Fall Guys Beginner's Guide in 11 Minutes - Tips and Tricks

- Fall Guys is the Battle Royale the world needs right now. It's cute, hilarious, and most importantly extremely fun. Fall Guys might remind you of Takeshi's Castle or Wipeout.
You are dropped into a map with 59 other players and will race through obstacle courses in hopes of being the final fall guy or fall gal remaining. You will compete through several elimination rounds and random encounters, each with their own ways of challenging you.
In this video we will cover all the basics you will need to grab your first Victory. There are already over 20 maps you'll play in Fall Guys. Some come in both team and solo variations, while others are meant for smaller teams so you will only see them as you near the end of a match.
Let's walk through each of them and include tips for great success.
The Whirlygig is a race through spinning windmills, bars, and jump gaps. The first real challenge is getting over what I call the butter sticks.
See Saw can quickly become a hot mess. The further ahead of the pack you are the easier this map is. Generally taking your time to avoid costly mistakes on See Saw is worth it.
Dizzy Heights is loaded with spinning platforms. The easiest way to move through these is to let the spin rotation take you forward.
Door Dash has randomness built into it. You are presented with a series of doors and need to figure out which ones are real and which are fake.
Gate Crash is your quintessential platform gate puzzle. Gates go up and down and your goal is to race to the finish. A simple way to plan your movement here is to aim at a gate that is currently UP, so that as you arrive at it the gate will be lowered.
Tail Tag is a game where a subset of players will start with a tail and the goal is to have a tail when the timer runs out.
Roll Out has you running on top of rotating cylinders with various obstacles. You can get cheeky and grab folks as they transition over to a new roller.
Hoopsie Daisy is a frantic rush. Your goal is to jump through hoops to earn points for your team. I've found it best to pick a quadrant and camp it as running around chasing hoops can sometimes mean you get none.
Egg Scramble spawns a bunch of eggs in the middle of the map. Grab them and carry them to your team's basket and aim to have the most eggs by the end of the timer.
In Block Party you will avoid oncoming blocks. The tough parts of this map can be when you have to jump over the low barriers.
Hoarders has your team attempting to hold on to massive Soccer balls. Once you have a ball, try to push it to the back of your base. The ramps up front will make it easier to defend from thieves.
Slime Climb is a race to the top without touching the slime. You can skip over barriers by jumping or by using bouncy doritos.
Rock'n'roll your team will be pushing a ball from start to finish. Once you reach the end, you can sabotage the enemy teams and prevent their balls from reaching the end point.
Jump Club you will be avoiding two spinning bars that get faster over time. If you have to choose, fear the lower bar more than the upper bar as the lower bar is almost always a knockout.
Fall Ball is seriously tough. You will need coordination to win this one. It's good to have one or two players playing either safety or goalie to prevent runaway balls from scoring on you.
In Jinxed, you want to avoid being infected but if you are you want to infect as many enemy players as possible. At all costs avoid the pit in the middle of the map as players get infected the easiest here.
In Tip Toe you must reach the other side of this sea of tiles. Some are fake and some are real. If you're up front I recommend just jumping out and testing the tiles immediately.
Fruit Chute throws fruit at you as you run up a reverse conveyor belt. You can use the side pockets to deflect oncoming fruit or try to throw other players into them.
Hex-a-gone has disappearing hexagon tiles. You can either go on the offensive and try to make giant gaps in the lower levels early. Or buy time by jumping from tile to tile slowly.
Lastly Fall Mountain is a common ending map. Fly through the level and climb the last platform, then jump and grab the crown to win.

Tip for see saw: If you dive right before hitting the see saws you won’t tumble off

Serious tip for Beginners: Don't actively expect to win. Just play. If you get eliminated, shrug it off. If you're getting tilited, turn off the game and let yourself detilt. You just need to accept the fact that you're going to lose way more games than you win, so go in expecting to lose in a way that won't hurt your confidence. Eventually, you're going to bring home that Dub.

@@criticalhard You see more as you clear levels. I think that there are some really common first levels. whirlygig, gates, etc.
Tip for Tip Toe: Fake tiles rumble periodically. Watch and wait until you're confident, then run away from the horde to the end.

Whirlygig
- If you use the middle booster and time your jump and dive in 'buttersticks' you can land safely on top, the people underneath you are pretty good stepping stones for this.
- You can go in the middle lane 100% of the time by jumping and diving in the left most part of the booster, the booster will carry your now belly first to the floor body and the windmill will just keep grazing you until you eventually fall to other side.
See-Saw
- Only the later parts of the see-saw will they tilt enough that all players will fall off, if you see them hard tilting its best to just wait till it normalizes because everyone on that see-saw will eventually fall off.
Dizzy Heights
- The right side of the last part is slightly faster than the left because of the direction of the rotation.
Block Party
- It's very rare but if you see two vertical blocks come up instead of horizontal ones *DO NOT* stay in the middle of those two blocks as this will become a U and drag you down with no escape.
Roll Out
- If you are yellow or red do not drop the ball hugging the wall as it is very easy to sabotage you
- You may think sabotaging s a good idea but only have one person sabotage, if their ball is hugging the wall one person is enough as long your entire team is pushing the ball and is not hugging the wall anyone impeding your ball cannot contest your team effort.
Fall Ball
- Make sure to atleast have 1 goalie and mid-fielder depending on the size, if none of these roles are taken its usually best to act as one. Otherwise act as a striker.
- If you're a striker that managed to goal and you're near the goal its faster to just fall off and respawn so you can participate in the kick off.
Tip-Toe
- Fake tiles periodically shake
- The last two real tiles are always on the same column, este if you find the second to the last tile the one in front of it will always be real.

I've seen in a few clips in other videos that it's possible to jump, grab, and then climb up some walls. How do you do this exactly? Because whenever I attempt it I just go face first and slide down. Is there an exact timing to it that I am missing? Great video by the way lots of good tips.
You can ledge grab with shift, so jump towards a ledge and (I usually hold) shift to climb!
@@DennisSanders do you have to be a particular height for it to work? Do you also have to just hold grab as soon as you jump or as soon as you hit the wall?
something you got wrong: in the first part of Hit Parade 9:25 , diving down into the slime immediately as the round starts and avoiding the the bumps is actually much faster than going from the top.
got to the top of fall mountain and in my excitement i jumped and dived and missed the crown. the guy behind me got it

Rock n Roll is so funny. Once had a fight between the to last teams for the balls in the last part for minutes, it was so hilarious😂
The end of Rock n Roll is my favorite part. Sometimes I forget about my ball completely haha

When you get to the butter sticks as he calls them if you feel a bit more confident in yourself you can run up the tread mill and at the end of the treadmill jump and dive to instantly make it into the ledge and skip jumping on the yellow platforms then to the blue one

Same for me. Jump Showdown is a satisfying crown to win.
Here's a tip for tail tag if you don't have a tail. Walk the opposite direction of the floor that moves a certain direction that way you can grab the tail of the people following its direction.
Slime climb is my absolute favourite, gives me mario galaxy vibes

I always seem to have trouble on slumber climb because of getting stuck in the pits below the pushing pillar things if that makes sense
SAME cuz one is fast and one is slow and because everyone pushes u, it’s hard to jump and by the time I get close, I fall into the slime
We all do. Usually because people knock you down. Other people are the true obstacle on Slime Climb
Wish there is a new mode like gun mode. Like shot player and they will drop from the slime and eliminated xD
You can also climb things with R2 on PS4 and RB on Xbox

I’m still a little confused of perfect match, is it the last or the first fruits that are shown on the ground that will match the one shown up top
The flashing ones on the ground show you which tile holds which symbol. The symbol that appears on the screen is random.

I have been playing for a few days and I still have not gotten into a match with the jinx minigame
never finished slime climb even once, I have got 2 crowns.
Once in block party a guy managed to get on top of the side wall. He just stood there immobile and invincible.

Yu think yu good and all until your stuck with the worst possible team and all your hard work yu put in to be one of the last ones no longer matters.
I get that this game died because of lack of updates, but seriously, the wackiness and goofiness of the whole game is really good.
DIVE ONTO THE SEESAWS. It is almost impossible to fall if you dive. The only way you can fall is if you bump into another player mid dive or if the platform is too steep.

Slime Climb is by far the hardest for me. I am lvl 20 now and i literally never finished this parkour. I am always saying to myself, now i play it super safe and I end up most of the time trying the jumps and short cuts..... It seems I deserve to lose on this map every fkn time
I think they should just remove the slime since it is a race like any other race. No need to eliminate people at the back.
