@@thesilver7238 yeah, he could solve the issue by recording the gameplay plus mic without the music using virtual audio cable but meh That’s how most streamers I know do it who do the youtubes on the side
What got me about 2015 was it's obsession with drifting. The whole premise for the "story" is "go find the part of the racing world you like most and do it". Why on earth did every single campaign, except for Spike's speed stuff, insist that drifting was what you HAVE to do to progress? You have Manu, the drifter, Travis the outlaw (who also loves drifting), Amy (who wants you to drift with her monster drinking crew), Amy (who wants you to build a fast drift car), and spike (who just wants to drive fast)
I'm honestly fine with break to drift systems if it was satisfying/fun to do. Outrun Coast 2 Coast is a good example of that. But how it was handled in Ghost games just made it infuriating and unpredictable.
The problem is when break to drift is the only way to corner effectively. You shouldn't have to drift around every corner to be competitive, it makes absolutely no sense and it completely fucks with everything you've learned about driving. Even Burnout Paradise, which more or less pioneered brake to drift didn't make it a necessity because you could just wallride every corner at full speed
@@Robciomixxnfs I have never seen such a thing, yet i consider myself a pro of NFS 2015 (Prestige finished) and pursuits in them (I've done pursuits lasting more than 1h and worth more than 100k).

I totally respect what you said about the Brake 2 Drift mechanics. I always said as my opinion about it to many people that for this series and in general normal racing types it should be normal steering and braking instead of having every time Tokyo Drift - like approach, and yes just keep it only for the drift events. :)
The game's original handling is sure annoying, but i managed to make it work with a keyboard, the walls seem to be the only problem as they make you randomly crash and make the physics go weird, there are some people on youtube like iSuckAtDriving who managed to make the cars controllable in this game, i'm not saying the handling is okay but you can definitely get used to it.
4:42 Or maybe combine it with a game that will be perfect for break to drift, Burnout and Ridge Racer for example 12:10 I love that he just puts his headset on his neck and already letting it off at 12:17 before he even use it lol
I feel like I am the only one who never really had any problems/bugs with nfs 2015. Yeah the random crashing was annoying, but I feel like they did a pretty good job with what they were given by ea
2015 was in development for two years. The game was pretty terrible for the time they had to develop it (a foreshadowing that Ghost Games were not a very good developer). I still liked NFS 2015, and I think it's still the best recent NFS that came out, but it's a very uneven and unpolished experience.
@@ToyotaSPRINTERTRUENO1986kouki I think they didn't have enough time to get it right. Being the new developer for NFS they should've had 3 years minimum to make the game they wanted. Having too much demands from shitty publishers (EA, Activision) n all can ruin a game - look at some Ubisoft games.. Expecting a polished game the 1st time around in 2 yrs can be hard in the sequels they can improve but still. Ik previous NFS games were made in that time but it was a different case then.
What does this mod do actually to improve the handling? Because I used to hate how the game auto-countersteers for you in drifts and how some cars just seem to randomly swerve left or right sometimes.
Auto countersteering during a drift is purely just visual in vanilla 2015. It can actually be tweaked so it’s not just visual, but Ghost set the AligningTorqueEffectInDrift param to zero for every car. Only if your wheels hit a high slip angle outside of a drift will the game then use aligning torque to countersteer, but it’s impossible to make that happen in vanilla 2015 outside of doing donuts or anything else under 30mph (the speed threshold for a controlled drift in every Ghost game except Rivals) that’ll make you lose enough grip. The main culprit of any unpredictable handling moments is the fake Scandinavian flick that Ghost added to DriftComponent after Rivals for some reason. You can actually abuse that mechanic in 2015 to get a massive amount of grip if you steer in one direction and then quickly flick in the opposite direction and back. This causes your car to enter the drift state but instead of adding side force outward, it adds it inward. And since you’re in the drift state, your speed is also maintained the entire time. I think it’s a pretty fun mechanics exploit and it’s easy to do, at least on keyboard.
@@Brawltendo Yeah, I kind of figured it's a pretty shit scandinavian flick mecanism. But I don't want to abuse it, I just want it gone, as it's horrible. Implement proper physics and let weigth transfer do it, not some predefined bullshit. Same for drifting. It's so bad that I literally couldn't finish the game to 100%, even though I wanted to, but there were just too many drift evens that are horrible to do with these "physics"
@@Dinosbacsi I mean there _is_ a whole proper vehicle simulation happening that drives DriftComponent, it’s just that they fucked it up in 2015 by adding to it for whatever reason. In Rivals, DriftComponent is just a straight port from MW12 and it feels a million times better than the rest of the Ghost games because of that. It was already completely possible to let weight transfer do its thing before (and in Payback and Heat you can actually do that just fine with drift builds), they just decided to “enhance” its effect with an additional mechanic that ended up breaking everything. They did remove it (or at least heavily reduced its effects to the point where you can’t even notice if it’s the “enhanced” effect or the wheels slipping) after 2015 though, so thankfully they recognized that that was the problem. Though you _can_ basically turn it off in 2015 anyway by having drift stability control on in the tuning settings; the cars mostly feel fine after you do that or just leave them stock. The tuning options break the handling like 80% of the time, so while it was nice to have them, they were very badly designed and most of the time it was better to just stay with the stock tuning since that’s what the handling designers _actually_ tuned the cars around. Edit: forgot to mention that it _is_ gone in Unite since, like my old handling mod, they also disable DriftComponent. So everything you saw in the video was happening without the controlled drift mechanics in place.
Brake to drift is fine as long as it’s predictable and the maps are built around it. Hot Pursuit 2010 and Payback pulled brake to drift off really well. 2015 steered for you so trying to drive with or without B2D was awful. Heat tried to include the best of both worlds but ended up with something in the middle that didnt feel as satisfying as B2D or grip racing.
How crazy, I thought Heat felt better than PB in every way. Could be that I got used to it but I recall PB being so cluncky. Regarding Hot Pursuit, I gotta try that game again since I treated it so harshly back then.

Anyway, what I did was get in my Viper, tune it really well, and do lots of handbrake turns. That's how I smoked most players I ran into, and it's how I finished the story. You gotta think about the time when this came out. The last nfs before this played like burnout, and when nfs 2015 came out, people were expecting it to succeed underground 1/2 because this is when they went back to the roots of street racing. But the downfall was the handling model, the cars don't handle like you would expect a car to, like in this game fwd cars can literally drift. Playback suffered the same issue, so when Heat came out, it was like a revolution since the handling was improved. I honestly play NFS 2015/2016 more than heat nowadays, the mods really make a big difference, and this game captured the cinematic night time graphics very superb imo, its photographic almost to me.
8:31 just the sound alone is enough with the crash physics in this game if you thought most wanted 2012 have boring crash physics these are worse in my eyes
Even if the mod fixes the handling and cops, it doesn't fix the other problems I have with this game. The story, characters and dialogue, the terrible ai, the lack of customization, the stupid always online requirement, having only 10 cars in your garage, the lifeless and small open world, the lack of things to do after your complete the game, the barebones multiplayer and THE FREAKING PHYSICS. It's my opinion but this is the worst nfs I have ever played. I'm giving them ONE last chance for this next game. If it sucks, I'm done with this series
The story is just as cringe as any of the other NFS games, I don’t see why everyone has a problem with 2015’s story but then doesn’t shit on MW05 or any of the other Black Box games’ equally awful ones.
Well back in the 2015 when this game has been published I had so feeling that it's a weak game in NFS franchise so since then I skipped from playing it
I couldn't fucking finish this shit, i tried so hard, even with Unite. Racing in grip discipline on hills was awesome as hell, but the drift was awful ngl, and the Gymkhana races were borderline impossible, imagine driving a car that feels like it's driving slicks in the rain, while having to drift and dodge cops, while on a timer. Fucking stupid ngl
The thing is, I love 2015. To me, it is one of the best NFS games, even without the unite mod But unite takes this game, and makes it so much better, I can do more than drift, it’s more fun then how it was before, which was, to me, still fun I see how this game was hated, but I love it, like Sonic 06 with Sonic games
Son of a b... how many cars did they fix the handling on my Silvia is so bad. The cars so fkn fast now it's like a block of ice, I'd have to lower its power to drift it. Or find the right setting combo with control strategy
I hate the handling of this game, there many, really MANY corners where you are forced to drift. For example there are some 'donut' exit from the highway where the car is undrivable, total understeering, even at 60km/h. Unless you drift, you will always being kissing the wall
So it went to the other extreme... and the wall, random traffic and gravity physics, plus, drift still sucks. sigh... It's almost as embarrassing of a game as Undercover was.
Taste is different. I had a good time with 2015, but MW 2005 still remains the only NFS with cop action & modification both on a good level. Cop action in 2015 was boring imo, on the otherhand modification was nice. Maybe 2015 looks better, but imagine those graphics applied to MW 05!
People say that this game handling is suck well because you need to tune your car when dumbasses play this game already they gonna say this game handling is horrible and not tune their car. here is isuckatdriving NFS 2015 video's he tuned all of the cars and it's on this video ua-cam.com/play/PLk8XQsXbhOZ56dlKVQRp14u8pbKiwacmE.html
Why needs the handling to be fixed in this game? The handling is literally fully customizable. Since Underground 2 this was the most realistic NFS game.
Just because it's realistic it doesn't mean it feels good or is fun. If you are looking for that, go play GT or any professional driving simulator, because that's their purpose. Also, I don't think this game is realistic either, cars don't really feel that uncontrollable and drift is ehh
Wat? The fact that you just unironically called this game 'realistic' in any sense makes me believe that not only have you never driven a car before, but you've never seen a car before.

Have you played Heat? it's like a good version of this game
@@liviekumori I have. It's better, but it still wasn't the return to form for nfs in my opinion.
@@jarrodeaston6373 Yeah, same
The story is just as cringe as any of the other NFS games, I don’t see why everyone has a problem with 2015’s story but then doesn’t shit on MW05 or any of the other Black Box games’ equally awful ones.
Mods in NFS are made just for pictures and cinematic
i want to like this game but i cant til they make it offline
then i can get cheats too and just have fun for more than 10 mins
Even the Unite mod cant fix this damn game. But atleast its better
very funni
Well back in the 2015 when this game has been published I had so feeling that it's a weak game in NFS franchise so since then I skipped from playing it
I couldn't fucking finish this shit, i tried so hard, even with Unite. Racing in grip discipline on hills was awesome as hell, but the drift was awful ngl, and the Gymkhana races were borderline impossible, imagine driving a car that feels like it's driving slicks in the rain, while having to drift and dodge cops, while on a timer. Fucking stupid ngl
wow
good
Idc how many mods it takes to make this game good its still bad, good video though kuru
The thing is, I love 2015. To me, it is one of the best NFS games, even without the unite mod
But unite takes this game, and makes it so much better, I can do more than drift, it’s more fun then how it was before, which was, to me, still fun
I see how this game was hated, but I love it, like Sonic 06 with Sonic games
wtf? 1.2k likes and 5.5k dislikes what the hell?
Son of a b... how many cars did they fix the handling on my Silvia is so bad. The cars so fkn fast now it's like a block of ice, I'd have to lower its power to drift it. Or find the right setting combo with control strategy
greetings
Last nfs i bought
I hate the handling of this game, there many, really MANY corners where you are forced to drift.
For example there are some 'donut' exit from the highway where the car is undrivable, total understeering, even at 60km/h. Unless you drift, you will always being kissing the wall
3:57 skill issue
So it went to the other extreme... and the wall, random traffic and gravity physics, plus, drift still sucks. sigh... It's almost as embarrassing of a game as Undercover was.
Need for speed most wanted is overrated and as much cringe as 2015
Agreed
Maybe it's cringe, but not overrated!
@@jurinout8665 2015 is better though I like it
@@jurinout8665 they are both good but overhyped for most wanted
Taste is different. I had a good time with 2015, but MW 2005 still remains the only NFS with cop action & modification both on a good level. Cop action in 2015 was boring imo, on the otherhand modification was nice. Maybe 2015 looks better, but imagine those graphics applied to MW 05!
I never played this game and I'm cringing so hard... Always onlime, terrible handling model? Is this even worse than Most wanted 2012?
People say that this game handling is suck well because you need to tune your car when dumbasses play this game already they gonna say this game handling is horrible and not tune their car. here is isuckatdriving NFS 2015 video's he tuned all of the cars and it's on this video ua-cam.com/play/PLk8XQsXbhOZ56dlKVQRp14u8pbKiwacmE.html
Lanoi please try harder, your montage is not really good to be honest, Please!!
I was the 999th like. Cool.
Cringe For Speed, seriosly. One of the most disappointment games...
Wat? The fact that you just unironically called this game 'realistic' in any sense makes me believe that not only have you never driven a car before, but you've never seen a car before.
nfs 2015 never will be fun
amen to that
I respect that, but I think it can be fun if you know how to work around the handling
@-Random- It did, and still deserves, to show players and devs how NOT to make a game for a franchise.
I prefer the original nfs 2015 handling tbh, love this game
