Totally agree, pal. I'm 32 and actually in Russia all we had on TV was later years of wcw, 1998+, so this theme was the only one I knew and associated with Bret. Later on I found out his original one from wwf was different after playing a wrestling game on Sega:)
This one is a pure heel version when Bret was showing his “Hitman” side in wcw! Best part was when he kept destroying Booker’s, Benoit, DDP and Rey Mysterios’s knees!
Don't forget his feud with Sting. Absolutely loved that feud. While Sting is my favorite wrestler ever, I loved how that feud played out. It ended with Hart totally destroying the Stinger at Havoc '98.
This was one of the best wrestling themes of all time. Compared to his original theme --- It had a more "mature" feel to it --- which matched precisely where Bret was in life post-WWF, now unleashed and a LONER in WCW. The spirit of this song was still very "Bret" --- but a little more SERIOUS, Darker, and Brooding --- for a DEADLIER, Montreal-damaged-HITMAN that had nothing to lose. Haunted and consumed by a new obsession - winning the WCW World Championship - Bret would now win "at any cost" to preserve his excellence.
It really is a shame how he was mishandled. THIS Bret could have lived up to his moniker of "HITMAN" ---- literally TAKING OUT & DESTROYING members of the NWO one by one. With nothing to lose, his agenda would lead him to the *ONLY* Redemption he craved: HOGAN & his world title.
That is exactly how he should've been booked: keep him heel and have him angry, paranoid, hurt, and have the win-at-all-costs mentality. His weak point was his promos but all his promos in 97 were awesome just coz he was genuinely pissed off. I would've loved to have seen an evil Bret Hart, and all he had to change in appearance to make it happen was his pink shades to sunglasses. He looked a proper badass with those on.
I remember when he was heel in WCW and had this song, there was this theme being played when he kept destroying booker t, rey mysterio and dean malenko. He truly was letting the hitman character evolve VISCIOUSLY!!
+JoshOrtiz88 personally i perfer his first but he also did use the nwo theme in wcw granted it wasn't very long but yes he did use it which i think was his best wcw theme
This suited Bret really well. Sure it’s not as iconic as his WWE theme but where he was at that stage in his career this theme had a sort of redemption feel to it.
Too everyone saying this is a better theme than the wwf one, you have a right to your opinion. I completely disagree though. I want to add that whenever anyone thinks of and remembers Bret Hart, this song won't ever come to mind.
Wrong cause i do and it looks like im not the only one i was in my 20s when he went to wcw this is the song i like to remember him coming to the ring it sounds harder.
@Justin Sharpe Funny. I have played Tekken 3 since 1998 houndereds of times. The e-guitar-parts do sound pretty similiar to some arrangements on Tekken 3.
I always liked Vader's WCW theme as well as Lex Lugar's before going to WWE in 1993. And my favorite is the original Wargames theme. And yes I admit i liked the Vinnie Vegas played by Kevin Nash.
I like this theme. I think it could have worked for Benoit for some reason too, I dunno why just seem to suit him. Or if he and Hitman would have worked tags more often, this theme would have rocked for them!
Those are some sick guitar riffs. I could listen to this song on repeat.
I do often
This is a good tune. I think the people who shit on it only shit on it because it's not WWF.
I love this theme for Bret. I actually like it more than his WWF theme. This was the Hitman.
Me too

I honestly love this theme song. Very underrated. Even by Bret.
What does Bret think of it? I lovvvvve it!
@@scottgrams3669 it was his first theme song the one he hated
His WWF theme is iconic but this has more of the vibe of an actual hitman IMO
This really was the ULTIMATE theme for a heel Bret Hart. It's like a dark sequel to his WWF theme.
One of the dopest entrance themes ever. Someone needs to use it again
Brian pillman jr or maybe David Smith

I must admit, while the Hitman's WWE 90's theme is iconic, I always thought this one was way cooler.
The single greatest wrestler in the history of wrestling. Stampede, WWF, WCW. The best there is, the best there was, THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE!!!!
I was a big sting mark back in the day, but the hitman is, was, and ever will be the best wrestler.
The Excellence of Execution.
He was so damn good…buttery smooth
I actually like this song. Nothing will beat his WWF one, but this one is good.
WWF was best
I think Natty should come out to this theme👍
@@Primeghost_2 I'd be ok with this idea.

This theme stomps the fuck out of the WWF offers.
This theme was so badass
I love bret he's so determined
Bret Hart was such an underrated heel. His promos had gotten way better by the time he fully turned.
In 97 his promos were brilliant, all raw emotion, purely coz for the most part he was pissed off with Shawn
the promo when goldberg spears him with the steal plate on was epic
Better heel than face
Trust me, when you’re on the last 300m or so of your mile, this is what you want playing.
I can picture that actually. It's like heavy but inspirational at the same time with a driving beat.
This one is a pure heel version when Bret was showing his “Hitman” side in wcw! Best part was when he kept destroying Booker’s, Benoit, DDP and Rey Mysterios’s knees!

Bret had a groin pull the likes of which we've never seen. That is a REAL INJURY!!!!
Remember when he got loose on Rey Mysterio and Juventud Guerrera he beat the shit out of them he said it too nobody is safe in wcw

You should watch "How WCW should have booked Bret Hart".
oh my gosh THANK YOU!!! That was exactly what I envisioned and even better !

This just reminds me of when he came out to address his brother's death back in '99 R.I.P Owen and Bret was one of the greatest of all time.
He said he hated it. But I love it
He wrote about it in his book. He referred to it as his "horrible WCW music". That cracked me up pretty good.
JoshOrtiz88 His FIRST wcw theme was DREADFUL...this one was excellent
This one was miles ahead of his first WCW theme. I do enjoy this one as well.

Bret hart heel theme
omer suleiman Yes😔
He used it as a face too, in the 2nd half of 1999
Especially when his brother Owen died.
Bret hart theme vs DDP at WW3
Truly.
When he was a heel in WWF, he still used the same theme.
Late 98 Hitman was an absolute savage.
I truly enjoy this theme… NEVER like WWE, but it’s so good, a truly elaborate theme song for the Hitman
God, I love this theme.
First heard this watching World War 3 '98, still think this is one of the best heel themes in wrestling.
This theme is banging
I absolutely love this theme
Hart had the timing and class like no other in recent past. He is school, watch him and learn.
This theme was pretty epic man
One of my Favorite WCW themes
If I was a director I would've put this in one of my movies
This theme is actually pretty cool
No shit
I really love the intro. Holy shit.
I miss wcw😭😭
towars the end, he finally got a decent theme song and this one was it
The reason why I liked the video is because Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler
Mine too.
Same
Cool story bro
Mine too
Even better than his fed theme
His WWF theme iconic but fits a babyface he was until after WM13, But this fits a heel he was in WCW.
No it doesn’t my friend trust me
This the best thing to come out of his WCW run
Jimmy Hart wasn't on Jim Johnson level, but bro made some lowkey bangers and alternatives to that wrestler's WWE themes.
I could workout to this theme all day Hitman all time great top 10
Love this theme.
Interesting, never watched WCW. 90's WWF fan here.
I didn't watch a whole lot of WCW, I mainly remember this theme because they played it when Bret was on Mad TV 😂
A LOT better than I thought it would be!
I prefer this over his WWF era theme. Felt way more raw and aggressive.
Hart disliked this song, I think. I think it's one of the best wCw ever produced.
It is damn epic. Machine like, cold, precise. Awesome

One of the best themes of WCW. It fits Harts rude and raw attitude after he turns heel after a few month in WCW.
Dude, this theme rocks. 🤯
The best there was the best there is and the best there will be.

Far better than his other WCW tune, which to paraphrase another commenter "sounded like the groans of a dying robot".
Bret‘s WCW run was cursed. That said, this is an awesome theme for a heel Hitman
Such a banger
Them guitars though DAMN NOSTALGIA!!!
There’s no way Kings of Leon’s song “Crawl” wasn’t heavily inspired by this. It’s eerily similar.
Total rip off of Bret's theme.

This is The Chemicals Between Us by Bush lol
I really wish he had stayed in WWF/WWE. He wasn’t shallow enough to be in the WCW. He needed depth of story lines to thrive, much like Austin.
Nothing to do with being shallow. Vince couldn't afford to pay him.
