place up with them. i’m sure there’s at least one ironhead there.
Look around there were a few there
Plenty of Sportys at the museum
Love that y'all are raffling a beautiful HD. Wheels through Time follower for years...
Can't wait to see the raffle live. I'll make sure to donate again while I'm there.
Very nice example.
It's worth what someone is willing to pay.
The four Founders of Harley-Davidson knew they had a winner in the "61 OHV" EL Knucklehead. Just look at the famous photo of them gathered around the prototype machine. They look overwhelmed by it.
It's priceless to me. I just wanna say to all you folks, it's not for sale when I win it.
You have to love Harleys with their only one year parts. The jig and pattern makers would never run out of work.
Well now , I know I should have collected ,These bikes over the years , Great Show !
Did I see Paul Tuttle in the background?
😁 ✌️
Beautiful Bike We've All Helped Build.
Thanks Matt and Crew
🪶
I just spotted him too 😉
Sweet Ride sounds Like Gold and thank You Matt for You details and Work bless your Pop
Such a sweet ride. Man, I just bought 16 tickets and I'm getting a t-shirt. Cool
Man oh man… I hope I win that bike… I love it … you done a awesome job restoring it too…
Awesome, got my tickets in person, love everything you do
Don’t forget the 10% that the auction house puts on the bike after the sale so all in that bike is around 121k.
Sweet 👍👍! Wife and I are planning on being there in November, again!!
I have to go to the website and purchase a small fortune worth of raffle tickets because not only is that 37 Knuckle the most beautiful Knuckle I have ever seen but the preservation of all that history and those machines is very important and definitely should be supported by any of us that can. Every dollar counts these days no matter what it's used for and every donation that helps such a worthwhile place remain open is money well spent no matter how small or big it is. I am definitely going to be making a trip out to the WTT museum in person asap. But until then I had better help make sure it's open when I can finally get to it. 😉
I had a 1947 EL. Took a while to round up many of the parts to restore it, in a time way before the internet.
So Sweet!
Salute from New Zealand.
People like flat heads in the old days because they would run very cool due to their low compression. They were also very easy to kick over with their low compression. They were very tolerant about running on garbage fuel. Flat heads for also cheaper to manufacture and easier to maintain. Tuned right they had great potential.
Beautiful bilen. Runs as well or better than it looks!
Job very well done!
Matt I hope you have good documentation on this bike because I plan on coming down this summer and talking to you about it. I'm building the exact one as soon as I heard your idea on this. I ordered everything I needed to build the exact same one... I definitely want to do my paint just like you did
I could live at the museum. It's historic motorcycles makes you feel you lived in the past. I'd like to have the junk shed bikes!
When Harley-Davidson came out with the knucklehead they sued Crocker. They had a Crocker and a knucklehead in the courtroom in front of the judge. The judge looked at the Crocker and then look at the Harley and then told Harley that they were lucky that Crocker wasn't suing them.
Ahh, you got that clock in your office. Good job. And you were spot on with your estimate of $120,000. I totally understand why you don't want to price stuff, but you're probably as good at it as anyone. Thanks for another great vid.
He was spot on, 110,000 PLUS fees will be over 120,000 !
ok... quick appraisal from me..
37 brand spanking new HD knuckle head.. = priceless.. truly one of the most beautiful machines in the World..
thanks for sharing brother
keep the shiny side ^up^
♾️✌️♾️
Mate whoever wins the bike is going to be over the moon!
It looks and sounds beautiful.
I would love to go to this museum.
It's good to see my bike being stored properly. I'll be in to pick it up as soon as my ticket is pulled as the winner in November. JK....Thanks for the update....!😎
The little details on your bike, like the hand painted graphics with gold & silver leaf, make yours that much better.
If their's went 110k, I'd put yours at 125k+.
It's real nice that you do build them and raffle them off. Each year I've always at least got a couple of tickets I don't know about this year money is a little different now for me but. I sure hope you make more than if you sold it through the raffle at Mecum good luck
WOW....What a deal...Ans what a very beautiful Bike and a piece of awesome history....Thanks again Matt....Shoe🇺🇸
I grew up just a few miles from Maggie. I've dreamed of having a Knuckle Head since 1956 when my uncle gave me a ride on his. He told me to save my money and I could buy one for $140.00. That was like a million dollars to me then. I did eventually have Harleys but never a Knuckle Head. I'm an old man now but I still dream of getting bugs in my teeth.
My contact information is on raffle tickets I got. My email is there, also my phone number.

I know I sure did!
Love the colour with the black rims
So is the oil catch pan a factory original from 1937?
Outstanding!
I was just up there last week it's a beautiful museum well worth the 15 bucks
Thank you for your support!!
That is such a BADASS scoot!!!
You tube channel Fiery pitt forge and homestead is entered and really enjoyed the museum it was awesome!!!
This one really makes me wish I was standing in the Museum again...
Hey where could I find more info on a 54 Harley tele-glide?
It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
That is a very fine looking motorcycle. I hope whoever wins it rides it regularly.
Actually Harley-Davidson had a 21 OHV single-cylinder road model in the 1920s. Knucklehead was the first OHV road twin. In the teens several companies made road model OHV singles and twins: Royal Pioneer, PEM, Pope, Cyclone, Jefferson, etc. After that in the 1920s things regressed. The 1936 Knucklehead was a Renaissance in motorcycle technology.
I'm sure that was news to Matt.... 🙄
@@Hanks1938ELKnucklehead
That's stuff lots of guys don't know.
She's a beauty!! Can we as Canadians purchase tickets????
I bought a ticket, love that bike!
You can go to S&S and buy a brand new knucklehead Flathead Panhead Shovelhead Evolution motor, primary transmission. You can buy the frame you want the sheet metal you want the instruments you want have everything painted or powder coated before you put it together and for a third of the cost of the $121,000 motorcycle you could have your own built to your own specifications. The money men have placed too much value on everything because they don't want to have their money in dollars they want to have their money in something else so they pay ridiculous prices for Stuff. That's great if you're selling but it's bad if you're buying. It's a case of people paying silly money for something and then selling it to somebody else for even a higher price who sells it to somebody else for even a higher price. When I first started riding my little Honda in the early '70s I rode with Harley guys and all the road were old flat Edge Knuckleheads and panheads because they couldn't afford a new Harley. They were just used motorcycles not a top dollar collectible. Now they have all vanished from the roads.
Definitely a sweet ride.☘️
Are you sure you want to give yours away? I noticed the auction one had a fender light too. The same fender lights and fender tip gizmo were used on a range of Indians and Harleys until the 40's. Indian added the iconic war bonnet/Indian head fender light in 1940 , I think.
The "Value" of antiques is Subjective i.e. it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it but there is no Intrinsic value.
Matt, will you be having an open house celebration on Nov 19 for the raffle ??? Thx
Got mine months ago and I think I will get one more.
Since this is a bike assembled from parts of many bikes do the frame and engine numbers match up? Does this bike come with a title or ?
That bike sounds nice and smooth.
The only thing about the auction bike is it'll probably will never be run or ridden, it'll just sit on a floor and nothing likes to sit because that's where things won't work again unless it goes to someone that will run and ride it
I like the clock in the office. $110,000.00 raffle bike! Lets go!
Amazing 😮
I think there is actually a mistake on the raffle bike. The center section of the tank badge on the raffle bike does not have a black line at the end of it and the gold extends a little further than your bike. Both of them can't be right. I'm betting Harley put a black line at the end but I may be wrong. It will be interesting to know. Keep the good stuff coming.
cool
Beautiful, better than new.
that actually seems like a bargain, if you count the trips and years gathering bits and pieces to make one.
Amazing Knucle Head. I would love to win it.
....oh man...soundzzz Amazing........💯
What was the name of the builder that made the home-made bike using a car four cylinder engine? It was huge and Dale rode it on one episode of "What's In The Barn?". The builder was later killed in a shoot out with the cops. Dale bought a mini-bike type scooter also on this episode. I can't find anything on UA-cam about the giant home-made bike.
Beautiful scoot
Got my tickets hoping for the best. If not at least I helped keep the museum open
Thanks for the support!
Fantastic bike. Can canadians buy tickets on this bike?? Thanks
Guess that depends on how many repo parts is on the bike versus oe
How hard would it be to find, & what would it cost for the original front fender light...anyone?
EDITED: I found one online & it was only a Grand.
That is called the speedball tank stencil or "decal"
I'm entered!!!
If having one year only options makes a Harley valuable.... My 79 Sportster is priceless... lol.
Nice Bike
Are the auction and raffle bikes numbers matching? That makes a difference with value. Do you have to pay taxes on that value of around 100,000? Nevertheless even if it is not numbers matching that rarity of a 37 is big money.
PLEASE LORD!!!! I Bought a Hand Full of Tickets I SURE HOPE I get to Be there in November!!!!!! THAT is ONE Beautiful Work of Rolling ART~!~~ONLY Auction tickets I have ever Bought that went Straight into the SAFE
Thank for the support!
@@wheelsthroughtime 🙏🙏
I really wish y'all would give everyone a Free ticket as well
WOW!
Uhhhh, it’s so beautiful.
I'm raffling off my wife to buy some tickets!..😄😄
Are there kits of this bike that someone could build themselves.
Tank decal looks better on the raffle bike...the gold leaf looks better.
How can I buy some tickets love to win this bike for sure
Sensational
is that Mr. Paul Teutle in the background??
Brasil e nois 👍
Wonder how many tickets they will sell.
Well now I know how much it is worth when I win. It would be scary to ride being worth all that
