Maddy Harland asks artist and author, Glennie Kindred, what celebrating the seasons means to her? What happens? How do we shift our consciousness? How do we build community?
Glennie speaks about the shift in consciousness that occurs and how her connection with trees and Nature as a whole has brought stillness, groundedness, healing and deepening insights. She describes how to enter a liminal space and the gifts that can be received from this place; and the joy and magic of reciprocity when we expand 'between the worlds'.
Glennie explains the importance of creating our own ceremonies to connect with nature and the land around us instead of trying to reconstruct the past or mimic/appropriate things from other cultures.
They discuss Glennie's latest book, Between the Worlds, and one of her earliest works, Sacred Earth Celebrations.

After meeting many Sadhus and sages, Buddha finally attained enlightenment under a Bodhi tree. Is it necessary to go there? I think any tree we find peace under becomes the Bodhi tree. We can go to Bodhi tree for few days but it will not help much unless we find our own tree for liberation.
I love though how she said that in a sacred place, we will get into state of stillness even without performing any ceremony. Makes sense.
