For now, I’m just going to practice my spheres and then move on to doing the rest of the stuff, maybe even work on my circles a bit more. I’m doing this because I’m learning how to use my shoulder and elbow to draw.... which I’m having trouble with. Let me know if that’s a good start or if I should do other stuff to practice that will help me out in shading or just drawing in general.
I never thought that lighting a sphere could be done with a technical approach rather than eyeballing it. Thanks Wei, this helps a lot.

Pixel King101 he used 4b for the shading and 2B or HB ( both works ) at sketching

It's too bad we didn't have instructors like you in school, they even replaced our art class with a guy that used a program to teach us to construct basic carpentry shapes and things. It was a real downer, they could have at least taught us drafting or actual carpentry(digital or physical). I don't mean to have long replies, I just really like this work. I'm going to try to start taking an hour a day toward self improvement.

+William Tse Don't give up. It's one of the most basic things you'll need to learn for drawing=)
For me: its impossible but i dont give up 😐😐😐
It's not easy for everyone, some people make it look simple either because they have a certain understanding of it or a whole lot of practise. It's hard for me too. I also have hand tremor so I cannot draw straight lines - I still try though, what the heck. I took 7 years off and I'm sort of regretting taking so much time off, I was just so frustrated and blocked that even now it's like a phobia, not the failing part, some of the trauma I experienced in animation college. I was near literally burnt out from trying to make perspective backgrounds that I had trouble understanding with one instructor that didn't put any effort into helping me understand my perspective mistakes, along with an animation teacher that seemed a bit nervous while teaching, even though he had done some work at disney but he had his hands full with his young kid and enough students that it was either sink or swim for us. Regular and key animation pages are not easy for everyone to understand. The class that graduated 2 years ahead of us, 1 guy was hired out of his whole class for an actual animation job.

hey man thanks for the video I struggle with drawning alot but the teacher said if u want to go into to Game design I need to become better can you tell me what u meant by the terminator is it like the dot where you draw the line
like the dot is the same distance away from the centre as it is from the highlight

but is the point you draw from the centre to indicate the highlights and point you draw from centre to Indicate the shadows are the same distance away from the centre or away from circle edge as it doesn't quite look like they are sorry I'm not saying you are wrong but having hard time understanding that part
