Dr. Ekberg I agree. Eating right is important! I'm trying to learn what my body needs an improve what is eaten! Thank you for all you do! My problem, if it's a problem is I prefer not to eat! When I do eat I want something that helps the body. I don't eat fast food from restaurants. I eat what I can call fast food but it's because it's made fast! I think I'm going to try to use my olive oil. Dr Gundry recommends it and he's a heart doctor! 😊 Love you doctor! Pray that all is well with you and yours! 🙏🏻🤗
Dr Ekberg, must I buy the olive oil in glass bottles or may it be in plastic bottles? Must it be organic? Thank you very much, I really hope you answer this.
One of the MOST IMPORTANT & TOTALLY TRUTHFUL takes on the problems that manifest themselves under the corporofascist model where everything is about profit & nothing is about a CURE. legal drug dealers is all Big Pharma are... and when we look at health what we really need to understand is that you need a NUTRITION HEALTH & FITNESS WAY OF LIFE... something that brings your body into metabolic balance & keeps it there while keeping you healthy fit enjoying eating & HAPPY.... yet it is exactly that approach which is censored & demonized by the lamestream media. Thanks Dr Ekberg... I appreciate all the valuable info you provide & since you don't take money orders maybe I can get down to Georgia & buy the electrolytes you created in person... my plan sometime in the next few months is to get some EDTA Chelation Therapy & take that on an empty stomach when I wake in the morning, not eat until a min of 4 hrs later & then in the evening when I would take my reg OMAD take electrolytes & Amino Acids with my meal if I haven't eaten by then. After the EDTA runs out I then intend on a prolonged FAST after a few weeks of super clean refeed eating post the EDTA treatments... then its back to my reg OMAD. So in order to make that happens I have to get some of your Euvexia euLyte for sure- if anyone can be trusted viz SUPPLEMENTS that are what they say they are & nothing else- it's Dr. Ekberg! Appreciate you!
Sir, in the past couple of decades I have gotten into olive oil.. I would really like to know where you got olive oil at "under $20 for 2 L". It doesn't exist in the world I live in. You've got to realize that most "olive oil" is junk, and you need to be VERY wary of it. Alot of it is not even pure olive oil. A lot of it is so old it is crap I am not trying to push a particular brand, but do this. Get a bottle of California Olive Ranch 100 percent. Put some in your mouth, roll it around. It will be a pleasure. It will taste like a new mowen lawn smells Do the same thing with that plastic bottle from the supermarket. You will be embarrassed. You will want to spit it out. It is garbage. Italian olive oil companies are fraudsters, much of the time it isn't even pure olive oil. It is sold by mafias I can see WHY Americans don't eat olive oil Just bought 2L for $42. I would value knowing how I can do better , as I haven't seen that Btw, I really do value your vids
Prior to 2021 I was eating, oats, wholemeal bread made with organic wheat which I ground in a wondermill . In 2022 I had a stroke I was 9 1/2 stone walking twice a day. I had been seeing Dr Bergs videos, then came across Sten's videos explaining that for someone with hereditary typ2 diabetes that I should be on a low to zero carb diet with fasting. At 79 I have recovered from the stroke by exercise and diet, I am relearning guitar from scratch since Feb 23 my brain works better, I can play several classical pieces, and just this week started HIit exercise routine for over 60's these guys have given me my life back to some years past I feel great, I use a bottle of extra virgin olive oil a week, a small amount of rye bread with my boiled eggs for breakfast 3 or 4 soft boiled, lots of west country butter, still walking my dog twice a day living the dream, people say I'm lucky, no I made choices, no sugar, chocolate, puddings, cakes, potatoes, starchy foods of any kind, I sleep like a baby get up early to take my walk and do the hiit exercises, then shower and breakfast, supper at 5 only two meals a day no snacks, it is hard but the alternative is another stroke and death. So many of my old army comrades, work colleagues, and family members are gone, but due to not smoking, drinking alcohol, eating sugar in it's many guises I'm lucky to be here, no I study what these guys put on line and have made sacrifices over the last 50 odd years that enabled me to nurse and care for my late wife until she died in 2018 after suffering a poor heart for many years due to genitics and early lack of diagnosis. Believe these men they speak pearls of wisdom, having good health late in life is not luck, it's hard work and sacrifices.
I'm sorry about your wife, and I'm glad you recovered and are in good health, but isn't life just luck or lack there of? There are healthy people that exercise and do everything right but then drop dead right, so there are no guarantees, I do agree though that doing some of these things sometimes is good and may reduce the risk
I agree being older and healthy is not luck, it's a choice. I do sometimes wish I could eat or drink the things I used to but my choice is to be drug free at 69. And I wear glasses only to drive. EVA is part of my daily routine. In the UK I get Kalamata EVA the best in the world for £4 at Aldi, when they haven't got this I get Italian Puglia. Crop date and number on a dark glass bottle so the real deal.
I am sorry to hear of your wife’s death…. How proud she would undoubtedly be of you today. You are the living evidence of the wisdom of this way of life. My husband and I started on this path six months ago and have lost a total of about 55 pounds. And we will never go back to the high carb life. All the best to you!
Everyone else does a good job of motivating, however this is the only channel I found that can explains the biological processes. I need to understand WHY things are working in order to do something, and that's what your videos do best. Down 120 lbs in 6 months through ketovore and fasting.
It's surprising how many people don't want to know WHY about things, especially ill health. They just want a solution, most often a pill so they don't have to change their lifestyle. (Ozempic for example) I think this is why most Dr's get jaded when patients don't listen to advice so just issue the med prescriptions.
Exactly! And kudos on the progress. I'm far from keto, but I still lost 25kg (120->95) in 9 months. Reduced carbs, replaced 60-80% of fats for healthy ones, added MCT, avocado and blueberries, and started intermittent fasting and resistance training. All thanks to dr. Ekberg and myself.
Same. Which is why I wish he would do more videos about carnivore, as that's how I've been eating for the last two years. He's done one or two but there are many other things I would like explained.

I don't comment often, but I must say that out of the many content providers available I find your channel the most interesting, gimmick free, honest as far as I can tell and brings the perspective of why things are important to do to light. Additionally your level of detail in the biological explanations are spot on, at least for me, and also consistent across all your videos and always reaffirming the same key messages. Thank you
Been subscribing to this channel for about 2 years now. Tried first 72 hour fast this week and had intense headaches half way through. I was taking your Mineral supplement. Walking 90 min/day -lots of sweating and drinking LOTS of water. Last night had teaspoon of Organic peanut butter for the last night and it helped with headache. Now down 60 lbs and no longer take Metformin at 80 years old. Fasting glucose was 72.Thank you so very much.
Thank you Dr. Ekberg, As always your videos are so informative, interesting and inspiring. I have been consuming 4 tablespoons of EVO cold pressed for over 3 years now daily on a toss salad for lunch since I went Keto plus 12 olives. Intermittent fasting and only 2 healthy low carb meals a day have changed my life forever. At 65 years old I take no meds and my health is optimal. In part thanks to you and your videos. Thank you again for all you do.
Anti-Inflammatory? All I know is that when I eat olive oil my joints move smoothly and quietly. I feel like “The Tin Man” needing my “oil can”! Another thing I noticed is that my skin feels soft and smooth everywhere on my body. I also just found out that I have zero heart disease! No hardening or thickening or clogging of the arteries. I’m 67 yrs old! I truly believe the olive oil is keeping me healthy!
Same, & olives generally..ive also found turmeric really does help with painful inflammation of my busted up, 56 year old carpenters shoulders and back..
A good friend of mine passed away just a few days ago from a heart attack and he was only 30. Diet is everything, having spent the last 20 yrs eating healthy and using only extra virgin olive oil for my cooking, people are astounded by my youthful looks and muscular physique. Please take care of your heart, it's the most important muscle of them all.
You are do easy to understand and knowledgeable, I was pre-diabetic and followed your videos, and lost 40 pds and am not pre-diabetic now. Eating so healthy I feel great 👍.
If everyone listened to you, there would be much less health complications in the majority of human beings on the planet. Keep up the good work. I am 56 yrs old and never been in better shape or felt as good since i started taking your advice. Last time i felt this good i was 16. Long may it continue and thank you for all the effort that you put into your explanations and videos for our benefit. Very grateful to you. All the best.
57 here and also feeling best ever. Lost just from 83kg to 64kg. Why not if you know the tool and I have never had much of muscle anyways? I was just working on 100 days water fasting but that is just a form of keto diet where body eats itself. Remember take all the electrolytes in case you will try it. Sea salt is practically free but magnesium and calsium and potassium must be separately adjusted. Do not buy the electrolyte supplements containing sea salt. It highly surprising how efficent human body is morphing things to other things. At the second half of that fasting tenure I got my brains back too and was able to do computer programming. What happens next? Olive oil applications of course. I would love to consume mayo but it is so packed with energy it should be calculated very carefully. I once made the mistake to turn into mayo without recognizing how much there is energy. So maybe better idea is learn to compile some olive oil/vinegar sauces on some green leaves around boiled eggs.
After Covid-19, few weeks later I had an AFIB attack, it was horrific, and as my first time, I started Mediterranean diet and few months later, I have lost some weight and more importantly my blood work was much better. Oddly enough, my bowel movements are often, no smell, and without force. I give credit the increase of olive oil on my diet. Thank you Dr. Eckberg for all your very informative videos.
Hello Dr. Ekberg, I would like to thank you for all the videos you post on UA-cam. I have watched almost all of them and became a big fan! I came across them a couple of months ago when I was searching for natural remedy for a heartburn. I am 59 years old and had been taking Esomeprazole Magnesium everyday for the past 20 years! I stopped taking it since I watched your video. I have started taking apple cider vinegar before every meal since then. My wife and I have eliminated starchy food like rice, bread, anything with added sugar and fast food from our diet for the last two months. It was very difficult the first couple of weeks. I can’t believe my heartburn is completely gone! We replaced the starch food with cabbage, lettuce and cauliflower mostly and only use EVOO now. I can’t believe how much better we feel and have a clear mind. My wife doesn’t even have any migraine headage anymore! I am 5’10” and was 178 lbs. I am 157 lbs. now after two months! Thanks to you Dr.! My wife and I really appreciate it and wanted to let you know, you made a big difference in our life!
I am now close to 93, used over 2 litres per month olive oil for the last 12 years with most of my dishes, went from 95kgs to 61 kgs over this time, and still have no problem walking 2 kim’s in 30 minutes, mediterranean diet with fish and eggs, no dairy, no added salt or sugar. never been strong, or sportive, could have done worst.
This is what you want to tell us every video that we have to change our life style, so true! You’re inspiring me every time and whenever I just loose my goal I come back to your videos and get motivated and freshen myself. I’ve started my new lifestyle (low carb diet) since 6 months ago, from 78 kg, now I am 68kg and I feel a lot healthier than before 🙏❤️ Thank you 😊
Thankyou Dr. Ekberg. I am in a new position where I may have to talk to my doctor about lowering my blood pressure meds. In the past year I gave up foods made from white flour. My weight dropped more than 10 pounds with no effort on my part. I gave up processed foods high in sugar. I made no change to my daily fruit consumption. Corn and soy oil are 50+ Omega 6 and I don't consume them. I took my my olive oil consumption up to 2 ounces a day or about 1 pint per week. My 7 day moving average blood pressure this morning is 106 over 67.
Your talk about the 'take this to fix that' mindset is so on point! There is seldom one single fix for anything, much less for every individual and every problem, yet we're being sold that ideology - usually for someone's profit, not to actually help us.
These are the only longer UA-cam health videos I enjoy watching all the way through. Very accurate information, and I like how it's always looked at through the bigger picture! Another great video!!!
I'm so glad I looked at this video! I actually go through 3 to 5 16 fluid ounces of "organic" extra virgin olive oil per week. I either purchase it from Whole Foods or Trader Joes. I slather it on my wild rice (which I eat 3 to 5 times per week), on my organic steamed vegetables, and on my raw salads. I also slather generous amounts of it on baked wild caught salmon, wild caught shrimp and organic free range rotisserie chicken! And I absolutely love it; can't get enough of it!
Great information! On side note, we as consumers have been duped into believing that the "low-fat" or "non-fat" designation on grocery products is a better food to eat...it ain't.
The thing I appreciate about the lists folks put out is it becomes my reminder in between ‘episodes…’I can’t have you replaying all day so this helps! Thanks so much for thoughtful help!❤
I use olive oil pretty much exclusively, maybe sometimes coconut oil. I only use 4-5 litres a year. However I just realized that I consume ungodly amounts of mayonnaise, made from sunflower oil! So yeah next step is making my own mayo using olive oil!
Hello, I've been making my own too. I tried a couple of recipes on Google that said I could use the whole egg, but that didn't work. I only use the yoke........but you probably knew that already😊
Pretty much anything that is bought from stores and has been through some kind of processing will have so called vegetable oils listed as ingredient. Horrendous
@@patricklevesque5790 if you have a hand blender, it’s dead easy to make mayonnaise at home with olive oil and an egg. Delicious. I was afraid to do it, but needn’t be
I buy Sardines in extra virgin olive oil. I then drain all the oil out and add 1/4 of my own organic extra virgin olive oil. I've now added some thinly sliced red onion. I mainly eat them (one can) for breakfast with an avocado.
@gallicricket I drain the oil because it's not fresh. I have no idea how long it's been in the can. By adding my fresh organic olive oil then I know. 😀
I cut out that kind of thinking long time a go. I will go to doctor's office for blood and other tests to know my health status.I have gut issues which lasted more years. The side effects of more anti acids and other drugs are worsen it even more. So, i am treating myself by home made food. I am still introuble to tolerate most vegies but i am trying my best to heal my gut but it won't be easy. Anyways, sticking on healthy food and healthy habit is life saver now days.Thank you much more,
You are absolutely correct to criticize those who just want a quick list without fully understanding the why behind it. Every single person that's approached me about my healthy lifestyle only want quick answers. They won't even spend more than 1minute to learn anything. Needless to say they've all failed in losing weight and getting healthy.
Back when I was addicted to sugar I was of the mindset that only things that tasted bad were good for your health. Now I love the taste of extra virgin olive oil, so much that the amount increases more and more that I add to my salad.
@@cincin4515 I thought the same thing about extra virgin olive oil until I realized the stuff I was using was fake. Even though the bottle said it was genuine stuff the taste was entirely different when I got the real stuff in a glass bottle imported directly from an olive ranch in Italy.
Thank you for producing another valuable video Dr. Ekberg. Your advice has changed my life. I hope UA-cam doesn't interfere with your teachings by holding back your thoughts. I've read that they will if you don't follow what the "experts" want you to hear. It would be such a shame.
I have searched through your videos several times for your take on dry (black) beans. This is the first one I have found. Perhaps you would delve deeper into health benefits of dry beans and their downside. Thank you for the invaluable content! ❤🎉
I appreciate Dr. Sten stating eating farmed fish isn't bad in the big picture---okay to eat, just get wild caught as much as you can. For a long time, I get frustrated, hearing all the good foods I like are bad (if not wild caught/organic etc) and have to pay outrageous prices on every food. So it takes a lot of pressure off to hear it's okay to eat farmed, just get wild caught as much as possible.
I think that's the case with most healthy eating: do your best. If you can find/afford organic grass-fed steak, great ; if you can only find spam that will still be better for your health than a bunch of bread and potatoes.
@@jackiedelvalle - Right. It's a big relief to hear. To put into perspective. I was at Whole Foods, and bought a 32 oz package of 5 individually wrapped 6 to 7 oz wild caught salmon fillets. The package was $33.00 and that was the cheapest one. That's over a dollar and ounce. Insane. Eggs are another I sweated about. I eventually said screw it. $1.20 dz compared to 6 or 7 dollars a dz? Nope. Not gonna even worry about it anymore.
I used to agonize because I couldn't do it all....finally came to the conclusion of..." do what you can where you are with what you have" any step in the right direction is better than not moving. Perfectionism is the death of progress😊
Most people simply cannot afford the outrageous prices of these fancy organic, cage free, grain free chickens, cows, fish, eggs… Etc. They’re simply not affordable. And one wonders: does it really matter, after all?
An Olympic champion strong and healthy, with a good loving heart.. Always helping and saving those in danger of dying. Always wearing dark blue. You know who I thought of now. Superman. Maybe you don't have super powers Dr Sten but you sure are our Superhero. Those stories of Superman were never true anyway. So maybe we know who he really is now. A very human one who can run very fast. With a brain like nothing else and a heart of gold. Maybe you should get your red badge printed on there... ❤
Hello doc, you have changed me in a way that i have started leading my lufe in a better way...all i have understood one has to be slow and steady to achive the goal.. if at all i feel like snacking i rend to either deley the craving or have some low GI fruit like guava as berries are bit expensive in india. Started baking my own keto bread and feeling good like never before. Thank you in full faith Regards, Antara
Great recommendations. Thank you for refreshing our minds. Since I have started to watch your videos, I have been profiting very positively physically and mentally. Thank you Dr. Ekberg
Yes, thank you... I'm so glad you spoke about people who write the lists down in a video so that people just see the list and have no context or understanding of what the things on the list even mean to us.
@@angelathompsonmack3583 The difference between a Herb and a Spice can send some culinary masters into a heated debate. But in general, a Herb (pronounced with a hard H, as in the name Herbert) is the Leafy part of a plant, and a Spice is derived from the seed. There are some spices which are in the gray area that are neither, such as Cinnamon, which comes from Bark. However, when it comes to Garlic, the clove is what reproduces the plant, hence it is the seed, making Garlic a Spice. Garlic Scapes are a different story, since they are part of the leaf system leading up to the flower. Scapes are great and I use them in cooking quite often; excellent in soups or sautéed in butter like a garlicy tender green bean. So the answer is Garlic is both a Spice and a Herb, depending which part is used.
I live in Thailand. Here you only get overpriced, poor quality olive oil. so I only use coconut oil, butter and lard. Nuts are priceless...I cook every day and eat some greens and farmer tomatoes. Sauerkraut as a side dish in the evening
I guessed Olive Oil as the #1 food, and I'm glad I got it right. I consume around 3 to 4 tbsp. per day and I feel great. Thank you Dr. Ekberg for the knowledge you share.
I did the olive oil thing and suddenly I woke up with bruises all over my legs and arms !! I did some research and found out that olive oil causes brittle veins !! I've cut out olive oil for awhile now and no longer have bruises. I didn't consume that much olive oil either. I just cooked with it and put it on mashed potatoes and codfish. I did this for a year. And then the bruises and varicose veins appeared one morning !!😮 Now, i have olive oil once or twice a week and I have no more bruising.
Wow! You know just a thought though….I researched and found out that 80% of Olive oil sold in stores is actually cut with crap processed vegetable oils. It’s horrible! And they don’t legally have to list that either. So I stopped using olive oil altogether-don’t trust it and can’t afford the dark glass bottled legit ones from Italy. I use MCT for my homemade dressings, and coconut, ghee or animal fat when cooking. Sorry you had that issue but glad you figured out what was causing it. We have to all be so vigilant about everything we buy at the stores! :-/
Excellent video! My wife and I consume about 16L of extra virgin olive oil per year combined (bottled in Italy). When looking at the budget for great healthy food, you can either spend it on quality food or it will end up in the doctor visit category.
#1 Best food is (drum roll): oops sorry - having Number 1 must be eaten with lots of other good number 1 to 20 foods (at least 20? for a diverse gut micro biome.) - only works if we avoid bad foods, we exercise, sleep as well as eat other good food and be emotionally happy, etc. “Number one” food can not reverse the effects of other bad food unless we stop consuming bad food in the first place.
@@drekberg thank you for liking and commenting. I feel so privileged. You convey excellent information in a world that is just click bait, short of attention and wanting an instant answer whether it is true or false.
I appreciate this and your other more recent videos bringing out some of the more subtle points of the benefits of certain foods and dietary habits. You are helping to raise the food IQ of your listeners.
I live in Greece and go through around 52 litres of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil in a year and around 50 kilos of olives in a year and thats just for me personally, I also use something called Green olive oil which is olive oil pressed from the unripened green olive as opposed to the black olive, and is even more potent in phytonutrients.
I'm an American living in California and I go through a liter of cold pressed olive oil every two weeks on average. I never ever touch soy or anything that has soy in it. and i'm hella poor on food stamps so, it's very doable to be healthy and choose high quality food.
“Good for whom” is right!!! I am allergic to seafood, nightshades fruit/vegetables among so many other “healthy” foods. I eat the same whole organic foods every day since my healthy foods are limited.
Great video. With extra virgin olive oil be careful which type you buy as there is lots of fake olive oil out there. Check the labels to find out where it was produced, where it was packaged, how it was made and what year/month it was made. The genuine stuff is usually more expensive to buy.
Thank you @pradipray1251. I appreciate your feedback. I have done many videos on all those topics. Make sure you check out my video library. There are over 500 videos organized by topic and play list. 😄 ua-cam.com/channels/Ie2pR6PE0dae9BunJ38F7w.html
Having been bought up only on evo oil all my life,I am still surprised to hear that most people don't use it. We even have our own olive grove in my parents homeland. But its not enough just to use it if everything else you are eating is not good for you. I am in the 24-30 litre per year consumption per person category. At nearly 60 I am still slim, don't take drugs for anything and eat a mediterranean diet. Once in a blue moon I might indulge in some fish and chips or a pizza but thats about it. An occasional sweet is a treat. But then again I care about how I look and feel.
I am Greek , and since many year i consume STEADILY 1 litre Extra Olive Oil ( raw , not boiled in the foods ) per week !! together with greek cheese , olives and tomatoes and without bread , 6 days a week !! Do the same people and you wiil remember me ...
The trick with olive oil is getting the real 100 percent olive oil, most brands will mix with plant oils. Look for certifications online and only buy those brands and types
I buy about 6 5 litres of organic Olive oil in different spanish oilmills per year for our personal consumption. We are lucky to live right on the spanish border and we make olive oil tasting tours just like some people do wine tasting tours. Just now we are in spain on our anual olive oil buying trip and already baught our first 20 litres, because we also buy it for our neighbours and our adult kids. Our van is loaded with olive oil by the time we get back home.
My brother, the oldest in my family, was a foreign exchange student in high school in the late nineteen sixties with another student from Spain. One of the members of the family he stayed with in Spain drank like an eight ounce or more glass of olive oil each morning and called it something like the fountain of youth or the healthiest drink or something along those lines. Now, they know it is.
Err... I'm thinking he had like a Tablespoon a day, not a glass a day. Not to mention the cost of consuming THAT much would be insane... even in the '60s.
Hi, for one month I have been OMAD, and following a Keto regime, completely as a result of Sten Ekberg’s you tube information. Thank you! For many years I have spent time fasting, but never with this nutritional knowledge. And the no nonsense easy to comprehend delivery is so good! I have a question, what would be a healthy amount of daily calories to consume? I am 60, weigh 151 pounds and have a very physically active lifestyle..
The best olive oil you buy directly from the producer rich in polyfenols and not acidic. Olive oil sold in bottles is mostly a mix of different oils and not so fresh. Olive oil stays edible for the most two years. After that it becoms rancid.
I can't thank you enough for these wonderful, understandable and scientifically based videos. I know a lot of it, but will eventually forget it. Your videos, without pointing fingers, motivate me every time! thank you for that 🙏
Thank you so very much Dr. Ekberg for all your videos! Absolutely priceless information, very difficult to find if it wasn’t for your comprehensive ( yet easy to understand!) explanations! Watching your videos with gratitude and love from Melbourne Australia. ❤️
1.STOP eating ALL processed refined carbs/products. Eat only healthy low carb WHOLE foods that are as organic as possible. 2. Eat in a time restricted zone of no more than 6 hours 3. Exercise as much as you can, even if It's just walking every day. HIIT training if you can do it is best but just plain walking will help 4. Sleep well, at least 7 hours a night. Make sure it's good quality undisturbed sleep 5. Drink plenty good filtered water through out the day 6. Moderate or give up alcohol (yes i know this is a tough one) 7. Reduce as much as possible stress in your life 8. Stop eating process high omega 6 oils like canola vegetable, eat olive oil 9. last but not least get some good sunshine if you can and relax with friends and family
Great information! We have learned so much from your videos. Have you ever talked about avocado oil? I use both olive oil and avocado oil in my cooking. What situation is best for each one of these?

A lot of it is so old it is crap
I am not trying to push a particular brand, but do this. Get a bottle of California Olive Ranch 100 percent. Put some in your mouth, roll it around. It will be a pleasure. It will taste like a new mowen lawn smells
Do the same thing with that plastic bottle from the supermarket. You will be embarrassed. You will want to spit it out. It is garbage. Italian olive oil companies are fraudsters, much of the time it isn't even pure olive oil.
It is sold by mafias
I can see WHY Americans don't eat olive oil
Just bought 2L for $42. I would value knowing how I can do better , as I haven't seen that
Btw, I really do value your vids
Sorry you lost your wife, sir. But glad to hear you are doing well.
Thank you for sharing!!! I'm trying to give up sugar, etc. I will keep your words of wisdom in mind when I want sugar, etc.
Everyone else does a good job of motivating, however this is the only channel I found that can explains the biological processes. I need to understand WHY things are working in order to do something, and that's what your videos do best. Down 120 lbs in 6 months through ketovore and fasting.
👏👏👏👏👏👏💐💐
It's surprising how many people don't want to know WHY about things, especially ill health.
They just want a solution, most often a pill so they don't have to change their lifestyle. (Ozempic for example)
I think this is why most Dr's get jaded when patients don't listen to advice so just issue the med prescriptions.
Hey, congratulations on 120lb loss in 6 months through eating the right things at the right times! Isn't that such a fantastic feeling? That great! 👏🏻

Amazing achievement!
Thank you Dr. Ekberg,
As always your videos are so informative, interesting and inspiring.
Also there was a study that came to the conclusion if you consume EVO regularly possibility of breast cancer is reduced by 30%😊
@@deboraballes9044,sorry , what is EVO?
How did you get your arteries checked..?
Same, & olives generally..ive also found turmeric really does help with painful inflammation of my busted up, 56 year old carpenters shoulders and back..
HOW DID YOU CHECK YOUR ARTERIES SHERRY?!?!
A good friend of mine passed away just a few days ago from a heart attack and he was only 30. Diet is everything, having spent the last 20 yrs eating healthy and using only extra virgin olive oil for my cooking, people are astounded by my youthful looks and muscular physique. Please take care of your heart, it's the most important muscle of them all.
i am 21 and a heart patient about 6 months ago met a heart attack
Yup…safe n effective
You think it was diet that took out a 30 year old of a heart attack? lol wow.
Good morning everyone! Dr Ekberg makes technical stuff so easy to understand and to apply. He keeps me focused on good health and wellness!👍🏽👍🏽
Ancient root alive oil is the best. It will cost over £50 a bottle.
No planet. And the powers that be controlling the masses don't want healthy people, that's earth, and you are here to learn to say no to "them".

So sorry....you took the jab I guess?
After Covid-19, few weeks later I had an AFIB attack, it was horrific, and as my first time, I started Mediterranean diet and few months later, I have lost some weight and more importantly my blood work was much better. Oddly enough, my bowel movements are often, no smell, and without force. I give credit the increase of olive oil on my diet. Thank you Dr. Eckberg for all your very informative videos.
Hello Dr. Ekberg,
I would like to thank you for all the videos you post on UA-cam.
Glad to see you are not being censored yet like Dr Eric Berg.
Dr. Sten, You are the best at explaining complexity and relevance!
I had to go off all BP medication after going on keto.🇦🇺
Doctor Ekberg is a great human being.
The details presented in your videos can be considered as " standards " & ultimate,on the particular subject without any ambiguity. A great service.
Thank you @jaganbe1244 😄

I use olive oil pretty much exclusively, maybe sometimes coconut oil. I only use 4-5 litres a year. However I just realized that I consume ungodly amounts of mayonnaise, made from sunflower oil! So yeah next step is making my own mayo using olive oil!
Hello, I've been making my own too. I tried a couple of recipes on Google that said I could use the whole egg, but that didn't work. I only use the yoke........but you probably knew that already😊

I buy Sardines in extra virgin olive oil. I then drain all the oil out and add 1/4 of my own organic extra virgin olive oil. I've now added some thinly sliced red onion.
I mainly eat them (one can) for breakfast with an avocado.

And are blessed when we realize our heart’s desire…
You are absolutely correct to criticize those who just want a quick list without fully understanding the why behind it. Every single person that's approached me about my healthy lifestyle only want quick answers. They won't even spend more than 1minute to learn anything. Needless to say they've all failed in losing weight and getting healthy.

You are the best; intelligent, honest and straightforward...
Back when I was addicted to sugar I was of the mindset that only things that tasted bad were good for your health. Now I love the taste of extra virgin olive oil, so much that the amount increases more and more that I add to my salad.
I've been trying not to wretch and gag on it for over 50 years. Now I'm down to just pulling nasty faces at it.

Yes…..changed out all my cooking, salad dressing oils to EVOO, avocado, coconut, etc. Sometimes cod liver oil. Thks for your informative videos!!
Even the worst cage eggs and farmed fish and meat are far better than poptarts, pancakes and KFC.

GARLIC is a spice, not a herb.
Spices come from seeds.
Herbs come from leaves 🍃.
GARLIC is a root vegetable!!!
Thank you

And then the bruises and varicose veins appeared one morning !!😮
Now, i have olive oil once or twice a week and I have no more bruising.

Garlic is considered a vegetable although it is being used as an herb.
#1 Best food is (drum roll): oops sorry - having Number 1 must be eaten with lots of other good number 1 to 20 foods (at least 20? for a diverse gut micro biome.)
- only works if we avoid bad foods, we exercise, sleep as well as eat other good food and be emotionally happy, etc. “Number one” food can not reverse the effects of other bad food unless we stop consuming bad food in the first place.

Great video. With extra virgin olive oil be careful which type you buy as there is lots of fake olive oil out there. Check the labels to find out where it was produced, where it was packaged, how it was made and what year/month it was made. The genuine stuff is usually more expensive to buy.
You can take olive leaf extract, which, contains more oleuropein than olive oil.

Thank you doc. Your videos are like Meditation to me. Thanks for changing the way I eat for the best.
I am Greek , and since many year i consume STEADILY 1 litre Extra Olive Oil ( raw , not boiled in the foods ) per week !! together with greek cheese , olives and tomatoes and without bread , 6 days a week !! Do the same people and you wiil remember me ...
how it has changed your health?
You've earned my respect.
The trick with olive oil is getting the real 100 percent olive oil, most brands will mix with plant oils.
Look for certifications online and only buy those brands and types
I would love some recommended brands if anyone is confident in their answer. There is so much corruption in olive and avocado oil products.
@@j4k8d9w2 ~ ditto!!
@jimottinger8221 Colavita, I think most if not all are high quality. I'd get the organic variants at any rate.
Am taking olive oil shot daily. Down on weight and cholesterol numbers down as well. Good stuff!!
I absolutely adore olive oil and I try to have it on as many things as possible, and cook with it as well. 🙂
That's ridiculous. The laxative effects would've had him on the loo all day. Or he was treating his own constipation.
This video summarises everything we’ve learned through Dr E (and others) over the years, totally brilliant and motivating 👏👏
Your videos, without pointing fingers, motivate me every time! thank you for that 🙏
“The body is self healing and we should not have to worry hardly about anything.” Agreed.
2. Eat in a time restricted zone of no more than 6 hours
3. Exercise as much as you can, even if It's just walking every day. HIIT training if you can do it is best but just plain walking will help
4. Sleep well, at least 7 hours a night. Make sure it's good quality undisturbed sleep
5. Drink plenty good filtered water through out the day
6. Moderate or give up alcohol (yes i know this is a tough one)
7. Reduce as much as possible stress in your life
8. Stop eating process high omega 6 oils like canola vegetable, eat olive oil
9. last but not least get some good sunshine if you can and relax with friends and family
👍
Yeah, I have to add some olive oil to my diet, since I consume only about a teaspoon of it per day. This was a good reminder. Thanks!
Excellent! You have such a way of debunking fads. I learn so much. Thank you Dr Ekberg❤
As always great content. Would love timestamps if possible?
Thank you my living angle Dr.ekberg May God Bless you more🙏
Great information! We have learned so much from your videos. Have you ever talked about avocado oil? I use both olive oil and avocado oil in my cooking. What situation is best for each one of these?
Exceptional presentation and much appreciated. This is how you do it!
