I'm obsessed with tracking songs and discovering masterpieces from movies and series. I'm here because of Supernatural, and I watch Supernatural because it's my favorite person's favorite.
This reminds me of my favorite cousin who was just a 22 year old kid who was tragically killed in Vietnam after 4 tours of duty - by an even younger kid - a scared new soldier my cousin took under his wing - the kid’s bayonet accidentally discharged and shot my cousin Ronnie in the chest. My family was devastated and my uncle, his father was grief stricken for life. Ronnie was a brave and beautiful man- he was an airborne ranger / green beret and a compassionate, competent leader. He was just a kid and his young wife was 8 months pregnant with their daughter that he never got to be a dad to. I was only 6 years old but I remember the day they came to our door to tell my mom he was dead. He listed our home as his address prior to leaving- so they came there. He stayed with us often and we all adored him.
I love that so many of you are here for Charlie. I've been a long time Patty Griffin fan, seen her live. "Rain", "Mary", and "Florida" are three of my all time favorite songs. Supernatural is my favorite show of all time. Dean girl forever.
It speaks to the power that is “Supernatural” that Charlie’s death can be felt so strongly, or underscored so well by this music. Credit both to Patty Griffin and the writers/music wranglers at SPN. I haven’t felt this moved by the music behind the loss of a character since the “Scrubs” episode where Dr. Cox lost his friend Ben, set to the tune of “Winter” by Joshua Radin.
The song gives my soul an awkward relief and makes me think over my 40 years life..happy beginnings and mournful endings..feel like just a dust in the wind and always keeping in mind that İ have always been the soldier of my fortune.the primal song of my funeral perhaps!
You can go wherever you wanna go

What is wrong with the world that this doesn't have 100 million listens?
