Watford fan here, seeing Young come through was incredible. He was so incredibly talented and helped us get promoted to the Premier League, despite us being favourites to be relegated. Great player.
I remember him first catching my eye while playing with Carew at Villa and for some reason always rooted for the guy, even as a dirty red, just something about his style, skill set and tempremant that rubbed mne the righty way. Seeing him play well into his late 30's and still going strong made me admire the guy even more.... Don't think i've ever seen or heard him open his mouth all these years ,other than that time he got done dirty from above, but hearing him reflect on his careerr and coming across as a very humble, well spoken, reflected guy just gave me more love for him!! Muy sympatico as the spanish would say....has made it into my hall of fame!!
I’m a city fan and the aura Sir Alex had, he just knew when to hook a player off and gave his team this immense belief they could win EVERYTHING. He’s a GOAT manager of the premier league era. United were blessed to have him as we are Pep, the teams results since sir Alex left the head seat show this unequivocally. Credit were it’s due, simple
What?! That’s what I was watching for. Could have asked him questions about it coming full circle and how the Villa team he played in differed from this one
@@User_40437 agreed, but this was his first proper appearance don't forget. he can work on the small stuff, his experience and knowledge we can all learn from
Earlier in his career I wasn’t a fan of Ashley Young, I felt he was overrated, attitude was bad, shouldn’t have been playing for England. The longer his career went on, the more likeable he seemed. Fair play to him he proved me wrong, great attitude and hard worker
They should do a Beckham style Netflix documentary on Young what a story can even put in how he was one of first players along with Rio and Rooney to start player power coz they thought they were the big men coz finally the class of 92 had gone
I have a feeling he is going to announce his retirement and if so, that's a terrible shame. Only the best of athletes can play this long at this level.
Mourinho didn't play the united way - omg!! whats the united way? losing 7-0 to liverpool, 4-0 to crystal palace? when you have smalldini and pill jones at CB you can only play a certain way.
The players these days don't care about supporter's or rivalry 😂 most players don't even like football and don't understand the fans passion and won't care about the history between arsenal and spurs
Hahahahaha bro acting like players like bruno fernandez and neymar don't exist . You clearly have zero clue about the game so back to the basement for you
No, but spending most of that career as a player who barely scored and assisted is what makes you bang average. Think of the generation of wingers that came before him at United. Comparing him to them, he's bang average. And two seasons is Serie A? We're not talking about the heyday of Italian football here. Every player looks good on Wikipedia. He was a literal substitute for most of his career; unless his was playing for bang average teams like Villa and Watford.
As a United fan, I absolutely love this guy. Incredible servant for our club. Could do with 11 of him on the pitch for us now.
Remember the goal against arsenal
As a villa fan I agree

Definitely one of the most underrated pl players incredible longevity
He was a very good diver as well, to win penalties
this guy really aged gracefully, he's 3 months older than Rooney... let that sink in...
Lol, black don't crack
Young is supposed to be incredible at the bleep test.
He’s forever Young!
I mean, it’s in his name…

Disappointed they skipped over his return to Villa. I absolutely loved his return. Ashley Young is a brilliant leader; always wants that smoke.
What?! That’s what I was watching for. Could have asked him questions about it coming full circle and how the Villa team he played in differed from this one
villa fan here... we all loved young at the club, exceptional player & had the beating of almost every right back
you mean exceptional diver?
Villa fan. Ashley Young before the move to Man Utd under Martin O’Neill was one of, if not the best players we ever had in the premier league
Top player always gave it his all for any club
top diver.
Very pleasant and intelligent man. Ashley is a legend. Thanks for the conversation!
Unfortunately he didn't open up about Everton's 1-1 away draw against Luton back on Friday.

@@ChronicTheHempHog-mf3nh Of course, he joined Everton since 2023.

What a player
Zennete ,ashley young , Milner , Steve gerrard, and many more guys are versatile or can play a lot of positions
Loving these interviews
Of course, it's Monday Night Football interview with Ashley Young, full-backer of Everton.
Great player, great career too, really well spoken and smart bloke. Career in the media beckons post playing days.
Ashley Young never gets old
The quintessential “top professional”. No fuss. Just consistent high work ethic, athleticism, and well-rounded ability.
huh? so we'll just pretend he never dived or cheated for multiple penalties??
Ashley is a top pro , role model .
Gutted they didn’t spend more time on his Inter spell. Winning Serie A was an amazing achievement for him
Wow it’s easy to forget the career profile. Some player.
But it's hard to open up about Everton's 1-1 away draw against Luton Town this past Friday.
England wasted a load of solid all round players like Young, Milner and Forster ,the 2010s really exposed the FA
The FA are the biggest enemy of English football
The streets will never forget FIFA 11 Ashley Young 👑

You have to respect Ashley Young for the career he's had. He gets a lot of stick but he's made the most kf his career.

The only player to concede 3 penalties in 1 match and not get a red card.
