1. Enlarge your insect photograph onto your page using a pencil and the mapping out technique.
2. Practice drawing a couple of the zentangle examples on the border of your page neatly.
3. Spilt your insect into a variety of different shapes (for maximum impact follow the shape of your insects pattern).
4. Using a fine liner/ black pen fill in all of the shapes with different patterns (spread out your dark and light patterns).
5. Highlight the shape of your insect with a thicker black border.
