Excellent sir... I have been reciting this poem. I was following the Osho, jiddu krishnamurti, Ramana maharishi and all of their teaching had made into simple song by Adi Sankaracharya in 8th century itself. That is the beauty of this song. It defines what is not the enlightenment.

Not an expert of Sanskrit, but I would like to point out that shree Sadhguru has on multiple occasions cleared that 'ahankara' does not mean 'ego' , it rather means the part of intellect that is unsullied by memory i.e. pure intellect.

I love to chant and I try to pronounce everything correctly, but... even now... you do it sooooo good really. One of my problems is R. R as in Ghraana netre, or prana ... One small feedback, I think, Manas is Mind and Chitta is Memory. This doesn't change overall meaning of sloka. But ruling out Mind is important
Sloka one talks of false identification f the self with faculties of the mind and the sense organs. Four kinds of mental faculties- Manas(memory), buddhi(intellect), chitta(intelligence) and ahankara(ego)
Sense organs in head; dissociating identity with listening seeing hearing taste
Dissociation
Skin and water not mentioned deliberately--implicitt meaning. When identification with self are eliminated so is with water and touch
Sets true identity of self as boundless and true form of shiva
