That’s one of those televisions that you used have to turn on and off yourself by walking over to it and physically pressing a metal button with your finger!!! How did folk cope in those bygone days?
I do that now for 'television' on the internet. A 20-inch monitor shows me the images, but I need to walk up to my desk to physically click a wired mouse if I want to pause or rewind or change the volume. It's great, it keeps me moving!
Hello. This is a real long shot but I’m hoping someone can remember this: I am searching for a Location, Location, Location episode featuring a couple looking to move to a place in the South. From memory it was a smallish village somewhere above Brighton (ish). I distinctly remember they were looking to move there as the schools were fantastic and Phil wholeheartedly agreed. Does anyone remember this episode and the name of the place they were looking to move to? Many thanks in advance of your help!
Something doesn't sound right. You wake up one day to see the sun, the waves, surrounded by culture and think 'I know, I'll go to enjoy the rain and clouds in Northern Ireland.. maybe try out a few old-man pubs and buy some new wellies.'
It’s not bad in Ireland I’d assume it’s just different, also miami is pretty great but it’s expensive. Huge beach line but guaranteed she wasn’t near the beach. Shed have to drive 5-20 mins to get there. Considering her low budget I’d assume she didn’t have a particularly nice home in Miami either, probably a 1950s small ranchette in a non HOA, non gated community (almost all communities are gated in south Florida for some reason)
Internet cafe? Wow it's been many years since I've heard that!
If you look at that buyer's face when she enters the last house, you can see she is going to buy it! It's magical to her...
What a throwback! Kirsty looks like she could be a 6 member of the spice girls with that coat! I love these pair together.
Recently discovered this show, love love love it. These two are wonderful to watch.
Thank God Phil Spencer discovered intonation at a later date!
watching this in May 2023 - nice to see Kirsty knocking out walls even back then ...
So funny to see these two when young and gauche lol
This is so old but good
Wow a real artist! Beautiful paintings
Lovely talented artist❤️🇨🇦
Permanent peace on the horizon.. Kirsty Allsop is 16.. how old is this episode 😂😂
Edit: now they’re in an Internet cafe 😂🙂
Early 2000, according to the end of part two.

Or your patents were too lazy to get off the couch, and commanded one of the kids to do it instead.😜
6:40 this place has a name you know, it’s called Roughfort!
That is in between Templepatrick and Mallusk
@JOE KYLE you’re right, Mallusk is a very Protestant village indeed
Internet cafe? How old is this show?😁

You also know that Lady Alsop is thinking about how similar her dog kennel is in value.

A budget of £70,000 🤣🤣🤣🤣 wouldn't buy you a shed....this programme must be 20 years old
Seriously the prices back then sound ridiculously cheap. I can’t believe you could get a house for a price of a fancy car.
Beat around the bush? From Miami!
Did she buy it?
Some Americans are so abrasive.
Very true.. the lot of us aren't, I promise. She's apparently just spoiled. I loved all the houses she looked at.
Am an American...and I agree, she most definitely is one!!
Its the biggest financial decision a person will make. Realtors must have tough skin. They are used of these clients.
Shes’s a “take charge” kind of person. She really annoyed me!
You've never come across a fireguard before?
She’s American..blissfully ignorant!
oh mybsweet soul....How OLD is this ......explaining the internet....in an internet cafe......holy guacamole 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I want this house…
Microphone poking into shot on second house. Never heard of Kia in North America until manu years later.
Kia plant in La Grange, Georgia was being built when this episode was first aired.
This must be an old episode
21 years old
It was definitely filmed between 1999 and 2003. I can tell because the Village Hill housing estate in Straid was still being built.
€70,000? What exactly does she think that’s going to get her?
She sounds like Roseanne.
LOUD .. yes
Jewish
REALLY annoying 'music' in the background on and off. Get rid of it.
Wouldn't live in NI for free .
That is the worst music!
