In South Africa we just had an incident where a 800 MW generator was destroyed due to air leaking into the system, and the hydrogen then exploded.
In Queensland, Australia there was an explosion at the Callide Power Station generator room about three years ago.Although the public are not told exactly what happened I believe it was due to H2 leak in the bearings.
