    Awesome way to finish off miter cuts...wished the guy that did miters on his curb on my last weeks video I posted would watch you !
    BTW, congrats on your 7000 sub mark ! You're blowing up on YT buddy !

      Thank you sir! and yes, we installed a ceramic 12x24 mitered shower curb before and the curb chipped slightly when standing on it to grout the walls. This trim would have protected that curb and yeah, I love the climbing subs! 👊

    Does the Finec work for regular tile without miter edege? My contractor can’t do miter edge for the fireplace so I’m hoping the Finec can be as invisible as possible for the fireplace edges. The Jolly is too much for me. Thanks

  • @TomNouri
    @TomNouri 4 роки тому +2

    Hi, does it have to be mitered? I don’t have a saw that can do that seems like the tile can just be butted up against and grout any gap.

    I've been watching many of your videos and they've been so helpful! We are doing a whole house reno and our shower is large with a L bench to accommodate my husband (below the knee amputee). Question regarding the Finec trims....our tile is 4x16, 3/8" thickness. The Finec trims don't have this exact size, so is it still ok to use one? If so I'm assuming you pick the next width up? I would love to utilize them on the pony wall as well as the curb. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    • @christataylor1447
      @christataylor1447 5 років тому

      Hi! Just checking in regarding my question. I’m thinking it will be ok to get the 7/16” finec for 3/8 tile, but wanted to get your opinion! Thanks so much!!

    Great video but I would use this only on steps. Miters are made to have only 1 grout joint and almost invisible in m'y book

    If you use a sacrificial piece of wood to put the trim on and cut, you will find that it will cut easier and cleaner.

    • @LandbergTileTV
      @LandbergTileTV  6 років тому

      Interesting, would you lay the trim on the corner of let's say a 2x4?

    • @ronald5728
      @ronald5728 6 років тому +2

      @@LandbergTileTV What I meant was when cutting with the miter saw, put the trim on a piece of, say 3/4 inch wood as a base on the miter saw and then cut. Try it, you will see it works, especially if you're trying to cut a small piece.

    • @LandbergTileTV
      @LandbergTileTV  6 років тому

      @@ronald5728 Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely have to give it a try as sometimes the
      trim flies all over the place when cutting...👊

    • @ronald5728
      @ronald5728 6 років тому

      @@LandbergTileTV That's exactly what the piece of wood will prevent especially if you use it as part of the vertical fence where that gap is.

    • @LandbergTileTV
      @LandbergTileTV  6 років тому

      Lol, I was waiting for someone to say something! The trim was a little bent from being stored for a couple months. The solution to this would be to simply tape up the curb until the mortar cures. What do you think about the Finec? They carry it in like 15 different finishes, brushed nickel, stainless steel, powder coated colors etc...

      Yes, protects the mitered and some people like trim such as this Finec in a stainless steel to match other items in the shower like the stainless steel grate, trim kit, shower head etc. It can tie everything together well 👊

    Trim is very common here, But Whats the Point of a Mitering if you trim it. The Mitered Finish looks far better than a Trim Finish

    • @LandbergTileTV
      @LandbergTileTV  6 років тому +2

      Some clients like the tile trimmed out look, also the Finec protects the miter for shower curbs that are vulnerable to cracking/chipping (this has happened to a ceramic shower curb we installed before)

    Hi I have a related question regarding profiles for tile flooring. When two profiles must be used to cover the distance of the floor, are the profiles cut at 90 degree angles to meet each other, or is it not as simple and they are cut at opposing 45 angles to meet each other? Thank you in advance!!!

    Why wouldn't you just use a Schluter quarter round as opposed to mitering the tiles and then using that?
