Crazy Flossin the idea behind baking these egg rolls instead of frying is to reduce the amount of fat...everyone’s oven is different so that may also yield a difference in the end product...you can try this same recipe in air fryer (without oil) or spray the tops lightly with a cooking spray...baking your egg rolls will not yield a “frying” crisp texture but you should still get a light crunch
I baked mine and they were better than the fried egg rolls, but you need to oil them, and turn them over half way through baking them, it took me 25 mins to fully bake them and they were delicious 😋🤤😋

No, spring rolls require rice paper and is fairly transparent when folded. Egg roll paper is completely different

Are they crispy when they come out?
They are crispy right out of the oven. They will soften after refrigeration; You can try preparing them in air fryer for better crisp
They are not crispy the roll is hard to chew and taste like eggshells although the filling is perfect
Mine are ,I use fillo dough not egg roll paper.
Please deep fry don’t go by this method I made so much effort and in the end they were are chewy and some parts dry 😢🤦♀️
