- 7-tone, Chinese made Strat-style guitar. A must if you're a Strat player. Up for auction on eBay right now. Winner gets an optional killswitch installation.
Not one mention of the fact that these were made mostly famous by british group the shadows in the mid 60s
I know that demo was done 8 years ago but it's a great one...I've been wanting one of these for a long time and I'm about to buy one but I wanted to hear the crunch tones first and nobody does that in any video...I understand why everyone plays some Shadows stuff because that's what this brand was about but it's refreshing to hear someone do something else...So thanks 😁
I have a Burns Shadow guitar which I use to play in my Metal band The Creptter Children. It's rock solid and has never failed me in any way. I can't seem to part with it for some other "Metal" type guitars. The Shadow just kills all of them.
There were actually four Burns companies, the first three were founded by James Ormston Burns, while the latest one had his help as a consultant.
@Desmaad It is bright, due to the Burnsonic voicing and pickup angle. The neck on switch helps, plus the tone. And I've since added a phase switch, too. I'll post a new demo soon.
I got one for christmas :D i love it
Do all the Burns Marquee guitars have a black trem back plate?
The neck radius is 12"
@mytoobusr I did have two of them, and this one has gone.
good Morning.Tell me where I can buy these pickups? send to Brazil?
great guitar for higher tones, what amp are you going through?
8 years on, do you still own this guitar? How's it holding up?
is similar a fender stratocaster....good guitar
Salvatore Corgiuolu better than a Strat,I’ve got both!🇬🇧
Fucking nightmare to change the strings, since they are fed through the back of the guitar, where the springs and the backplate are and they often get stuck so that when you want to remove them, you have to use something long and thin to push them out. Also when you use the tremelo arm, thebridge doesnt return to the original position but instead goes out of key.
just buy the same but an older model made in Korea
Is korean made good? How about the weight?
What is the difference between this and the Cobra? Apart from the knobs being placed different. Sorry if I made mistakes, English isn't my mother language.
I believe the Marquee has Rez O Matic pickups, and the Cobra is fitted with Tri Sonic pickups.
lol @ "I have two of these,so one has to go".......not that old chestnut
I find this guitar to be a bit too bright, with a noticeable "rattle".
poor demo
