i use to do a lot of commission work and started to loose my love of crochet then i made the decision to lets do this on my terms (i promise i getting to the point lol) so now i crochet whatever my little heart desires and give it away, i really love helping/blessing others and i dont have a bunch of finished crochet projects taking over my house, the one item i will NEVER do is those plush animal thingies, it aint for me
I love that approach - crochet what you want! I often think it would be great to make money crocheting but I never want to not love it / look at it as work, so for now, I just make things and blab on and on about crochet online :D
Nice video! Glad I found you. I taught my daughter to crochet & we both hold our hooks differently. We love to crochet together, but you'd never know I taught her. What worked for me, didn't for her -- but she's a marvelous creator!! 🥰💕
I love that you crochet together - my oldest daughter and I crochet together as well (the youngest one isn't into it yet, but I say she will be with time) :)
soooooo agree about the tail gambling!! i weave my ends in INTENSELY, i'm pretty sure that my ends can't possibly come undone once i'm finished with them lol, if i'm spending 15+ hours on a projects then i'm gonna take the extra hour or two to properly weave in the ends :)
I'm not a fan of granny squares, which I know is not a popular opinion. For one, they give me flashbacks to my childhood outfits with bad pattern and color blends. I'm just not a fan of 70's vintage clothing (that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate lovely granny squares, especially those that look like flowers, that others do though!). Secondly, I don't want a breeze on my when I have a blanket on my lap. I prefer small holes for blankets. I make mostly baby blankets and I choose tighter stitch patterns because of this. Finally, I don't like to weave in ends so changing colors every round is not for me! So I'm definitely not hopping on the granny square wagon any time soon!

i learned the hard way to weave in the ends at the finish of a project cause when i would have to frog and it would not come undone 🤣
Exactly!
