This was an amazing example of how to rescue a disaster! And I bet the thickness of the card after the mistake was even better than the original would have been!
I am just fascinated with your skill of salvaging the messed up! Quite admirable! I'd probably just be frustrated and start all the process over. It's such an important skill, to be able to recover from mistakes in that way, because you'd not be afraid of messing things up and be more creative and free. Perfectionism kills creativity
What an absolutely terrific idea. I really appreciate how you picked up and carried on even though things did not go as planned. You always inspire me.
Now you have given me a challenge for the next set of business cards I make for my husband! He makes kimchi and other pickled foods and sells them by word of mouth and is always handing out plain, 'carbon copy' business cards I make using business card stock. This would be eye catching and I love gelli printing thanks to you and my home made printing pads. A new adventure!
I teach language classes and I'm totally stealing this idea. I don't have a brayer so I'm going to have to improvise. Thanks for the idea. I think I'll use labels for the front of the card to eliminate a glue step.
QUESTION: do you use a giullotine cutter to cut them all so evenly? Like the kind schools always had? If I ever see one of those at a library or school surplus sale I would grab it up. I can't cut anything straight. Not even with a straight edge and razor knife.💙💚😱
Really neat, like an art trading card. I think the project challenges made the cards even more unique and professional. Did you seal the gel print side? or put them in a plastic sleeve? love the results you got! Thanks for posting!
What paints did you use to get the sparkle? The Turner paints are not sparkly as far as I can tell. I am not referring to the ink you splashed on at the end. Thanks! This is a super cool idea for business cards. I want to make some. I do not even have a business!
I rewatched it and you said they are Turner Lamay (?) paints. How do you spell it and where can I find them? They are so cool! I have been all over the internet and can't find them. Thanks.

Yes i believe creative cards, gotta give something they will remember
Love your mistakes and how you correct them....you give me hope for the things that always seem to go wrong for me....Sandy

I just love this idea!! And you can personalize them as you want. Thanks for sharing, Lindsay 😀
& now they'll all remember exactly who you are - well done!
Love those prints. That's something I would have done with the boo boo. Great save Lindsey. Tyfs. That's how we learn from each other..
What a great idea for a crafty person!
You always figure out a way to make a beautiful card out of a possible disaster. Way to go.
Nothing like deadline induced panic to make you persevere:)

You could use peel and stick type stickers to print on and just stick to the cardstock too!! I really like the black background on your cards!!

Very pretty cards. Amazing that you could salvage that at last second, that's some ingenuity. lol
Wow this is fun and so pretty! Thanks for so much for sharing your mistakes!

Actually, I was looking for a creative way to make some business cards before my next show! Thanks for the idea! 💡
That's such a great idea Lindsay, I will have to give this a try as I need some new business cards!
These look super cool !
Great idea!
Gorgeous cards!!
Love these! Beautiful!!❤️❤️
They look beautiful, Lindsey 😊
how about spraying a protective layer on the gelli print art side before you add the inks, thanks for a great video with a great idea
What a great idea to create my own artful business cards. Thanks 😁
Really nice paterns, I also do my business card with the Gel Print and I put a Avery sticker with my informations on the back of the cardstock
Do rhey stay atuck well for you? I worried they might peel up.
Yes they do stay I would send you a example but I dont have your email. I check your blog but did’nt find it

A flat sided bottle or rolling pin covered with plastic wrap if you don't want the paint to actually touch it would work well.
Brayers are fairly inexpensive. If you live near a big box store you can use a coupon. I love my brayer.

This is a FANTASTIC idea!! I need new business cards for this new business venture I'm in (AHEM!). Will definitely have to try this. Thank you.
It couldn't have happened to a better person!
Very cool, and great recovery! I need new business cards, too. :)
They are awesome!! I use my off cut prints for my business cards like this. Everything I sell is unique so all my cards are the same :)
WOW this is very creative. Love this idea.
Years ago I did a bunch of Christmas cards and the glue stick didn't hold so I'm very familiar with that, too! Nice video and they look super!
When that happens I say " oh, I sent you an activity! Did you like the DIY card?" Haha:)
Try 3M spray adhesives - they work really well. 😊

I haven’t been like this early ever before

At jerry's artarama you can get them by the tube for about $3 and they are the pearl and lamè
@@thefrugalcrafter thanks. Which colors do you like best? (of the lame and pearl)
Just to say. Happy haloween!!!
