people only care about negatives of life rather than positive they get off on it tbh
A few things to remember:
- the pilot managed to land the plane in one piece , safely to the ground
- majority of passengers were ok
- this is quite rare
Hope those who feel scared or fear after watching this video finds this at least somewhat soothing, I am tired of all media promoting only fear and nothing, that’s why modern society’s mental health is declining
They are literally trained to do this job… why didn’t they avoid the weather. That’s the question. Maybe that will concern people
exactly
That's partly the reason. Mostly it is too much time infront of screens. Social media in particular. There is an entire planet out there to explore. Best not view it through a screen.
That must have been a terrifying experience.I salute the pilot for regaining control and landing safely.Well done. RIP to the one that tragically lost their life.

Happened to me once. A lady squeezed a huge bag up there although the attendant told her not to. It popped out during a small turbulence and hit my shoulder. No apology from her. She checked the bag but not me, she cared about her bag more than me.
Terrifyingly awful experience, glad I wasn’t on that plane😢hope they all recover poor people 😢

I've been on a flight that experienced sudden turbulence followed by a freefall right after takeoff. We were only about 3000ft above the ground and the whole thing lasted only about 5 seconds but the screaming and panic onboard was just overwhelming.
Imagine being on a plane while it's still on a low altitude and it just starts falling towards the ground...
My abs were hurting a week after that.
That's beyond SCARY !
glad They didn't lose control. Thank God.
Did the pilot bump something, remember the 787 that did the same thing In the past few months!
thanks the engineers, the pilots, the mechanics and regulations.

Rip to the man who passed. With that being said, this is nothing short of a miracle by the looks of it. The pilots done an amazing job as this could have been a disaster.
The plane didn`t drop 6000 ft, it just descended for emergency landing.

It's a very long flight and people need to go to the bathroom there buddy.
Seatbelt will be tear apart in such extreme turbulence 😂
Would not have helped the guy who died from a heart attack though.
That wouldn't help a man having a heart attack...neither would it help with overhead storage doors opening and cases flying out
Those heavy overhead cases could have attributed to some of the injuries as they dropped on those seated in the cabins😮
Bay of Bengal area is a common turbulent area. Very scary.
Joshuas waves are spinning thou 🌊
For those who don’t know the shard London is about 1000feet and 6000feet is about 1.1miles and to drop that in 3mins is insane
It’s not insane. That’s 2000 feet a minute which isn’t unusual for a descent
They probably drop further and faster than that each and every time they land 🙄 but thanks for educating the Londoners on height.
The fact that the pilot landed it is an insane feat.
@@tmar8959 Not really, as an experienced pilot he would have successfully landed planes on thousands of occasions.

By the ways, thanking all Singapore Airlines staff and crew for doing such a very good strategy, against a very adversively, scary moment to remember on. 😢😢
Pressing F to pay respect to all people on board, and the dislikes goes to the somersaulting people who breached and flouted aviation passenger laws.
Can’t imagine what that would’ve been like. Shout out the pilots and crew
Well done to the pilot for managing the aircraft under that level of pressure.
This turbulence can happen to any flight.
OMG how very scary. Prayers for all those affected. 🙏
I wonder why the press keep presenting the 6000 feet drop in a few minutes as something necessarily terrible when that is exactly what planes do when they are landing. The issue is not the "sudden" drop but that it happened when the plane was supposed to still be cruising.
Yeah, the not-so-sudden drop (6000ft in 3 mins is perfectly normal) was likely the pilots dropping to a lower altitude to get out of the turbulence. I read in a newspaper the actual turbulent drop from hitting a cold pocket of air was something like 80ft, which is why everything not strapped down hit the ceiling.
The weather radar did not detect the turbulence? I’d flown a lot of times to Asia, usually the pilots informed the passengers the turbulence in advance.
"Sudden" is your clue word sir
No, not if it's clear air turbulence. It doesn't show on radars. There's never any warning.
"Clear air turbulence" cannot be detected on radar.
There is this thing called clear air or invisible turbulence from clear air pockets
They're already getting their stories mixed up. My guess, there was no turbulence but someone died from a heart attack
So many clickbait headlines make it sound like the man was killed by falling objects
It’s laughable at this stage 😂😂😂
He was killed by a falling object.. the aircraft.
"Turbulence" is no less of a clickbait.
Wow guys that must have been very scary….well done to the pilot for landing the plane 🙏🏼
Turbulence is part of nature and flying and is not the pilot or the airlines fault. Simple.
No-one has said it is.
Really depends on whether they knew about the turbulence and if there was something that could be done to avoid it. Its not that easy as “yea flying turbulence normal blabla not pilots’ fault”.
My Air Force pilot uncle used to say that if there were seatbelts in the bathroom...he would have buckled it on. ALWAYS keep the seat belt fastened

Was Weather Radar on Boeing 777-300er Working Properly ?
Why was it UNDETECTED ?
Turbulences are often go undetected. On any aircraft..
This type of turbulence cannot be detected on radar, at least not with today's technology.
Radar needs something to bounce off. With clear air turbulence there is nothing to give a return (unlike storm clouds where the water in the cloud gives a return).
Respect to the pilots , Godbless them ✝️🙏 Condolences to the elderly gentleman who died 🙏✝️ 💔 and to all the passengers sending love & Strength ❤ 🌹🌹

Dropping 6000 feet and still landing safely takes a lot. Seems like an amazing job done by the pilots but no mention though. Hopefully the investigation will give us the answers. God bless

Bro’s waves saved him.
Someone needs to check that the weight of carry on bags they allow these days doesn't exceed the rating of the overhead bins.
Big salute to the pilots inspites he did an excellent and landing safely🙏
i flew multiple times from hong kong to the uk during my studies there the past 10 years. There was always a warning for turbulence and an announcement to fasten out seatbelts. I doubt the majority of the passengers had theirs fastened.
Gosh blood is on the ceiling
In a few places too
Nah it’s ketchup I had a hotdog at the time 😂😂😂😂😂😂
They've confused their stories. Other news outlets have pushed the idea people were thrown against the ceiling. There was a heart attack though so we can actually figure out easily what's happened..again
@@ashwilliams4959 People _were_ thrown against the ceiling, along with food and anything else not secured...
@krashd 'there were things coming down from the ceiling' bit different to people were falling from the ceiling... I get it's a 'conspiracy' that terrifies anyone who fell for it but as soon as I saw the original, breaking news story, called the death as a heart attack and now a day later, long enough to create this scene, we get this evidence? Use your noggin, things like this are happening all the time now
Turbulence in the jet stream has increased 15% since they started monitoring in the 1970s.
Terrible ordeal. The pilot did well to land it safely.
They are literally trained to do this job… why didn’t they avoid the weather. That’s the question.
Why didn't the pilot avoid the turbulence area?
Can't always see it coming, and even modern avionics equipment can miss it.
For a pilot to completely avoid wind would mean them not flying.
@@Blessed-Beautiful There's literally no such thing, such an unfortunate world where people are expected to know everything by the same individuals who shame them for asking the questions in the first place.
Stupid thinking too.
Be interesting to see if the plane is the same model mentioned by the whistle blowers
Very interesting
6000 feet! Im surprised there weren't more heart attacks 😭
In 3min, so not really a continuous free fall. Still must have been scary for a lot of people.
@@timetraveler_0that’s 2000 feet a minute. That’s totally normal
The 6,000 feet being referred to was the initial descent into Bangkok and nothing to do with the turbulence. The turbulence was significant, (and thankfully rare) but likely the total climb/descent attributable to the turbulence was within 750 - 1000 feet over a short period. Still not something I’d want to experience, but some of the numbers being thrown around by media companies are absurd.
@@timetraveler_0 I thought it had plummeted 6000 feet.
Still it must've been absolutely terrifying.
Jeez this is SCARY
A guy who went to the plane toilet when this happened had no idea he was going to Bangkok that day.
A single visit to a toilet can change the course of your life. Very true, and not just on a flight.
@@lordjim3109 "Bangkok"
How could they not predict such strong turbulence in the area with all the modern technology available?
Because it was clear air turbulence. Clear air means it's not seen on radar, or obviously they'd have flown around it! It comes out of nowhere
This is the turbulence of nightmares. It goes undetected on the radars. Only bad weather and storms mainly show up
Why could I predict it was a heart attack death?
Is the plane fixed in 3rd or 6th class patterns with other parts, etc. Is it old?
0:21. the hell is that on the roof panel?
The things coming of the ceiling was my James Bond dive from a plane to this plane.

Pea brain 🧠
And the saying goes that "flying is one of the safest ways to travel". I think a lot of folk on that plane would disagree. Shame that somebody goes out on a plane for a holiday or a trip...and they don't make it back. That's the sad part of the tale...for someone...it was their last chapter of their life.
Always keep your seatbelt fastened when seated even if the FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT sign is off.
Friendly reminder that earlier this year a boeing whistleblower exposed several areas the company was cutting corners and compromising safety of their aircraft in favour of reducing costs. The whistleblower in an interview emphasised that they are not suicidal and if they die it was murder. Shortly later he died and the government said it was suicide.
This is why i always get loaded before flights. Scary stuff.
I once flew from bangkok to phuket in a thunderstorm. Ive been afraid ever since. Terrifying

Could the very strange amount of airtime given to this unusual incident (with a single fatality) have anything do with ANOTHER highly unusual air accident one day ago. But in that helicopter crash 8 people died, including the President of Iran himself. "Hey folks, weird air accidents caused by strange weather conditions do happen then!" Who'd have guessed! two in the same 24 hours too.
Yes, they want flights to be stopping by 2030, gotta put people off somehow. 15 minute prisons, I mean Cities.

The important nrssage sky news forgot to include in this report is how important it is to keep your seatbelt fastnened for the whole flight. It van be loosened off but knly take it off to get out of your seat. Its not uncomfortable to wear like that so no real need tk undo it. Guarantee all those passengers will leave their belts done up kn their next flight but be good for the world to learn the importance of keeping your belt done up when the sign goes out
What BS will they blame this on? Its getting a hell of a lot of media coverage!
This is Bangladesh airlines, not Singapore airlines.
@01:59 "Unable to get their seat belts back on", I wonder if these idiots use their seat belts at all times while driving a car or they wait for a truck to pull out in front of them to get strapped.

How many meter is 1 feet.?why cant idiots just use meter like the whole world does...
A skydiver will drop 6000ft in around 35 seconds , thats a very quick unplanned drop for passengers in an aluminium tube
The 6,000 feet descent was over a few minutes, probably done to get to a smoother lower altitude after the clear air turbulence event. Planes usually descend at 2,000-2,500 feet per minute...
6000 ft in 2 minutes is fast but more likely happened is that was experiencing extreme sudden drops in altitude in between the 6000ft
the Airbus had a problem where it absolutely intercepted angle of attack sensors and directed it to the trim witch unfortunately directly manipulated the trim immediately (instead of smoothing it out or just ignoring it as implausible data and a error on maintenance computer and possibly disabling the flight director partially) one day they had a problem with multiple angle sensors that were unfortunately all reading the same incorrect information which caused the plane to immediately set the trim suddenly Max down and then back up to level again Mutiple times until they disable the trim or selected direct law mode and on that flight they had panels missing on the roof where people had hit them hard enough to break them (this flight was just blood and o2 masks deployed and one person had an heart attack)
