  • Crouching Squirrel Hidden Monkey starts with a smooth fast mellow flow section that lures you into a false sense of security. But out of nowhere you're hit with janky roots and rocks, a long raised log ride, a slab section and a sketchy, tight and steep section with a cliff on one side near the end. The best way to describe this trail is a blue flow trail with surprise black features to keep you on your toes.
The trail is accessed via a steep forest access road directly from Alice Lake and ends on Brackentrail near the new Skyridge development.
Squamish is located in BC, Canada about a 50 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Your comment at the beginning was so correct. I was "lured" onto this trail when trail running. You have no idea what my 64 year old knees felt like afterwards!!!. Loved the music at 6.23. Added to the scariness factor. Great video. Thanks

Thanks very much. Good on you for still running technical trail at 64. I'd would highly advise you NOT run Rigs in Zen!

One of the few videos of a trail in that area that makes the trail look appealing and fun to ride.

Love watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to show markers where other trails meet or go. As well as showing the obstacles and easy/hard lines. I can only imagine the time and effort you put into your videos, thanks!👍

Great video. I hit that trail when I was in BC last summer, but ended up on Kiki by accident. I wish I'd known your channel then, it would have provided me with invaluable information on some of the trails.

FYI, the slab when you go to the right is harder, you have to control your speed to make the turn, Straight you can just let it go! The bottom is such a gnarly spot, the inside line I have only done once.
I'll show you the old Crouching one day, There is a nasty fun spine slab thats pretty intimidating ;)

That's pretty surprising. I actually ended up watching your video to figure out where right went and it didn't look that bad....GoPro effect I guess.
