3:20 Top left photo shows the former Dolphin Hotel next to the entrance of the Arndale Centre. One of the finest beer drinking establishments in Poole. Sadly now gone.
I was born in Poole in 1960 and still live here. I remember all those old places. Shame to see what has become of our once lovely town. Great choice of song, too.
Where’s the Art Deco building at 3:06 in the video? Is it the Ryvita factory on Old Wareham Road. I’m from Sheffield, now 60 years old, been coming down to Poole since the early 60’s, my Auntie Marje had a council house on Kimmeridge Avenue. Still love Poole, we’re coming down again for a fortnight from New Years Eve.
Excellent! Many memories.

Electric Light Orchestra - Hello My Old Friend... :-)
I was working at Sunseeker on West Quay Road and we we went outside to watch the power station chimneys come down.
When did they come down?
