It doesn't slap you in the face, but it is long-lasting and the sillage is noticeable. I like the fact that it's not too sweet. It just leans sweet in a subtile, vanilla way. It's one of my favorites from Montale.

Maybe formulations from 8-10 years ago were bigger, but not mine (from 3 yrs ago).

I have had the same reactions to Montale fragrances. I expected them to be beast mode based on all the reviews, but they turned out to be quite subdued. Black Aoud was the best example of this.
I have to leave all my Montales and Mancera’s to sit for a couple of months after opening to get the fantastic sillage and projection…except Red Tobacco- that was insane from the first spray!! 😂

That's weird, I haven't tested it in a while but I remember as being monstrous I could be wrong though. I would really like for you to test his Honey Aoud fragrance, just to give us a slight idea as to how his oud note is made and also to maybe inspire you more to make a honey fragrance 😁😍

Xerjoff Erba Pura and Kirke project for like 5 h and they Last over 12 h. From Montale/Mancera Ristretto Intense Cafe, Instant Crush, Oudmazing, but the strongest fragrance that I've ever tested is Black Prestigium- Mancera.

That first batch was up there with Habdan Tygar Grand soir Oceania Elysium Carlise 540 extrait Surgi D&G royal night Guerlain lhomme ideal cologne,EDT or EDP YSL Tuxedo I had Arabians tonka up that high and I CANT STAND MONTALE, I think it’s because the cans they use but with this one in particular it didn’t even matter.
Dark inky, rose, musky, ambroxan,powdery smell exactly like club de nuit sillage, test both side by side you will notice the similarities, the mid to dry down of Arabian tonka is exactly quite similar
If this gets sprayed like 4 times it will get you noticed from about 20 metres away. Montale is always great bang for buck. I love this and Ristretto Cafe Intense.
Nah this is easily a 10/10 if this is anywhere near someone’s genre. Heavily underrated and it’s past beast mode!!!!! I can only do one or two sprays max and people smell it over a arms reach 🤨🧐. I must say with no disrespect people like us who smell “countless” fragrances daily have different tolerance level vs the “normal” populous, when I was a noob 15 years ago I couldn’t tolerate heavier frags now that’s all I wear. 😅

Montales are way too strong for my taste... however, i kind of get why people like them... really bold... I think one of the better montals I've smelled were Oudamazing and soleil de capri. If you get a chance, please review Oudamazing =D. i own soleil de capri, but wanted to hear your review on the other.
This is one of my beast mode fragrances... 2 sprays and it fills up a room, with great projection and sillage. The perfect perfume in my opinion. I really can't understand... maybe it needs maceration.
I get what you're saying about how you could barely smell it on your skin. The big problem for me was that it did not last very long at all, definitely not worth the price in my opinion. And the scent wasn't really very enjoyable for the short time it lasted. Kind of boring.

This must have been reformulated, my bottle is nuclear. 16h+ longevity, metres of projection. Somebody hugged me for a couple of seconds and they could smell it on them for an hour or two, and that was many hours after I'd sprayed it.
I wonder if this has been reformulated. I've got a decant of this and the sillage is huge, 2 sprays of this fills the room and it transfers to all my clothes. Unfortunately it's got an oud note that on my skin is really screechy.

I don’t agree with this review, this lasts all day, and if my wife wears it , I can smell the sillage drifting downstairs as she walks around the house, it is strong but not obnoxious, and my wife wears this and is complimented constantly

I sprayed it in my room and could smell it 2 days after it in the air😅 it has also that nice hairspray-vibe in it which I really like on all Montales😊

Tried this one yesterday. Definitely not my type as it was almost nauseatingly strong, but the dry down was beautiful. Nuclear projection and sillage.

Perfectly unisex. Very sexy imo. Hard to wear in warmer weather thanks to the sweetness. My fave Montale so far.
Update, it keeps raking in compliments (I often wear it for dates), definitely a compliment monster. Also lasts for days on clothing.
