    For the tip2: I recently played against true Draco deck, and my opponent drew a card (had no cards before in his hand) and activated Card of Demise, which let him draw 3 more cards that led to breaking my board, putting up his own monsters for OTK, and overall his turn lasted for at least 6 minutes, and when he said GG, I said, I take no damage this turn. Because you activated Card of Demise, remember bro?

    You know what. I want to add something. Alright guys this is important.ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND THAT ALWAYS LOOK TO YOUR OPPONENTS DECK! Why? sometimes they do EMERGENCY DRAW IF YOU'RE NOT LOOKING! SPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE ABOUT TO LOSE.
    We all know that Pot of Greed is a banned card but some players have passive skills that they have emergency draw as in they like activating their Pot of greed in their mind. Don't Just Play also be observant.
    I know some player already experienced this kind of Pot of Greed(Players)

    • @alexandermckay9521
      @alexandermckay9521 4 роки тому +1

      TalaIsDarker
      Because they’re too broken. Drawing cards is the best effect in Yugioh and a card like Pot of Greed that lets you go plus two in card advantage at no cost is ridiculously good, especially in today’s meta. Also there is no set rotation in Yugioh so a card that may have sucked twelve years ago may become broken when paired with a newly released card so they have the strictly monitor the game for that reason. They also want to encourage variety so if a card gets played way too much at tournaments they’ll limit or ban them as well. Nobody wants to see the same thing over and over again every year.

    • @TalaIsDarker

      That happens a lot unfortunately. Performer Pals and Dragon Rulers are like the best decks to ever be made and they had to ban cards from both of those to keep it from being the only thing at events. It seems unfair, sure but I also don’t feel too bad about it. Trust me, it’s really annoying when you go to a local store to play and everyone is playing the same boring deck that they copied off of the internet and put no thought into themselves.

    Reading your cards is DEFINITELY the most important thing. I played Magic growing up, which is a much less out of control game, but even then you can easily overlook something. For years my best friend played a deck focused on flanking: "after a creature attacks, the blocking creature gets -1/-1 until the end of the turn". Somehow we both read that as "when attacking AND blocking", as in whenever I would attack him my creature would lose power and defense....
    We played like that for literally years. Imagine the amount of games I've lost that I probably should have won.

    Problem with the "Check your prices" is that a lot people that i've seen start to pout the moment you start to look at Ebay or cardmarket. They usual say things "Do you not trust me?" or "Okay, no trade. I hate ebay/cardmarket". Had that a lot in regionals when I went to check prices for trades.
    Each time I go to an event now I just grab my binder and list down every single price in it and put a note in the binder slot showing the price considering how much people seem to hate you checking prices.

    Only went to one regional, but first game, there’s people dueling to my right. Kid A goes to kid B “oh that’s an awesome Pot of Avarice.” Both players have generic white sleeves.
    They play their set and finish before mine. Kid A packs up and leaves. Kid B is packing up and is like “where’s my Pot of Avarice?!” Judge comes over and ends up watching my set so he can search our stuff for the missing card.
    Might be decent to have somewhat unique sleeves.

    One mistake I found in most of my friends decks were there overpowered monsters. They would always used decks similar to kaiba or Jack atlas. I remember one time when one of my friends used an effect trap card that destroys all six star monsters in your main deck. Wasnt really effective as I always built my deck similar to yusei fudo's. So I would beat them with nothing but level 4 star or below monsters, and spell and trap cards. Those were the good times
