Best fishing video ever! One I think only Dad's with kids can fully appreciate. Took my little ones all the time with me. Bank fishing and in the boat for Salmon and Steelhead. You can imagine the work that was for me. Best memories of my life! They always cried when I bonked the fish. Good Dad you are. Fish on Ron. Oregon. 🐟🛴
love how Ben already has the OG fisherman stance down with the hands in the life vest 😂 adorable! great video, great catch, and (i’m sure) such a great Father’s Day! 👍🏽
Awesome to fish with kids. Love it. Nice Halibuts. I think the halibut cut your leader. Leopard shark or stingray usually do not cut line. Sorry to say that I am nervous to see you guys do not wear life vests. We need to go home alive with our families after every fishing trip. Please be safe fishing. I am a good swimmer, but I do not start the motor without our on life vest. Stay safe. I love your videos. Fish on.
I think that was on Wednesday, Fished near you guys in my alumaweld. We only ended up with 1 keeper. Better than none(-:Glad you guys had fun with the kids! Happy fathers day.
Hey, yeah we just caught the one salmon, tried for halibut for 20mins maybe but didnt like that wind and was picking up a lot of weeds. We had our salmon and that was the goal so we called it a day earlier then we were expecting. How did you do? Yeah when I saw you I had to come over and say hi, I am guessing its your wife, her hat was the giveaway it was you guys. Need that signature look! Good seeing you guys out there too!
What a special day, thank you for it!!! My father never did anything with me but my grandfather did. As a teenager, I was surprised that I was able to still remember the knots and tricks I was taught after all those years. This trip will stick with them forever. Happy Fathers Day to you both!!!
Chris, nice job! Fun video of two great friends teaching the next generation of sportsmen and women conservationist and most importantly spending time with your kids building bonds and memories that will last for ever! I remember the few fishing trips my dad took me on and the excitement of my first little bluegill and I feel that's what created my fishing addiction. This past fathers day a friend of mine an I took our 13 year old boys for a back country overnight "Boys to Men" alpine trout fishing trip near Tahoe of Hwy 80 to an epic trout lake. The boys had the same excitement and reaction as your little ones. Good times brother! Keep the good content coming! I appreciate the educational info you share as I am a newbie to west coast ocean fishing. Any time you want to take a subscriber out, give us a shout and I will show you these trout lakes! :)
Jonathan Rego Chris’ Tamales Bay videos have me interested in trying same for first time. Stay at it, you’ll get them...hopefully on a day when I’m there too, catching!
@@ChrisPfish2 we went yesterday instead of Friday and I caught a few fish that I wasn't aiming for. The swells were bigger than my mind could handle for a small boat I was on (rented from the board walk) lol so we stayed close to shore. The spot we was told about would have been good if I had a bigger boat. But lunch was good and it was nice to be out under the sun. 😊
Hi Matt, yeah its fun getting them involved early. Both my kids love fishing and get really excited when I take them. Good luck with the little ones, I remember those times, mine are 4 & 6 now. My wife and I are finally starting to feel like we are getting our lives back. It was all enjoyment dont get me wrong, but those sleepless nights, diapers and constant feeding takes its toll. Thanks for the comment and watching my videos!
That an Awesome Father Day!!! Doesn’t get better then this, catching fish was a bonus!!! You both have great kids, I love the way you let him bring it in, definitely better the blue Gil fishing Lol!! Take care and have a Great Father Day!!! Tight lines brother!!!🎣🎣🎣
Fun watching the young ones get excited. You mentioned: "the is time 9:30, high tide in a half hour, you'll be drifting there for another half hour." Do you stop fishing at high tide?
Hi Tony, I appreciate your sub and I am happy you enjoy my videos! I fish in waters 30-60' deep off angel island. Yeah tide is very important. You want a slow incoming tide. High tide is best. thanks for watching!
ChrisPfish I watched some more ur previous videos and found u already mentioned the high tide in SF bay and the depth as well. :) I also like ur way to catch smelt. I learned a lot from ur videos. Thanks.
Maybe I'm just a nervous nellie but waving a gaff around on a pitching boat with little kids and no eye protection was wigging me out. Maybe just net fish when the little ones are out with you? Otherwise another awesome vid Chris!
Seen you in line for the live bait Saturday. I was couple boats in frony of you with the black tracker like yours. Tried your methods out from the videos and hoped for some hali but no luck. Skunked lol we had fun tho.
man that is too bad you didnt get any. I was in bodega on saturday going for salmon. must of been someone else. It was a negative tide that morning. Bad for halibut, you want high tide. Thanks for watching!
I was wondering if your were going to be right on the size 😂😂 you were as always lol those are nice looking fish. I ate my first halibut last week and man that’s one of my favorite now 🤤
Great job and I wanted to recommend loosening your drag a little bit more to prevent big fish lost you can always tighten up as needed when your fighting it😉🌅🛸🎣
When I was 5 my dad took me striped bass fishing two times a week until I was 18, I'm not kidding way to much, now I'm 64 and I go once a week, my 22 year old son has gone once in his life with me, how it's all computer games for him, happy Father's Day, your UA-cam is great
I appreciate the comment! Yeah kids are changing, trying to keep my kids away from the screens but its hard. Looks like this whole school year could be done in front of a screen. I try and get my kids out on the boat often, they seem to enjoy it a lot, my wife says its because we always catch and as long as that happens the kids will enjoy it. Thanks for watching!

@@ChrisPfish2 Lol She's got to have her hat! We ended up with 4 stripers, 2 halibuts, and 40+ crabs. The wind did got nasty and we left too.
Congrats on the Father's Day fish!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY . Great video good times thanks for sharing
Hi Huston, thanks for checking out the video! Yeah it was a good time out there!
Always awesome to teach em early. I have 2 little ones and I know exactly how it can be. Lol. Great job dads!
oh man we had a lot going on in the boat for sure. We handled it well and the kids did good. Catching fish helps for sure. Thanks for watching!

Awesome vid guys!!! What rods were you using? Looking for a new rod and wondering what ratings i should be looking at.
Definitely one of the main reasons I would like a boat one day!
yeah its great taking the kids out... sometimes lol. Thanks for watching!
Fun watching the young ones get excited. You mentioned: "the is time 9:30, high tide in a half hour, you'll be drifting there for another half hour." Do you stop fishing at high tide?
the incoming tide is best for halibut and maybe 1hr after. So i try and fish that window. thanks for watching!
THANK YOU.

the net fell in the water early on that day
@@ChrisPfish2 D'oh! I put those pool noodle sections on all my gear just in case. Lost too much stuff over the side over my many years on the sea.
Where do you dock off at bro?
Went after califonia halibut in oregon yeasterday we landed 3 in an hour of trolling no size limit on them here and the possession limit is 25 a day
Wow that's lucky in all aspects! We have to make sure they're 22" and only 3 a day. Well good for you! Congratulations!

Noooooooooo touched the drag with the fish on (2nd fish) and popped it immediately after. :/ first one was most likely a ray with the way it took off!
I was wondering if your were going to be right on the size 😂😂 you were as always lol those are nice looking fish. I ate my first halibut last week and man that’s one of my favorite now 🤤
yeah hali are great eating cooked right. Yeah I need an estimating job. I am good at that lol. Thanks for watching Ahmed!
