- Who wants a Christmas present?? Today I get to unbox the NicPro Metallic Acrylic Pouring Set, and give one away for FREE!
This was a great beginner’s kit. It came with lots of colors in a good pre-mixed consistency, as well as a number of other helpful accessories and tools. I didn’t love how the paints worked with silicone oil, but you could easily add some floetrol to the mixture to get more of a reaction.

The winner of the giveaway is @Diamondgirl58 !!! Congratulations, and thanks to everyone who watched and commented!
I loved how the ribbon pour turned out. I’m not a fan of silicone, but your color choices were excellent
Thank you! I like silicone in some applications…
Thank you for your generosity!!
I've never tried ready to pour paints...how wonderful to just pour without all the mixing!
Yes it does make it easy!
It’s amazing when you buy a set of paints that give a wide variety! That pink is beautiful!!
Yes it’s a great range of colors!
🤗 WoW 🤗 What a great giveaway!! That's a loaded box too! Even though the panels are warped I was glad to see it didn't effect the paintings. They both turned out pretty cool with the second one being my favorite.
Yes it’s a great starter kit!
I love ribbon pour the best, can't wait for your next stencil pour ❤
Thanks!
Happy Holidays! What a nice set to get started with! Thank you for providing an opportunity to win this set! And thank you all your wonderful videos! ❤
Happy holidays to you too!
Dear Anna, your swipe technique renders the most amazing and beautiful images. I hope you go down in art history as the inventor; you deserve recognition. Thanks for sharing your videos and creative eye. I haven’t painted in a year or more having dedicated my time to caring for my daughter during her cancer treatments. The black clouds are finally lifting, and your inspirational works has me itching to paint again. Thanks again and keep those videos coming.
Aw thank you so much Nancy! I hope you are able to paint again soon!
I've always wanted to try Nic Pro. Thank you for doing it for me. I liked your results and I agree about shaking the paint the day before. Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us, every time I watch I always learn something new
You’re very welcome!
I think my favorite was the Autumn pour. I especially liked it when you added the white to it. And it's thick and shimmery. Was hoping you would have used some glittery stuff too that came with the paints. I think they gave you that dot thing to help with air bubbles.
Thanks!
Some tips for avoiding warping when using canvas panels. 1) If you can easily bend the canvas panel, it's likely to warp. Use panels that are very sturdy. 2) The slower the paint dries, the higher the risk of warping. Thinner paints and thinner layer of paint will reduce the risk of warping, but may not be ideal for the techniques you want to try. Some pouring mediums will also affect drying time, in both directions. 3) If your panels do warp anyway, you can press them flat under something heavy (for example some books). Just remember to put a protective layer (parchment paper or similar) over each panel to prevent the paint from sticking to the other panels, the floor, the books, etc.
Thank you!
Those metallics are gorgeous. Another suggestion for those that want to pour on canvas panels, framing them could help with the mild warped stuff.
Good tip!
Thanks for your input on the kit - it’s good to get your take on what’s included. Love the colors of the fall painting 🤗
My pleasure!
I have been watching your videos and would love to try this! I go to the craft store and get overwhelmed by all the choices. This set would be great for me. Thank you for your clear explanations.
Thank you!
I love the first pour with the metallics! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
I love the colors you chose for each one. They go very well together. The ribbon pour came out great, I absolutely love it!
Thank you!
What a cool kit! Almost everything.
How fun. I want a kit❣️❣️
✌️💜😊
Good luck!
Pretty colors in this set! Great addition of the white to the ribbon pour! The silicone piece shows some cosmic vibes! Well done! ❤Nikki
Thanks Nikki!
I LOVE the copper pour with the ribbons of pink & orange. Love them!! Tfs
Thank you!
Very nice! 💙 Fun set! I just love your videos with your little girl!
Great tutorials ❤
Thank you!
Wow that looks so cool I am 65 years old on disability and looking for something to do for the winter since they will be stuck inside I don't have much money how much is one of those kids cost
It’s a great thing to use! I have a link in the video description and a 10% off code that begins tomorrow!
Just throwing it out there, I found a trick to thicken paints that are too thin. I use gloss gel medium. I can mix it with my premixed dutch pour paints to do things like swipes or ring pours that need a thicker consistency! Total game changer!
True! But if you have to thicken your premixed paints, what’s the point of premixed paints? 🙃
Fun. This set would be great for someone wanting to just get started immediately.
Would love to see how these do with swipes and a cell activator. Maybe you can do that in the next video.
Good idea, but I gave the leftovers to my nephew!
I'm a newbee at this fluid art and I'm struggling with the consistency needed for good Dutch pours. I'd love to try these paints!
There’s a lot of experimentation that goes into a good Dutch pour! I’d recommend mixing your paints with floetrol and water (if using craft paint) or just with water (if using tube paint) and it’ll work better for a Dutch pour than a pre-mixed paint…
Anna, I love the colors you used! The ribbon pour is stunning! I love the tropical colors in the flip cup!
Thanks Deborah! Yes the tropical colors are my favorite!
This is a neat idea, cute kit. Thank you so much for all that you do. 😁
My pleasure!
Hi Anna, Happy Holidays! A joy as always to watch you create. I've not tried a flip cup yet, maybe it's time 💙 the colors are vibrant and pre mixed is a plus. Thank you for teaching and sharing with all of us.
Stay safe! ~Jules~
Thank you Jules! Flip cups are a lot of fun!
I’m sorry I just found your channel; think of how much I’ve missed! Also, I would have loved to have thrown my hat in the ring for your giveaway! I love how much you explain so people can truly understand. I’ll be back to check out more of your videos!
Aw thank you! I do love passing on the knowledge I’ve picked up. I hope you find my other videos equally helpful!
Beautiful color choices. Thank you for the ratio and medium tips. ❤
Thank you!
I love the kit. that looks like a great one. I really appreciate you showing this to us and giving us a chance to win this. You do a great job on your videos. I love watching them. You have taught me so much. Please keep up the good work. and know that we appreciate everything that you do.
Thanks so much!
I have found with premix paints to use them all together and not try to mix with custom mix paints and you are right they do very well with ring pours, strainer pours, but not well with thinner pours as dutch pours etc. Nice set for a beginner.. if I won, I would use it to give to someone and bring them into my studio and teach them how to pour❤
Good luck!
30:02 I liked the both pours but my favorite one is the first one. The colors were very rich looking and I liked the fact they are thin enough to move around the canvas without adding a pouring medium. Excellent job on this video!
Thank you!
just found your channel ,I love your art work and how you explain things .so thank you for sharing your beautiful work ,
Welcome! I’m glad you’re here!
Thanks for sharing this video. I’ve been curious about the ready to pour paints I’ve seen online and wondered about trying them. If I don’t use them, I know a little girl who would like this kind of thing. Not to mention her mother not having to supervise mixing paint!
Yes it does make it easier for kids!
Love your art and have learned a lot of wonderful things, thank you. Also a proud small town WV girl.
Yay West Virginia! I’m glad you’ve found my videos helpful!
Gorgeous colors ❤ this is the kind of paint that I’m looking for love the effect thank you for the information and for sharing ❤
Thank you!
Thank you for the opportunity to win the paint pour kit!! Love your demo!
Good luck!
I love the ribbon pour, I still need to try it out. Love your channel ❤
Thanks Teri! I would have done the ribbon pour on a black background if I had enough black paint…
Nice, I just bought. this kit and added the pouring medium. didn't even think about it being pour ready. And Yes, I shook the bottle as well. lol
Haha whoops. Enjoy your painting!
This kit can produce some pretty paintings. Good for a beginner. Love the video.
Thanks!
I’ve been watching an assortment of your videos & learning valuable tips as I’ve just started gathering supplies to start doing fluid art. Subscribed today & looking forward to watching more of your vids!
That’s so exciting! Make sure you start with the basics and get your paint consistency right before moving up on… 😃
Love watching your channel, especially when you work with your family.
Thanks!
Looks like a great kit. I was fascinated by your shirt, I live in Dayton so was trying to figure out what it was about. Would really love to have that kit.
Dayton, VA? My shirt is from an obstacle race that is held there!
@@AnnaBlountArt no, I'm in Dayton Ohio. I knew there was a Dayton New York but didn't know VA had one too.
@@Sandra-di1pm gotcha!
I love the ribbon pour. The white you added makes it look 3-D.
Yes! Gotta have full brightness in the pour.
I have learned so much watching your videos.Thank you and happy holidays 😊
You’re welcome!
I think this would be a nice gift for a teen, along with a link to this video. Thank you for sharing!
It sure would!

My pleasure!
Thank you for sharing and your honest reviews dried so beautifully.❤
My pleasure!
Will you try different techniques with the remaining paint?
No I actually gave the remainder of the set to my nephew and niece!
❤ trying new things. Seems when I pour on those kinds of canvases they peel off. But yours look beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Both are pretty! I think I like the tropical colors best, though.❤
Me too…
Thank you so much for teaching us how to paint ❤😊 ❤ keep on posting from Virginia❤
Happy Holidays 🎄🎄
You’re very welcome!
You are welcome 🌝
I love the metallic. You do beautiful work no matter what you have to work with.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for posting this video. I had ordered a couple of starter kits to 30:34 try to start pouring myself. This really gave me some good advice. 😊
I’m so glad!
I use the Nicpro silicone oil with a glue/water medium and get tons and tons of cells. However I've always had issues with metallic paint and cells. Maybe that could be a future test of the silicone and non-metallic paints 😊
Good to know! I do believe pre-mixed paint is less reactive than when you mix it yourself…
Interesting kit! Thanks for sharing, Anna.
Sure thing!
Thats like the beginning kit i bought.I enjoyed this video alot
I’m glad!
Thank you so much for teach me other ways to paint!
You’re welcome!
I love your videos. Just bought that mixer on your video. Can't wait to get it in the mail.
Oh yay! It’s a great one.
I hope so. I've been wasting sooo much paint trying to do a Dutch pour or bloom.... at least I can save my wrist from hurting.
I like the pour sans silicone, but maybe it just needs more than 1 drop. And the shaking didn't help any, but it was a just opened box and I think anyone would automatically shake the paints to see what the colors really look like. We just all learned to give our paints a rest before jumping right in. I think it deserves a second try.
Thanks!
Ohh, I would love to have this!
Good luck!
All metallic colors are so beautiful.❤
Yes I love metallics!
I’ve never done a paint pour of any kind but you have me interested and raring to go!
It’s a lot of fun!
Always love your videos! Who doesn't love to win a prize? Would love it.
Thank you!
I would love to win !!❤ I have not tried paint that's all ready to pour!! It would be fun to try Your painting's turned out beautiful
Thank you! It is much easier, but harder to customize.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
My pleasure!
Nice teaching for beginners for sure, good job!
Thank you!
I think the silicon adds the cels
This may make a great gift for my friend! She does art therapy in a senior assisted living center. I've suggested fluid art before and she seems interested.
Oh neat!
Loved watching you work on painting!
Thank you!
Happy Day! This was my first time watching you. I really enjoyed your educational conversation as you worked And I really like the metallic colors! Thank you. I hope I win those colors would be so fun to play with! Have a lovely day🤗 btw I’m not sure how to check if I’m the winner.
Hi! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I will reply to your comment if you’re the winner, so check back in a few days!
Dampen the back of the canvas board to flatten out. You can do this before or after you paint on it. I've done it both ways but I like doing it before the best. A little something I learned from David aka "The Left Brained Artist". I like both of these but I'm curious, what they look like switched. Fall colors, no silicone flip cup and the other colors with silicone in a ribbon pour 🤔🤔
Oh interesting! I use water on the back of canvases to tighten them but didn’t know you could do it with canvas panels. David has some great information! 😊
I think it's better to pour the cup one at a time
I would love to try these premixed paints.
Good luck!
Brillant! I would love to try to do this!
Thanks!
The colors are so beautiful.
Yes they sure are!
Thankyou for your generosity!
Happy to be able to offer this! 😊
Darn it won't let me send a picture
Wow I love those colors
I really like your technique you're very nice colors
Thank you!
Can't u thicken up pre mixed paint by adding a jell medium?
Yes probably, but you’d have to mix the gel with a very small amount of paint first…
I am new to paint pouring. This set seems to be great for someone like me. I would be trying to create backgrounds for some of my fine art paintings. Thanks for the chance to win, artymarti🖌🎨💙
Good luck!
Beautiful- Thank you
Thanks!
Just learning. Would love the kit
Good luck!
I have a question those boards how do you keep them from curling up when you're painting on them every time I think they curl up I'll send you a
You could use a double-sided tape to stick them to a wooden board until they dry? I haven’t tried it but it might work
I've pressed canvas panels under heavy books. I used parchment paper between each panel and to protect the books and left for a couple of days. Didn't get them perfectly flat but good enough.
Very helpful. Thanks
I’m so glad!
I'm Bruce from Augusta Georgia I really Enjoiyed your tutorial very helpful and Ai would love to win that kit
