I wear a headlamp but always carry a handheld. You never know when you might need extra light or a tool.
Yeah but which one is actually best in your experience? I’m sick of flashlights that claim to be nearly indestructible that drop in lumens by 40% after 4weeks.

I use two beteray head lamps every night. They don’t hold up long, so after a couple months one inevitably becomes a charger and one the lights. I have a bucket of them from a couple years, the batteries are the most expensive part and they work still. After six months or so the batteries only have about an hour and a half before dimming. They work for running the tractor, chainsaw or pew pew pretty good. They are rechargeable. I keep a small petzle battery one for backup because being way out in the woods with less than three lights can be deadly.

I freakin loved my mini mag led single AAA cell light. battery last forever and tough and very small.

Nice collection Richie. Much love and happy trails. It’s getting really dicey and worrisome out there. More stories every day. The sad part is most of this is being forced, and made up to benefit some awful rotten people (if we call em that). The same ones responsible for ww1 & 11 as well as many other events created to wreak havoc in our world provided to US.

I've been carrying the same one for 9 years plus. It's a surefire. It was 80$ same bulb. It runs on a aaa battery but it's never not worked in all that time. One of the best investments I've ever made and I'm a cheapskate on gear.
For me personally, It's the Nitecore P23i, very high candela for the size, strike bezel on the end, Has a separate button for instant strobe, instant turbo function, fits in my hand perfectly because it has great ergonomics, small enough to carry in my pocket, battery life is phenomenal, uses tail switches... it's just perfect to me.
Edit: Also that antique flashlight on the far left side in this video is GORGEOUS!

As a mechanic I'm say it's the cyclops from maxxeon but for other applications I'm not sure I use a laser that will start fires for a light 😂😂
i wonder if ill break out my wallet and get a new light after seeing your video. At the moment i don't believe there is a "best" flashlight. I have 3 go to flashlights, they all have a different jobs, and cant really replace each other. 1) Elzetta bravo customized to accept 18650 about 14 years old. 2) Malkoff 2x 18650 about 5 years old. and some 3) armytek headlamp 18650 about 6 year old.
Elzetta are so underrated. My Alpha is the only light I have ever had last more than year.

Not sure about the best, but olight has some quality lights for the price. They have good flash sales!
I don't really like led torches, they're useless for a beam out to see something in 5he scrub in the dark. But I have a couple of magnetic ones, they can be handy. I actually prefer the dark, to bright light, or any light at night.

freaking scary and have no problem believing ,thanx for warning ,never thought of anything like that before but may come across it in my future. Closest thing I had an old friend go down a dark opioid addiction, overdosed and his parents did &was urged to pull the plug after 7days!Can u imagine giving up on your 30 something year old son after 1 week😢I was shocked probably wld have recovered aside from addiction was in good health😮thx again for sharing ❤

My choice is easily the Elzetta Alpha, as it is the only light I have ever tried to last more than a year. Its a no bs high/low single CR123 light, and is worlds above any of the Chinese made BS currently flooding the edc light market.

The Nitecore EDC27 is easily the best EDC light. Same size as the Microtech Combat Troodon I carry, and with 3000 lumens I can illuminate any darkness.
Yea............. I have one or two and killed it in 7 hrs flat I carry a better version very similar.

People are always impressed that you have a light in your pocket that bright and amazed that you always have it on you. Why wouldn't you want this on you at all times? People are so unprepared. Hey Richie ,I can’t comment on your other channel so I’m here to tell you I follow you and never got the vax . I still ended up hospitalized released in 6 days just to end up back 3 days later with 2 Lung 🫁 clots . 1 in each lung . Being the only one in my family to resist I ask you . How did I get so sick ? It wasn’t a regular flu cause I projectile vomited 🤮 black motor oil looking bile . Needless to say God was with me cause I didn’t die . So what can you say about that ?
