I had to go spray my Aoud Leather after watching this. It's so nice. I have and love 4 of those 5. I think Oud Tobacco is criminally underrated and you don't hear alot about it. Montale is my favorite house. The quality/scent/performance/price value is the best of all the houses.
You are right, I have Oud Tobacco and it is a beast not even just a beast, a fragrance godzilla. 😊

Finally a top list that has a few - or at least one of - my faves. Oud Tobacco is a great winter (cool weather) scent. Not abrasive/aggressive like most other Montale Ouds
I got oud tobacco for my dad last xmas i believe that shit was a beast on him i could smell him all day with strong projection never died down.. i really hope montale never weakens or reformulates there fragrances because there honestly besides mancera same difference really the only two niche houses left that actually make quality fragrances that are beast mode and under 150$ or at designer prices..
Everytime i buy a niche people say its beast mode it never is but mancera and montales seems too practically always perform amazing.. i get tons of compliments from honey aoud.. dark vanilla is another slept on one.. aoud vanille from mancera is really good too nobody talks about it either its strong and i have the magnetic cap version..

@MARIOLANZO honey aoud is good the honey sweetens up the oud and the oud has a woody, smokey leather smell.. everyone loves it when i wear it never had anyone say anything bad.. ive also never had a oud smell bad on my skin so far and i own several oud fragrances.. oud smells smokey and sweet and woody on my skin i guess im lucky..
@MARIOLANZO i need to pick up oud tobacco as well lol.. i dont remember what it smells like but i do know i liked it, it was different and definitely winter fragrances worthy for sure my dad wore it in summer in high humidity it never was cloying but it was projecting literally the entire day and night amazing performance..

Hi Joel.... I have 3 of them. To be specific, Aoud Leather, Intense Café and Oud Tobacco. I would like to try Arabians Tonka and Amber Musk.
I recommend to you BLUE AMBER. It has an excellent performance (longevity and projection)

I order black aoud years ago and all it smelled like was old lady rose musty rose literally it never changed.. my wife tried it same smell didn't react different on her skin.. so i said now what do i do with it i cant even give it away it was that horrible smelling.. so i used it as a bathroom spray lol big mistake smelled like 80yr old rose perfume for like a week im not even kidding i couldn't get that smell out of the air.. idk if i got a bad bottle or something but i bought it from Fragrancebuy or fragrancenet who are trusted retailers and yeah i ended up throwing it in the trash i was super angry.. maybe ill order a decant from somewhere and see if it smells different.. but it certainly didnt smell anything like Brooklyn fragrance lover said it smelled like..

@@andrewwilliams9809 I think you should test it prior to purchasing, coz it is gourmand scent. If you are bold enough to get different feedbacks and compliments then go for it. To me it smells like Nutella, for others - coffee, sweet vanilla or candy.

The two I own are Red Vetiver and Intense Cafe I enjoy both great juice!!! I like Starry Nights too just a little feminine for me to pull off but it smells like the dry down of Intense cafe w/o the coffee.
Love both intense cafe and starry nights, starry nights pulls much more masculine on me though.

@@justinpearson8615 Its really weird how fragrances react, some of my feminine fragrances pull completely different on my husband regarding certain notes.
Starry nights is the one he says is quite masculine on me but I love it 😍 lots of compliments even through masks, more so than the others ive mentioned.

@@g.cold94 it has a strong projection while long lasting too. Describing it in layman terms would be roses and coffee but it works well together.

Oud Tobacco is fire.
Intense cafe, arabians tonka and sensual instinct were all to similar in dna so if i were to repurchase it would be intense cafe.
My fave is starry nights and intense tiare but they are super strong so need to apply with caution.
I LOVE intense cafe but it's more feminine than unisex

Hey Joel quick question. Do you also by chance own Honey Aoud? I have been thinking about getting that one online because nowhere around where I live sells it. So I was wondering if you could tell me if it's more oud than honey or if it's the opposite way around if it's more of a pleasant oud with more honey. Basically would you recommend it as a beginner oud fragrance?
I get about the same amount of honey and oud but some say they get more oud, its a little medicinal but its not too bad it was one of my first ouds, i'd sample it first, but it does smell great!

I think it's a beginner Oud although at the beginner to intermediate stage. I think a better beginner oud fragrance is honey oud(same name) from Floris London.

I own honey aoud and me too this was my first oud fragrance.. i haven't wore a oud yet that smelled fecal or medicinal on my skin. On my skin the oud gives off this smokey, sweet leather smell with honey playing in the background the whole time this is literally what i get from start too finish.. its really nice i love it and ive gotten tons of compliments with it. Especially my family every time i wear it every ones says ohh someone smells nice what is that lol.. i haven't met anyone who hasnt liked it yet id say its a safe blind buy but yeah these days with niche should sample everything first.. they be charging way too much for things people say smell like a masterpiece that just smells like creed aventus or dior savuage in the end lol or spicebomb and the performance on a lot of niche fragrances suck now they banned a bunch of notes so lots of niche houses like parfums de marley had too reformulate all there stuff and they are trash now dont even both with parfums de marly if you didn't get them atleast 2-3yrs ago your late too the party..

Yeah I would say it leans slightly feminine. It’s a great scent though, looking to get a decant for ristretto and auod cafe to see if it has a similar profile but slight lean masculine. Royal vanilla is also in the same ballpark but still not masculine enough for me.

@@lawsemaj I have a decant of Arabian tonka, not a huge fan of it BUT I’ve only sampled it on a tester strip, haven’t tried skin yet and sometimes that makes a huge difference. Haven’t tried honey aoud.
I bought aoud leather because of this video lol. It's my first montale and my first niche. At first I wasn't crazy about it but I really think it's starting to grow on me. It's like a nice citrusy leather. It may be hard for 20 year-old me to pull off though haha. Maybe when I'm really dressed up or something

@@arim850 nope this is my first Montale. Update, I still like it but it's impossible to pull off. I can't think of a situation I'd wear it and it smells very mature. So I usually layer it with something fresh/aquatic/bubblegum-y and it makes it more accessable. Doesn't last though. 4-5 hours in it's gone with the wind it seems

1 big mistake you made brother is spraying it on the same spot, you just combined 5 fragrances so the nose is confused. Gotta make sure you had sample cards to spray them on and coffee beans to clear the scent the nose caught 🙌🏼

Roses Vanille from Mancera is goddamn gorgeous. Beast mode rose vanilla combo that leans feminine. I'm a guy, and if it didn't lean feminine I'd wear it myself every other day..

Intense Cafe has way more than 5% coffee in it, it’s just superbly blended. On my skin, the coffee to rose ratio is 70/30.

Yes they do, I was looking on their site yesterday. They sell perfume samples and mini travel bottles. The travel bottles are 3 for $120 and the samples were $20 for 4 or 5 iirc.

@@BoulevardX The oud is slightly animalic in the opening, but it goes away, so don’t be put off by that. I think it’s one of the sexiest scents ever. I’m a woody gourmand lover and Arabians Tonka checks all my boxes. I hope it works out for you!
