I canNOT believe I am saying this since I love all things sparkly, -- practically half magpie! -- but I LOVE the matte one best. Love the colors! Love the flowers! The the simplicity the matte gives it! Absolutely 💯 my favorite.
Thank you! & yes definitely! I’ve been there - and i think my work turns out better when I’m just having fun with it rather than stressing or worrying about being perfect ❤️
Although I am obsessed with glitter, the matte one reminds me of something from the 50s or 60s. I can almost see Lucille Ball drinking from this with a kerchief on her head, and wearing big dark sunglasses.
These are stunning 😍 you are soooo talented. Love them both so much however the matte is my fav ❤️ I’m obsessed with it too. Awesome job as always. Stay blessed 🙏🏽
Wow!! This is the best most beautiful hand painted flowers tumbler video I’ve seen!! You did such an amazing job!! Did you sand at all? I didn’t see any during the first half (tech I’m still in process of watching!!) and I usually have these bumps like 3-4 every time so I guess it’s user (me) error!! It’s like a toothpick tip sized hole, and I usually can sand then use uv resin to fill it but I’d gladly take any advice from anyone that might know what’s causing this. They aren’t gosh eyes. They’re not always a “hole” but you can’t see them but feel them. Until I sand and then I see (a dust particle maybe? A random piece of glitter?) the only time it doesn’t is when I use quick coat as my First Last coat, the AACC+ 2-3hrs later, then after 6hrs I put them to “hang” or put them vertically. (Sorry if this sounded confusing!) Thanks for the gorgeous tutorial!!!👏🔥🥰🦋💕🌸
Thank you!! I did sand! I don’t show my sanding process every video because it’s repetitive lol but I typically sand in between coats of epoxy. I think I’ve had those bumps you’re talking about! I’m pretty sure they’re due to a bubble popping later in the curing process, which leaves that tiny little hole. Depending on the depth of the hole, I either have to reglitter over that spot, or just wash it out really well and epoxy until it’s smooth. I try to torch my cups really well to pop all the bubbles so that doesn’t happen, but every once in a while one gets by me! Lol
These are gorgeous! I do have a question as a newbie to tumbler making. How do you keep the resin from dripping into the top inside of your tumbler? The first one I did, I had to sand off the small bit which was frustrating because it took the stainless steel down to a powdery look. I do have silicone resin shields but I still have to put strong masking tape on the inside of the tumbler opening.
Thank you! It really helps if you use thinner layers. I had that issue too when I first started, but as I got better with my technique, it happened less and less. If you bring your epoxy up from the bottom vs down over the rim, that might help too! ❤️
I always do at least 3-4 coats of epoxy on my cups with no glitter. And I do sand. I sand before any epoxy to prep, and typically after the 2nd coat, and/or right before the last coat.
I have never really understood the allure of matte tumblers before now - the gloss shine is half the beauty, for me anyway. Well, that's changed now! The glitter version is beautiful but the matte version is just something more.
You know you're really good at tumbler making when I choose anything over glitter. Lol! The matte finish is BEAUTIFUL 😍
Aw thank you!! 🥰
I canNOT believe I am saying this since I love all things sparkly, -- practically half magpie! -- but I LOVE the matte one best. Love the colors! Love the flowers! The the simplicity the matte gives it! Absolutely 💯 my favorite.
Thank you!! 💗
I just said the same thing! And I am a glitter whore!
@@madebymal_studio I cannot get the discount code to work
Which discount code?
That is awesome!!!! When I first saw the picture I thought it was decals of flowers.
I'm typically a glitter girl, BUT I think I like the matte version better! Whhhaaaa!?! Really cool and you made both look so easy.
Thanks Erin! 😊
I can't choose. Happy Mother's Day to your Mom! 🥰

Love them both .. I like the glitter one the best . I’m a Glitter Bug!
Very cute, thanks for the reminder to have fun. I think we get caught up in “perfection” and forget that…🤩🍩☕️
Thank you! & yes definitely! I’ve been there - and i think my work turns out better when I’m just having fun with it rather than stressing or worrying about being perfect ❤️
I love them both a great deal. Personally, matte is usually my preference, but that's just me, lol. They are both beautiful.
The matified tumbler is next level. Thanks for sharing your process. Super intimidated by the "hand painted" tumbler trend. I may have to try it now.
Thank you! I was intimidated too, but they’re so much fun once you dive in!
This is really cute I love the whimsy stuff. Ps. I would have swore it was a decal. Looks perfect.
Thank you!! 🥰
I Love you Bathtub!! ~ I mean your sink! Lol Thank you for the tutorial... Loved them both 💮

I love both of these tumblers and always enjoy tumblers that are more hand drawn then just glitter and vinyl. Thank you for the inspiration.

How long does your discount code last? I just tried to use the one for the matte finish and they will not except it. I love both cups by the way.

Could you use a rubber stamp if you can't draw?
I don’t see why not!
How many coats of epoxy is needed for the hand painted no glitter cup and is there sanding needed, if so, why? Thanks.
I always do at least 3-4 coats of epoxy on my cups with no glitter. And I do sand. I sand before any epoxy to prep, and typically after the 2nd coat, and/or right before the last coat.
I tried this and my posca pens didn't work well on the glossy epoxy it dried patchy :(
Are they dishwasher safe?
no, they're hand wash only, Epoxy cant go in the dishwasher.
I have never really understood the allure of matte tumblers before now - the gloss shine is half the beauty, for me anyway. Well, that's changed now! The glitter version is beautiful but the matte version is just something more.
Thank you!! 🥰
This. I used a cup that didn’t work right. A tie dye done wrong. Made an oops into something nostalgic to my Momma and me
Aw I love that 💗
You probably get asked this a million times but what is on the inserts you use on your wands??
I use foam inserts from Amazon! I have them linked in my Amazon favs 😊
Artistry did not honor your discount code “MALLORY10” Just letting you know.
I’m no longer working with Artistry!
