Gotta say I'm loving the Topanga coverage. These have been droping as i clock out of work and its a great detox, I was always interested in their tournaments back in the SF4 days as well but no one covered them the way you are doing it now. Thanks!
Honestly, I think knee is 100% better than green hand. Safe on block and meterless. Drive rush knee is a 50/50. Only thing is it don't absorb projectiles, but he got LV2 now.
Yeah now that I think of it everyone else has OD extensions for combos but if zangeif wants damage he either spends OD lariat which ends the combo with only a little extra damage or spend 3 whole bars to add 1-2 normals into a combo, big guy eats big drive gauge even when he's not constantly block and parrying on his way in. He's really good now with all the buffs, like maybe top 10? Atleast better than manon and lily.
Man i absolutely love watching Ryukichi, he has probably one of the most enjoyable Kens to watch. It’s always cool and helps me learn my character more and more.
Sajam, as well as other special commentators somehow turn these competitors fights into godlike bouts with exposition and info that even new players can somewhat digest, while also pointing out the crucial mistakes they constantly make despite being the best in the game. Props to you for always trying your hardest to support other people to strive to do better bc you certainly have helped me get past certain mindset traps just by vibing positivity! Please never stop never stopping
I bought SF6 like a week ago and I was looking for content creators in the community, I think I found you first lol. Very glad, I love your videos :3 Keep up the good work
Even if Zangief is a bit too strong I don’t think it can be said enough how much of a fucking gamer Kobayan is. The shit this man does to his opponents is diabolical, so much of the credit has to go to him instead of gief being too strong.
Kobayan literally played out of his mind. I would venture to say there is no Gief player right now who can do what he did at this tournament. His consistency and reads were next level.
1:28:48. Not sure about that, Kobayan did great in the ft3 group stage, and if you look at the results for the finals he would have gone 5-1 if it was ft2 or ft3 (losing to Kawano for both), and still win the tournament. So Kobayan did great both in short and long sets. Obviously the players mindset is different when they know its a long set, so its not a totally fair comparison. To bad hes not going to Evo, but he will be at the EWC LCQ.
If knee isn't going to be safe point blank, it needs to travel further. Try for yourself to hit your opponent on any frame other than the first one. It's hard. The move was stupidly unusable before the buff, because you're usually either punishable or just fall short and get whiff punished. They chose to make it safe rather than making it travel further.
@@vasilykiselev6285 I'm hoping the nerfs only hit Drive gain. I'd still like to see buffs for those few moves of his that are egregiously bad, like Siberian Express and Tundra Storm. I've given up hope for cross-up or air invuln lariat.
yeah, meter regen on gief is definitely getting nerfed, but if knee gets hit too then they gotta give him some lariat buffs and/or easier ways to combo into level 1... still waiting on hell stab or cyclone to change for an easier combo for the 2
The salt over Gief is out of control. Every play Kobayan makes the comment is about his buffs or how good the character is, and every time Fuudo makes a play it’s praise on Fuudo. Get real man. Such a hater that even Manon is catching strays 🧂🧂
Sajam isn't salty, he's educating the viewers about season changes. Zangief moved pretty far on the tier list imo. It's helpful to know a lot of subtle changes impacted Gief greatly.

Green hand? Nah, green knee

Its an all Green Knee economy baby
Evo competitors may need to be grateful some of these demons aren’t taking the flight to Vegas.
Such a shame, if you are sponsored, you should be going to evo
Have a drinking game in all topanga videos where you do a shot of vodka everytime Sajam mentions Zangief drive gauge damage or gain
And gief needs it no joke
You be in the hospital after 1 kobayan match

You would not believe your eyes
If ten million bars of drive
Turned zangief green
As you block his knee
(Please take me away from here)
This comment made my day
I really love watching Kobayan play, Sad he won’t be at EVO Vegas this year
Man, i just love Gief (grapplers in general), the gameplay of you get hit a lot but to put fear in your enemies heart
1:22:25 Unironically, I love Zangief soooo much. Look at this man! IT'S SO HYPE!
TLDW : Kobayan is a beast. He was a beast in S1 but now things are a lot better for him since Gief doesn't have busted kneecaps anymore.

if its money we need to crowd fund kobayan to evo, absolute carnage.
17:30 Momochi is too fucking good. That was absolutely incredible.
I think this game would be better if they made Ryu's arms bigger

Luke
Boots with the irl run dp on Teo

Damn, grappler that spends a lot of resource getting in is rewarded with resource when he guesses correctly? What were the devs thinking?!
No one is noticing kobayans skill it kinda sucks how everyone wants gief nerfed when these players are finally not handicapped
Unironically I just don't want Gief to be good, it is less fun when you have to worry about getting gief'd whenever you go on ranked
@@derelbenkoenigyea, you should get ken'd, juri'd, akuma'd, cammy'd and so on but god forbid you get gief'd, nerf gief asap
@@vasilykiselev6285 I agree, those characters aren't slow heavy grapplers
And I'm not saying this for any legitimate game balance reason just what feels fun and satisfying to me
Damn the bots coming out for Sajam, you love to see it
I, do this day, hear "Tank left" and not "Sand Blast" whenever Luke throws a fireball lol
GIEF POWA
The SF2 animated movie is so fucking great. The final fight is hype AF.
Also, Chun Li
IKWYM
I’m still disappointed that one of her supers isn’t throwing a couch at you.
I'm surprised Ryukichi didn't pop lvl1 right here 28:16. Ken has a great down back lvl1 reversal.
hikaru going default aki costume was basically him tapping out
Bro looking down at his stick whenever something unlucky happens haha

22:00 was straight up nasty
It looked like a modern speed super. So good.
Honestly? There was no need to play the rest of the set. That CA closed the deal.
22:50 you know he feel some typa waaaaaaay.

Sajam complaining about Zangief's drive gage. Zangief is slow and doesn't have fireballs, can a Russian bear have some tools!
Knee loses to projectiles though. I need OD green hand
