BMW Doctor I bought my 2006 BMW 325i a month ago and is making the same whistling noise and giving me code P00 12, P00 15. I called BMW services and they said that the ccv was replaced a year ago with the previous owner... I doubt it was done cause is making that Same whistling noise. Therefore I will be replacing the CCV but do I have to replace the valve cover aswell? I replaced the valve cover gasket a few weeks ago.

How good is this one really?. Got a couple of very small leaks, think partly down to the RCG, so want to do the CCV first, just incase, as if that’s playing up it might bugger new RCG.

Can you write what you understand about it ? I don't think my CCV is plugged. I'm doing a bad starter, and then I see a significant little puddle of oil on the block, next to the starter.
The CCV doesn't show signs of being plugged.

Did this job yesterday on my 2006 e61 530i with aluminium cover like in the video but with 3 stage manifold. The oil separator was completely clogged up like in this video and while being really careful return hose and the breather hose both broke off completely, that's how brittle and hard this stuff becomes so indeed replace them all. Honestly, the hardest part was removing the two screws that hold the bracket on... thanks for making this video we used it! :)

    2. I also broke the vacuum hose part# 34336762103 at the end where plastic meets rubber. I ordered the part but that small piece doesn’t come off even after removing the 2 hose clips. I have cut it with utility knife to take it out.

Is it the case that once fixed (providing it was the issue to begin with) that any old oil in the system will gradually get burned off? Or should the manifold be cleaned and something added to the fuel system also?

  • @gytucci
    @gytucci 3 роки тому

Does the old oil return hose (with yellow connector) had a check valve in it?
Only few places I found about it people say that old hoses had valves in them with part number 11157527570. But the new ones with 11157567801 are just straight pipes.
So the problem is when the ccv valve are new it's kind of ok, but eventually it starts sucking the oil from the pan.

    Hi.
I have an E60 N52 258hp 2006 for 1 year in Portugal. (because there is expensive gasoline, I put the Liquid LPG system and I am very satisfied), I bought it with about 78000miles and at the moment it is with 90000miles.
I think the car is drinking a little too much oil and will probably be from the ccv no? I have already changed some of the chronic problems of oil, and I think it is the only one missing and the most logical.
Continue with the excellent videos and I hope for answers. Thanks

Hey Doctor, Great Content, I have few questions for you. I bought a 2010 BMW 528i few weeks ago and I started to notice few issues.
    1) Cylinder 3 misfiring first along with cylinder 4.
    2) Changed all spark plugs with all ignition coils. Didn’t fix the problem.
    3) I took the car to a mechanic today
“he said cylinder 3 had oil over the piston and has been damaged by poor maintenance by previous owner, so I need a new engine”
Please can you give your suggestions.

I’m having trouble getting the air intake connected to the throttle body. Any tips? I tried putting it on before the TB, but that was in the way of the bottom bolts. The first intake boot (between the air box & TB) pushes against the metal near the inner fender, which is keeping me from getting it on square. Even on the bench, it was a struggle to get it I. The TB far enough that the clamp didn’t push it off the TB when tightened. Any tips???

Thanks for the video. It is pretty simple actually but I am stuck at the moment. The hose that connects to the crankcase is not cooperating. The one from the CCV down and has yellow clips at the end. It goes on a long way but there is a ring around the metal pipe. Is this just a stop or does the clip latch onto that? I am pushing really hard and I cannot get it over the ring. The hose pushes on pretty far but then not over the ring. I can pull it back off fairly easily.
