    I frequently write to my legislators to remind them to fully support Ukraine in every way possible, through sanctions, military equipment and supplies, and humanitarian aid. Putin's aggression and expansion cannot be allowed to seep further afield into Europe. And, we all have much to learn from Ukrainian courage, strength and willingness to fight for each other and for their values. I stand with Ukraine. I also applaud Ukraine: The Latest for your stellar work in providing critical, accurate information. And I applaud Ada Wordsworth for her brilliant work in the Kharkiv area.

    Cannot understand the continuing references to sanctions not working as designed. I'm no Economist or Strategist, and from the beginning, just knowing the population n size of Russia, that it would be self sustaining - together with Putler's ongoing pitching economically to India, Arab States, Korea, China and even other pipeline dest like Germany n France it appears OBVIOUS that Putin is not perplexed by juggling his figures. And what do Oligarchs care when they simply purchase n play with their ongoing income streams n luxury foundations. So PLEASE acknowledge and highlight the suffering of the Ukrainian people and the successes of the incredible Defenders and ENGENDERING SUPPORT from Intnl sources to GET RID OF PUTIN as a World Threat 😡😍🥰🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

    This September i visited as a "tourist" a village near Chernobyl. It was a very strange experience. Some of the things that this Lady today is saying about the villages in Eastern Ukraine are also my experience. The local people did not seek any contact at all. The babushkas that were in the local shop treated me with a reservation that bordered on passive aggressive. The only person who spoke to me was a drunk man, probably a soldier, who asked me where the shop was. I think all the people there, locals and soldiers, were traumatised. I only stayed there for one night and then moved on to Lviv. Respect for this Lady and the work she and her associates are doing. But i believe that all efforts right now should be directed to the military actions to expell the Tyrannical Invaders.

    I think offering pork as not a meat is funny. While visiting family in Germany 20 years ago I told them my husband doesn't drink alcohol, they then offered him wine they had heated up outside in the cold.

    • @martavdz4972
      @martavdz4972 Рік тому +6

      The Germans might have had a point... sort of. It might have been Glühwein, which loses a lot of the alcohol by the heating. I think it still contains some alcohol, but if heated for a long time, very little.

    Rebuilding is the biggest difference between the east and west. East Germany had just finished rebuilding from WW2 when the USSR collapsed about 50 years later. Ukraine is already rebuilding, I doubt it will take them 50 years...

    For many Russian soldiers the reason they joined the army was an economic decision so we can make a better offer $10 000 to all Russian soldiers that surrenders to be paid at the end of the war.
    Instead of fighting and dying in the mud for Putin they can sit the war out as a POWs and can return to Russia with thier pockets full of cash.
    It is important that the media talk about this so the Ukraine government hears and then implement this idea. When the average Russian soldier learns of this they will surrender in large numbers. Ending the war faster and forcing the Russian government to surrender and save thousands of lives.
