I’ve used them for decades. They’re all I use, I’ve never minded weaving in ends. The plastic might have molding ridges from manufacturing, I just take a fine nail file to perfect them. Also the best for when you want to split the thread into which you’re weaving.

I'm the opposite! Picking out colours is the hardest part of every project. I get into a paralysed indecisive mess. I now have just 5 pastel colours that I rotate, and then I'll sometimes use neutral greys, tans, creams etc for specific clothing items. Plus white, of course. It means everything I make matches. It can get a little dull sometimes tho. And if they ever stop making the colours I buy ... ... ... ☠️

I love the idea of everything matching / having a consistent look, though!

Would love to see you demonstrate how to weave in all those loose ends and not adversely affect the pattern. I've never had success doing so unless I'm doing at least two rows of each color. Btw, love your blanket - good luck in winning a prize!

I used moss stitch for the first time as a border for a blanket I’m currently working on. Weaving in the ends didn’t affect the pattern. If we were on facebook, i would show you pictures of what I am talking about.

Love that you document your projects. I mainly make cards and this year I’m doing a makes book so I have a record of all the cards and challenges I’ve completed. I’m loving it and have decided to go back and do one from the beginning of my journey. This has given me so much inspiration on how to do it. Thank you for sharing ❤

I don’t know if you have this where you live, but where I live, the police departments are always looking for donations of any kind of stuffed animals. They keep several in their trunks for children that have just been in a fire, or other call that they go on. The fire department also keeps some on their trucks. Maybe there is something like that where you live. Here the premature baby ward here in the hospitals where I live want donations of hats, blankets, and small stuffed animals to put on and in with the babies. Just a thought.

soooooo agree about the tail gambling!! i weave my ends in INTENSELY, i'm pretty sure that my ends can't possibly come undone once i'm finished with them lol, if i'm spending 15+ hours on a projects then i'm gonna take the extra hour or two to properly weave in the ends :)

@@charlottebruce6841 Thanx Charlotte but am TRYING to picture it! Taking time to "thread" yarn thru needle vs sliding hook under stitches & pulling yarn end thru! Maybe I'm just too old to grasp the concept! I never knew there WAS another way! Hmm... So, you think I should TRY teaching this old dog a "new" trick? Taking callers now! Cast your votes! 👍 or 👎 on whether I can learn or not! 😉😊✌️❤️

i use to do a lot of commission work and started to loose my love of crochet then i made the decision to lets do this on my terms (i promise i getting to the point lol) so now i crochet whatever my little heart desires and give it away, i really love helping/blessing others and i dont have a bunch of finished crochet projects taking over my house, the one item i will NEVER do is those plush animal thingies, it aint for me

I bought a pack of these about a year ago. They are great. You can weave in either direction using the shortest thread. Never have to take a short tail and rethread it to weave it in.
