    Deflating tires down to 12-15 PSI, should give a smooth ride over the dunes.

      It depends per vehicle, but yes deflating in dunes is always a good idea ;)

      @@76Overland Over the last month we've been down RT95 from the RT10 turn and off into the gravel sabhkas and small mesas exploring on our own (we are in Faifa now) - wasn't sure if the track south further along the Omani border after the new Omani border crossing was open - but it seems so?

      The road recently opened for public! It truly is extraordinary how that road could have been build, must have been very very expensive! There are two functioning gasstations one at the border and one near Shubayta, both had 91 and 95 when we were there. Wow! On your own, it's very remote! I understand you stayed closish to tracks/roads. Fayfa is also very beautiful! Enjoy your time in the deep South! You're travelling around?

      @@76Overland First Saudi overland for us; going with the flow and looking for places to camp along the way outside of populated areas when we can find - if there's a track we try to follow it (safely) in our 2010 Prado

      Sounds awesome! Around Fayfa it's difficult and some area's in Asir as well. But the rest of the country there is plenty of space :)

    How far do you travel between fuel stops?

    • @76Overland
      @76Overland 2 роки тому

      We did about 900KMs between fuel stops, brought a lot of fuel with us - also in case of change in plans due to unforeseen circumstances. Not something to take lightly ;)
