I could listen to this all day. This theme fits Bret so well. I don't understand how he dislikes this. I remember when Nitro he came out with different music and I was so pissed off.
It does fit Bret well , but the reason people probably don't like it is because it comes off as a less superior generic version of the 1994-1997 WWF theme.
Bret actually had 3 songs in WCW this one is his WWF song backwards and the 2nd one very hard to find was much much closer to his WWF one and then for his last year or so in WCW he had the one that sounds like a storm in the beginning
This is his second theme. HIs first was similar but more relaxed. You can hear it in his first few weeks in WCW, like when a debuted with an introduction from JJ Dillion.
This is the theme for the bootleg low budget “wrestler figure” from Caldors made out of rubber and the arms and legs can’t move and his name was Bert Heart
I loved Bret's WCW heel character. He was the smartest guy in the company (in kayfabe). He would destroy people with a chair after losing his belt and then easily defeat them in his rematch the next week. Manipulative and dangerous. I know he was booked bad but he was entertaining as hell. Everyone hated him!
I actually love this, I couldn't remember it much and probably didnt gave a good listen at the time but I like this. It seems to have the same kind emulation that Hogan's WCW theme had where it kept a lot of the essence but was new and different enough
The heel theme for wcw is so cool love that one I listen to it at work to pump me up yes Bret hart the best wcw fan where rough thou spitting and throwing crap all the time
Technically this isn't his first wcw theme. This version was used at wcw Souled Out 1998 first time when he had his match against Ric Flair. His first wcw theme however sounds very similar to this one, it's basicly the same. But without the main guitar sound. You can hear the first version / real first wcw theme at 1997 Starrcade, Nitro 5th january episode and at the very first wcw Thunder episode.
I remember this theme and it was okay. His heel theme after this was fine but I remember he had a third theme that played after his match with sting at Halloween havoc and I was confused as it never played again.
Considering what they did with Bret this wasn’t horrible. However I understand anyone not enjoying this because Bret’s entrance theme in the late 90’s simply is one of the best of all time. The greatest moment in wrestler theme history is seeing the look on Austin’s face when Bret’s theme squeals as his enters the Royal Rumble.
We all had to type “Bret’s 1sr WCW theme”, this wasn’t “suggested”…..we re either alll losers or we re all totally awesome….still deciding….. nah… we re AWESOME!
@@thebasketballhistorian3291 Jimmy Hart wrote the original Hart Foundation theme, which became Bret's music. Bret's last WCW theme was the only good one but it wasn't as fitting as the one Jimmy Hart wrote.

Sad thing is if this was used as a current WWE theme it would stand out as one of the better themes in 2022.
Can't deny that.

Decent theme, but could never live up to his cracking WWF one. Now that was a classic.
