STORMER 281 i had the exact opposite experience. I got laughed at by like 4 different people and got made fun of because I didn’t have ash when she was $20 and played a $45 elementsaber deck that went 1-4. I got laughed at by every opponent and even a few bystanders

There are definitely some simple, and some are very effective, strategies you can do. 5. Yes. Definitely. Just remember, if you're playing a 60 card Deck and someone tells you to kill yourself, just ignore them they're being an asshole. 6. I've only met 2 people irl that are actually pieces of shit, and one of them uses banned cards with an already broken Deck and the other one was a Danger Darkworld Firewall played pre-ban. 7. What do you mean my Full Gambling Deck can't beat Sky Strikers? That's outrageous! JK yeah they really aren't. You have to learn matchups and decide if you're gonna play high tier or low tier, also which Master Rule you want to play now because different Decks work better in different MRs. 8. I have Pepe and I have a Lycanthrope Deck. You can play whatever you want people. 9. You can brick, you can lose, you can just end up against someone who plays absolutely annoying shit that makes you just want to stop playing the game right there, and that's jusy how it goes sometimes. 10. Not just even winning though, but even pulling off your Decjs big play and either winning or nearly winning or even just knowing you we're able to do it and getting it slowly turned around and having a massive back and forth... It can be fun for any if not all of these reasons.
My wife and I play casually and we have some amazing games. I was using Cyber Angels and she was using Gren Maju and it went to our very last cards. I actually lost by deck out to her Dark Bribe.
I think all that hardship that you mentioned is what makes it so rewarding in the end, especially the winning. If it was easy to win, very low effort or if there was only a few ways of making the best deck then people won't value it as much and probably even lose interest. The veriety and complexity help it out in the long run
I just started with a structure deck for 5 dollars and got booster packs when I could. Then I just changed out cards in my deck. I mean for a casual player like me a structure deck is all you need but having a custom deck of your own making is a lot of fun too.
I really love the mature way you guys show how the game should be and. And also that you showed how people should be playing Yu-Gi-Oh game on this days this game is for fun and to make more friends doesn't matter if you would like to play competitive you still have to get fun that's what matters
Thanks for the content. I'm borderline consodering returning to yugioh. I'm hesitent though because of how my local scene was around xz format...it was toxic..and i was pretty much bullied a lot. Just don't want to deal with that kind of social pressure again.
It helps when You have a friend that plays the game, I didnt have one until I went to a locals so just try it and talk with the owner, he/she probably knows.
Phantom XII My friend plays mirror force in his paleo deck and so manh people have gotten hit by it. Still think he should play other cards but its fun to see it work.
Something I love about Yu-Gi-Oh ia that, even if you play against the exact same person with the exact same deck again, it will a completely different match

In regard to number 10 I generally enjoy the game even if i lose. The only time I don't enjoy the game is if I don't even get a chance to play during the duel.

Vanilla Igknights are VERY simple to learn, and they are cheap as well. I personally use a variant using ultimate baseball kid and command knight that doesn't require a extra deck even with the link mechanics.
It's just so depressing how the game killed all my friends passion for it. We really loved Yu-Gi-Oh but the game just isn't the Yu-Gi-Oh we loved anymore.
I mean outside of mine burn which next to no one is playing right now because damn near everyone is siding for it, Chain Burn is a horribly inconsistent strategy that'll probably work out with you winning one of every three duels and thus, losing every match.
Yu-Gi-Oh players are definitely much nicer in person. Actually at locals this past weekend, the guy I was playing in Round 1 was giving me a few pointers mid-match since I was playing a very recently-constructed Blue-Eyes Guardragon deck, and some of the stuff he told me really helped me get a good feel for the deck the rest of the tournament.
When i saw the title i was like, i should send this to my friend Who wants to start playing yugioh again(stopped during the OG/DM era). Listening to a lot of the in jokes etc. LoL... I play a custom red eyes fusion deck iv been building since i got my first joey starter deck when i was 5 years old im 28 now and still playing the same deck its never let me down and i have all the combos on point and its still as fun as when i started i only use my red eyes deck i have other decks but the red eyes deck is my favorite

I used to play when the game was fairly young and came back this year to an entire different game and it has been overwhelming to learn but I’m getting use to it but to start off I picked a blue eyes deck , easy to play in my opinion, not a lot of text on the cards and I’ll move on from there ..

hey guys, your videos have been a great help with to me for building my first decks in 2019, which are salamangreat and cyberdragons. I really like cyber dragons as their effects are not to crazy to memorise and can do massive damage. Salamangreat is good but the variety of effect makes it for me. I want to built a control deck to understand how they work and maybe play at locals. I know altergeist is a popular one but do you have other suggestions?
It's a little bad irl to be sure. I've met Mr bash your card sleeves, Mr bash your game mat, shuffle style. Mr "there's a special place in hell for people who run that deck". Mr we can't duel until you tell me what deck you're using. I've dueled people who had douchey hype men commentating on every play. People with bad hygeine. It's nowhere near as bad as duel links global chat but it can be tough to get consistent sportsmanship in the tcg. Some people have a must win mentality and will resort to cheating. It can limit you to not wanting to play outside your own circle of friends and family.
Feels bad to hear it man. Now I realise how lucky I am to be on a locals where people are rather chill. They all hate frogs for some reason, but they won't bash you for using it.
1= There are A Lot Of Rarities and Figuring them could be a Challenge 2= No Clue what to play or how to Build a Certain Deck? There are Websites and UA-cam Channels for that. 3= Be Up To Date with The Banned, Limited, And Forbidden Lists on Not Only what you can Use But Also When they Come Out. And in addition stay Up to Date with the Torment Rules just in case they change, if you are planing of Competing in those.
Yugioh is complicated, but its a learning experience, and the best way to learn is by playing and theory crafting. Also we got our senpais Like Team APS and Cimooo to teach us things :D
Shadolls weren’t really expensive until I needed to complete my set on the fusion cards and extra deck and when I switched to the performage build of it. Other than that one of the cheapest decks I built ever
I really enjoy your videos played video games and watched the anime as a kid then rewatched it as a teenager planning to get back into it more seriously now but it is expensive and confusing I still dont understand xyz or pendulum and I've never had a duel I also dont own a single card but that will be changing within a couple of week
It wont take long for me to understand when I actually try being autistic I will absorb everything that's not what I find confusing it's the array of strategies that I've heard mentioned and needing to learn about all of that to understand the most effective way to play what I like
The game is more budget now than ever. With reprints being often enough, mega tins, Duel power and now duel devastator you can be very competitive on a budget. On the topic of strange complicated rules, I feel pretty much any game with a meta is like that, smash bros is a great example.
How to get a community together to play who agree to play non meta when you’re in an area with very few people who play and even fewer who don’t play meta?
If everyone plays casual decks and the "Dino-Rabbit kid" shows up just make a deal so everyone surrender the duel instantly, the guy will get mad no one wants to play him and will either play something else or go home cry himself to sleep with no friends
About number 1, I am from England & there were stalls in the market near to where I live that sold decks for £4. At the comic book shop where I buy my YGO cards from now, common cards cost 10p and other cards are a bit more expensive. Apparently there are other cards that cost like over £100. I am building a basic Dragon deck + buying from the common cards boxes
Been trying to get back into yugioh what are pendulum and link monsters. Do I need to incorporate them or am I good to continue to run a fusion and xyz deck
1. You don't get to play because I use a ton of hand traps and effects to negate just about everything you do and then swarm the field with extra deck monsters to wipe you out while you're defenseless. Doesn't that sound like fun? 😶
Can someone who has played other tcgs explain why I should play yugioh? I'm looking for a game that's fun but that also has skill expression. How does it compare to games like magic, shwartz, card fight vanguard etc.

One thing I wish I knew before I started playing was to not make a trade where someone offers me 1 good card 1 okay card and 3 terrible cards for a card that is the best in that school I f**ked up

These are the two rulings that trigger me alot!!!... 1st Ruling Loss of timing example: Toadally Awesome and Dupe Frog are on the field, Infernoids activate Harmadik effect to destroy Toadally Awesome, Chain Link 1, Toadally Awesome destroys Dupe Frog to negate Harmadik, Chain Link 2, Sjette Tributes Harmadik to banish a Ronintoadin from ur graveyard, Chain Lino 3... All that shit goes off, and Dupe Frog does not, even tho it was successfully sent to the graveyard, it missed timing. 2nd Ruling Lair Of Darkness and Sjette are on the field, opponent synchro summons Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, opponent uses Sjette's effect, Lair Of Darkness allows Sjette to tribute Crystal Wing in order to banish a Destiny Hero Malicious from graveyard... Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is then tributed off to the graveyard. U cannot negate this, nor can you chain to it if u have another monster out that has a quick effect, because it's cost... U cannot chain in response to a cost and on top of that costs always have priority, so even if u have a monster with a quick effect, Sjette can tribute ur monster before it can even activate it's effect, nothing u can do about it.
Yata Garasu could be put to unlimited. I don't think Yata would be as powerful in today's game, especially with Ash Blossom and all of the other hand traps that could shut him down.
Idk if I should play a chain burn deck to be really competitive please give me advice on this build go to ygo top decks and my deck is shown of Canada tournament

I liked playing a weak deck like "magnet warriors" and making a good deck like "kozmos" really work for that win a few years back.

your videos have been a great help with to me for building my first decks in 2019, which are salamangreat and cyberdragons.
I really like cyber dragons as their effects are not to crazy to memorise and can do massive damage. Salamangreat is good but
the variety of effect makes it for me.
I want to built a control deck to understand how they work and maybe play at locals. I know altergeist is a popular one but do you have other suggestions?
It's a little bad irl to be sure. I've met Mr bash your card sleeves, Mr bash your game mat, shuffle style. Mr "there's a special place in hell for people who run that deck". Mr we can't duel until you tell me what deck you're using. I've dueled people who had douchey hype men commentating on every play. People with bad hygeine. It's nowhere near as bad as duel links global chat but it can be tough to get consistent sportsmanship in the tcg. Some people have a must win mentality and will resort to cheating. It can limit you to not wanting to play outside your own circle of friends and family.
Feels bad to hear it man. Now I realise how lucky I am to be on a locals where people are rather chill. They all hate frogs for some reason, but they won't bash you for using it.

1= There are A Lot Of Rarities and Figuring them could be a Challenge
2= No Clue what to play or how to Build a Certain Deck? There are Websites and UA-cam Channels for that.
3= Be Up To Date with The Banned, Limited, And Forbidden Lists on Not Only what you can Use But Also When they Come Out. And in addition stay Up to Date with the Torment Rules just in case they change, if you are planing of Competing in those.
Yugioh is complicated, but its a learning experience, and the best way to learn is by playing and theory crafting. Also we got our senpais Like Team APS and Cimooo to teach us things :D

Shadolls weren’t really expensive until I needed to complete my set on the fusion cards and extra deck and when I switched to the performage build of it. Other than that one of the cheapest decks I built ever
You can still win on an 8 dollar structure deck.

2 good decks to start with are the Rise of the Spellcaster and Soulburner structure decks
Cubics, dirt cheap and can OTK. They just brick more often than other decks. Still very fun.

I really enjoy your videos played video games and watched the anime as a kid then rewatched it as a teenager planning to get back into it more seriously now but it is expensive and confusing I still dont understand xyz or pendulum and I've never had a duel I also dont own a single card but that will be changing within a couple of week
It wont take long for me to understand when I actually try being autistic I will absorb everything that's not what I find confusing it's the array of strategies that I've heard mentioned and needing to learn about all of that to understand the most effective way to play what I like
The game is more budget now than ever. With reprints being often enough, mega tins, Duel power and now duel devastator you can be very competitive on a budget.
On the topic of strange complicated rules, I feel pretty much any game with a meta is like that, smash bros is a great example.

If everyone plays casual decks and the "Dino-Rabbit kid" shows up just make a deal so everyone surrender the duel instantly, the guy will get mad no one wants to play him and will either play something else or go home cry himself to sleep with no friends

About number 1, I am from England & there were stalls in the market near to where I live that sold decks for £4. At the comic book shop where I buy my YGO cards from now, common cards cost 10p and other cards are a bit more expensive. Apparently there are other cards that cost like over £100. I am building a basic Dragon deck + buying from the common cards boxes

1. You don't get to play because I use a ton of hand traps and effects to negate just about everything you do and then swarm the field with extra deck monsters to wipe you out while you're defenseless.

Can someone who has played other tcgs explain why I should play yugioh? I'm looking for a game that's fun but that also has skill expression. How does it compare to games like magic, shwartz, card fight vanguard etc.
I haven't played much yugioh lately. I've been playing MTG because at least I don't have friends that only build competitive decks. Im so sick of playing Danger! Orcust every single time I want to duel.
One thing I wish I knew before I started playing was to not make a trade where someone offers me 1 good card 1 okay card and 3 terrible cards for a card that is the best in that school

Yugioh complications... These are the two rulings that trigger me alot!!!...
1st Ruling
Loss of timing example: Toadally Awesome and Dupe Frog are on the field, Infernoids activate Harmadik effect to destroy Toadally Awesome, Chain Link 1, Toadally Awesome destroys Dupe Frog to negate Harmadik, Chain Link 2, Sjette Tributes Harmadik to banish a Ronintoadin from ur graveyard, Chain Lino 3... All that shit goes off, and Dupe Frog does not, even tho it was successfully sent to the graveyard, it missed timing.
2nd Ruling
Lair Of Darkness and Sjette are on the field, opponent synchro summons Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, opponent uses Sjette's effect, Lair Of Darkness allows Sjette to tribute Crystal Wing in order to banish a Destiny Hero Malicious from graveyard... Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon is then tributed off to the graveyard. U cannot negate this, nor can you chain to it if u have another monster out that has a quick effect, because it's cost... U cannot chain in response to a cost and on top of that costs always have priority, so even if u have a monster with a quick effect, Sjette can tribute ur monster before it can even activate it's effect, nothing u can do about it.

Yata Garasu could be put to unlimited. I don't think Yata would be as powerful in today's game, especially with Ash Blossom and all of the other hand traps that could shut him down.

There are zombies, which are actually pretty good. You can make a nice deck by buying 3 of the zombie structure decks
