Growing up in Mexico City, my parents were constantly reminding me of these type of dangers. Stories here and there of people being drugged and waking up without an organ were pretty well known. That’s why you were always told to not put “organ donor” in your DL since that would be another way how they would identify the victims. I’m almost 30 and I’ve been hearing about this since I was in middle school. It’s absolutely insane how we still know nothing about this.

@@tonality531 it’s not that the cartel is checking for the dot, but if you are a donor, the chances of drawing attention to yourself are higher. It could also mean that EMTs and medical professionals could have an incentive to not save you if they see that you’re a donor. Every industry in Mexico has been heavily corrupted and there’s signs of organized crime everywhere. They mentioned it here, the ones choosing the victims are legitimate doctors. They probably check your DL. You think these people care if you’ll be able to live happily ever after with your new organ? The health or quality of the organ is irrelevant to them.

When I was growing up in Chihuahua, Mexico, in 2009, I remember many young people going missing (Although there are always people going missing). Around this time, the news posted their faces in the stores. Weeks after their disappearance, they would find bodies lying around the mountains and parks. They would come to find that they were opened up, and their organs were gone. In the Mexican news, they would report about the disappearances and how the bodies were found, although they did not disclose any more details. Once that happened for a couple months, they would post on the news that the police had shut down an organ harvesting base in a city in the state of Chihuahua. I was so small when I heard about this; I was 7 years old. People would always talk about the disappearances, and I cannot imagine the pain of the family members who had their families taken and killed.

"We're still here .... We are not going anywhere." - Native Americans 😔
Speaking of Native American people who have not occupied an inch of European land, or slaughtered a single European in Europe; while European Colonizers have occupied both North & South America lands and terminated 99.9% of Natives population.
      - Speaking of Europe which is actually a huge livable Continent with 45 nations. Russia alone is a ginormous nation which occupies nearly half of Europe with a relatively small population. Nearly half of mainland Asia, from Siberia to Far-East Asia also is inside Russia."
      - The 'land grab' is more of the same in Asia-Pacific region where European Colonizers such as Britain and Russia have already Colonized half of Asia, stretching from Australia/New Zealand, to Siberia/Far-East, all in Asia-Pacific region.😔
      - No doubt, greed is a major driving force behind Genocide, Slavery, Colonialism and Colonization.
      - By the way, many thanks for the informative multi-pages comment by 'Lonely Alaskan' at, "Complete History Of Indigenous America Before Colonialism/Chronicle"., that I've learnt a heck of a whole lot more about the plights of Native Americans than I've ever known my entire life.

No, I'm not denying the terrible things the Europeans did. It all happened. Many indigenous American groups fought with each other, took each other's lands, and enslaved each other too. The Apache and Commanche tribes were a prime example. The Cherokee tribe owned African slaves. The "Aztecs" lost power because many neighboring indigenous groups didn't like them, and sided with the Spanish. Heck, the Aztecs had a tower of skulls comprised of women and children, warriors where Mexico City is today. Not exactly the most peaceful group either.

For instance, 200 years ago here in the USA, around 3 million Germans came, and now there are 65 millions German-Americans; while 150 years ago, around 2 millions Irish came, and now there are 45 million Irish-Americans. While 500 years ago there were estimated to be 5 to 6 millions indigenous Native Americans in the USA, before Christopher Columbus arrived, today there are only around 2 million indigenous Native Americans survived.

The problem is that there just isn't enough organs for people to go about it the right way. I live in 1 of 2 canadian provinces that implemented a law that if you are an adult, if you pass away you automatically consent to organ donation unless you opt out prior. It still gives people the freedom to choose while allowing others who may not have ever considered donating to be able to help someone else.

Also, when you get blood transfusions and a kidney transplant, that can be extremely hard to receive another kidney because of how many antibodies you have created in your body for the 1st transplant and any blood transfusions.

This documentary is behind on the times, seen a documentary almost a decade ago that busted this wide open and also the hospitals who aren't asking any questions in the US when organs turn up for the patient, never asking "how" and fulfilling the surgery most times. Then there was suggestions that some surgeons themselves were also in on it as far as being paid as well to keep it quite because these are very expensive surgeries for the patient and most of the clientele was very rich men\women and most organs were coming way farther than South America but from Manilla where a good chunk of the population have sold their kidneys. This is old news so idk why she is acting like they can't get an organ from South America to the US in two days because they are coming from all over the world within hours to some of our most renown transplant hospitals. Thing is it's something that can't be sloppy and usually there are helicopters that fly this as their cargo on their regular trips doing other things but are paid well to have a few organs in their cargo space. It's been understood for quite some time but that old documentary showed just how corrupt the hospitals, surgeons and dying patients are when these surgeries are carried out in the US. Even non citizens (rich) are coming to US hospitals to have these transplant surgeries carried out. It's insanity and most of these organs coming from Asia. I will try to find that documentary if it hasn't been nixxed by TpTB over the past decade but it was eye opening and the reporter was one of the first whistle blowers to come with names, places and actually followed the patient even after they got the transplant and documented the entire process. He even got to talk to some of the surgeons on both sides of the world (real and black market). It was kind blowing seeing it for first time because it's something you know has always happened (since medically we've been able to transplant) but you could never imagine just how corrupt and what upstanding citizens are aware and are in on it in some fashion of the process.

If I buy a house, the underwriters wanna know everything about everything. Seems like there should be laws in place forcing these questions. Im sure they would just fake the paperwork but at least there would be a paper trail.

As always, in the USA is where most of the drugs are sold, same for organs and other forms of trafficking. If there were no demands, these issues wouldn’t happen. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Maybe because the USA has a big population and an economy stronger than the global average. And in the usa the media makes these type of reports and documentaries more frequently about whats going on there than the rest of the world (I am not even american)

These doctors are targeted from the most terrifying cartels and gangs around the world. They will make someone do something without even asking and simply use their families as collateral if they do not follow through.

lol. Cause there’s no such thing as bad doctors. There was a doctor in the US aborting babies at 8-9 months (murdering babies) for money. No one was threatening him.

Whats weird about the person who paid for a pancreas is that if hes a type one the body will eventually attack the beta cells again, rendering him a diabetic again. Secondly, diabetes is easily managed by insulin and significantly cheaper that what he paid for the organ. This seemed very wasteful to do when diabetes can be managed and the fact that his body can attack the cells again. Even ifs hes not a diabetic you dont need a pancreas to survive as long as you have insulin.

After finishing the documentary, I was also thinking that a legal market, mandated by the government, both in process and payout, would make a dent in the cartels that specializes in organ trading. Through looking online people state with this question on "oh it can be exploited, oh it will hunt down impoverished people, disabled parents/children, etc." but what if it cannot be exploited, what if instead of signing up for your organs to be paid out when you die is much a more rigorous process than the easy process of donating?
There are many options that can be explored to ensure that the organ sold by a person that is either healthy or recently died, that absolutely consented to it. No incapacitated person or power of attorney/conservatorship/third parties that have power over the person, are allowed to sign up for organs being sold.
Legalized organ trading can and would snub those in the black market. Applies to drugs as well, if you have it legalized, it will be supervised, allow addicts to be open to recover, cut down deaths, cut down addicts as well (see Portugal), and put a halt to criminals dealing in it. It's proof in the pudding when we first had the Prohibition era, there's a good reason why alcohol no longer illegal now (not including dry states but that's a whole nother discussion).
