The Tonight Show December 14, 1976

What seems like a typical pre-Christmas episode of the Tonight Show quickly goes off the rails. We've all seen the clip of Johnny cutting into CPO Sharkey to confront Don Rickles, but this is the original airing - not using the CPO Sharky cameras. John Davidson sings two songs and promotes his Christmas special (shot during a heat wave) and then Richard Pryor comes out and, well, you'll see. Also on the program are Darleen Carr and Dr. Michael Fox.
