Not only is she pretty but smart as well! The reason your machine keeps spurting at the end is quite normal, actually it should work that way. After your machine heats up you insert your pod and press the button to start. The brewing process ,as per the cup size you have selected a pump sends a metered amount of water through the heating coil(element) and is rendered into hot water which is ejected towards your cup via a one way directional flow. Since the water pumped towards the coil is cool, it come as hot but the last few spoons are violently spewed as steam , similar to a geyser. A good functioning machine should do this . If not, your coil or heating element is on your way out. Good job on the video.
OMG. Watching your video made me totally realize that I had NOT EVEN BEEN USING THE WATER FILTER. I have had my machine for over a year. I just had no idea what the heck that weird shaped thing was that came with my machine! Hilarious. I do frequently use the orange pod cleaner when I am switching between beverages (coffee to sweet tea or something). Hoping my coffee tastes better now that I have the filter thing figured out. My machine sometimes does the weird thing at the end where it seems to be pushing out more water, never really knew why! I don't mind it either. Also, I get condensation on the top of my lid too.
Haha maybe they should start advertising a filter on the box? I found out recently that the Keurig lets you know when the filter needs changed by displaying it on the screen. how awesome!
Ha! Have been using mine for TWO YEARS without filter. Never knew I was supposed to fit it into the reservoir. Dah. Maybe my coffee will taste better now!
Thanks for posting this! I'm going from the old B60 model to the 2.0 and I have never had to change filters or pumps or anything until now so it's a bit overwhelming!
Oh my. Mine didn’t come with the filter plastic thing. I’ve been on over a year now. Still works. But it keeps asking for filter replacement. No wonder I couldn’t figure where to switch out the filter.
Thank you its alot easier then i thought. I got mine from the goodwill for $6.95 and it didnt come with instructions. Mine said to descale it so since the reviews on the descaler we're not good I think I'm going to use white vinegar instead.
I got a message that our filter needed to be changed for the first time. Ok cool, go online, order descaler (we threw ours out when we moved. Didn’t know what it was) thought I was all set. Couldn’t figure out where the filter was until I came across your video. For some reason, WE’VE NEVER HAD A FILTER IN OUR KEURIG!! That plastic piece that holds the filter isn’t in mine. No idea if I ever had one or what…so now I know. (But seriously, what is that sensor reading if there was never a filter to begin with?) Ordered that plastic part just now on eBay and we’ll get it set up right from now on. Thanks!!
Very informative video. I get condensation too. During the presoak, my filter turned the water black right away. After soaking for 5 mins, I rinsed it under running water for a minute but decided to soak it again but still saw black water. ??? I had to soak my filter before the water was clear. I recommend soaking your filter in something that has a white bottom. I did the maintenance orange thingy and only had 1 ground in it and we are heavy users (at least 2x a day for 4-5 months). One thing I don't like about my 2.0 is the brightness of the operation panel. It lights up my whole kitchen at night. Why wouldn't they make it sort of a bluish light that isn't so harsh on the eyes? I also wish this model had the nice blue light in the water tank. Even though this model has the tank in the back, it's still cool and more preferable than the superbright operation panel. My 3 cents. lol
lol I wish the machine had the same stuff too! My touch screen has been very iffy lately, it won't turn on sometimes when I touch it, very annoying! :(
I brought mine at the resale shop, it's nice, really nice..I wasn't interested in a keurig, my sister and daughter and brother have one, so I bought it, for twenty bucks. The filter was in it, I ran to the store and bought cappuccino k-cups, cleaned the machine..and made a cup of cappuccino.
You should never use distilled water to brew coffee. It has no minerals and therefore has no flavor. Notice how coffee shops do not use distilled water for brewing coffee. They use filtered water. You're missing out on good flavor.
question, we have one of these machines that's over a year old and we use it daily. We use bottled water and not tap water, do we still need to replace the filter?
Hi Jenna! Thanks for the video. How do you get the Keurig 2.0 to brew water without having to hold down the button the entire time (as I have to on mine). Thanks again!!!
I can’t get my clear filter holder to snap in place. Since I have never used it and didn’t know about it. I do use filtered water from my fridge- is it ok? Tastes fine.
To skip the intro fluff, actual info. starts @3:40 **NOTE:** The K300 does NOT include the $15 _"Keurig K2.0 Water Filter Starter Kit"_ * www.amazon.com/Keurig-Water-Filter-Starter-Clear/dp/B00LCYLC5U/
Good video-i have the same coffee maker with no instructions and didnt know how to clean and change the filter untill now-thanks for the demo video-Tim in MI
Very excellent video Jenna, I just got around to changing it after a good year, (yikes, my bad!) LOL! Needless to say your video was very helpful! I agree with the earlier post from Carolyn Hughes, easy step by step is great! Thank you!!
Hello can you help me out real quick? I bought this for Black Friday and so far it’s awesome, but what do you do with the remaining water? Do u just leave it there until the next time? Or do u dump it out?
BigBallerIvan Hi! I always leave my water in the tank for the next use! I actually just started running a few 6oz hot water to flush it out and then add fresh water because mine is older and sometimes old coffee grinds are still in the machine! I actually need to do a deep clean of the inside with some vinegar.. soon! :)
Thanks for the video. I couldn't figure out where the filter holder went into my water reservoir. Now I know because I actually never put it in when I got it home. What a ding dong I am. You helped so much! Thanks!
did that little black piece on the bottom of your water reservoir already come with your keurig? i tried to put the filter in and the plastic part won’t clip in edit: I just looked in our box and we don’t have that little black thing that goes on the bottom of the water reservoir or that gray thing that goes on top of the thing that you clip in the reservoir. Do you happen to know what they’re called so i can order it?
JESS L if you search “Keurig filter replacement” the entire piece plus filters comes up. Just make sure it fits your machine. Hope that helps! Mine came with everything that’s interesting that yours didn’t! Maybe you can contact Keurig and say you’re missing it?
I heard that too! Yuck! I always run a few hot water cycles to "flush" out my system until the water is clear before making coffee and then clean it with vinegar as if it was water.. not sure if that helps the mold issue (I hope there isn't any in it haha). I do have the descale solution that came with the machine, but have heard it isn't great to use and haven't tried it!
I'm trying to change mefilter, IF I could get the darn thing open. I use water and apple cider vinegar to clean it.... HOW TO GET THIS THING OPEN ....AM I THAT WEAK🙃🙄
Best to use a water vinegar mix run about 6 brew cycles through it, then run about ten or more just water brews through it till the vinegar smell is gone. Then you are good to go.
Brandi Sodemann I only use mine when I deep clean the machine a few times a year. I don’t think you have to get one I have used a paper clip on an old machine and it worked just fine :)
Don't feel bad. Just realized that I didn't have the filter installed either, so there was nothing for me to change lol. I also use only bottled water.
My Kurig stopped working once and I started panicking. Than I found out I had that orange thing and used it. Apparently the coffee ended up clogging up the needle and that’s what caused it to not work. I don’t know if I’m going to die from this but I didn’t soak the filter in water for 5 minutes. I just put it in and started brewing coffee. So far I’m still alive after drinking it and hopefully it stays this way. 5 minutes is too long...plus they want me to wait another minute while I rinse it? Not happening lol.
Definitely did not receive a filter in mine and I went and purchased new filters because the machine told me to... waste of money because I dont even have the filter piece
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
My 42 page (yes, really!) instruction booklet does not even mention the water filter. Thanks for a clear explanation!
Yes so true this really helps
Why do people ramble on before getting to the point .
Not only is she pretty but smart as well! The reason your machine keeps spurting at the end is quite normal, actually it should work that way. We were thinking we needed to take night course in Kureg, but your video hit the spots that we needed. Great video! Thanks.
reubenr 1 you're welcome! they get easier once you play around with it!
Thank you so much for the demostration. It seems that I bought the wrong one b/c the plastic thing won't fit on mines.
OMG. Watching your video made me totally realize that I had NOT EVEN BEEN USING THE WATER FILTER. I have had my machine for over a year. That happened to us 3 months after we got our Keurig while watching a video on descaling!
Me too lol 🤦🏼♀️
Cara me too !! I had no idea what all those parts were for. lol
Ha! Have been using mine for TWO YEARS without filter. Never knew I was supposed to fit it into the reservoir. Dah. Maybe my coffee will taste better now!
Yes, mine builds condensation on the lid all the time! It's sort of annoying, but I deal with it.
Thank you I have to purchase a filter didn’t know. I hope I can still find one.
Thanks for posting this! I'm going from the old B60 model to the 2.0 and I have never had to change filters or pumps or anything until now so it's a bit overwhelming!
It is! I had an older model and never had a filter in it either!

Oh my. Mine didn’t come with the filter plastic thing. I’ve been on over a year now. Still works. But it keeps asking for filter replacement. No wonder I couldn’t figure where to switch out the filter.
Mine didn't with the filter or the filter holder either.
Mine didn't "come with", sorry lol
Thank you its alot easier then i thought. I got mine from the goodwill for $6.95 and it didnt come with instructions. Mine said to descale it so since the reviews on the descaler we're not good I think I'm going to use white vinegar instead.
Yes that’s what I use is vinegar. Never used the descaler either! Good find at Goodwill! 😌
Hey Great video but does yours make a lot noise before it brews
I got a message that our filter needed to be changed for the first time. Ok cool, go online, order descaler (we threw ours out when we moved. Didn’t know what it was) thought I was all set. trying to change filter but cannot open the holder it is stuck, also what is the website she is referencing that you can test products
Thank you, I have had this Keurig for years and never used a filter 😯
Lol - neither have I.
If it's filtered water, from a water bottle, then I believe you should be fine.
Jeff Marz had mine for over 2 years and saw floatsies in the tank. Yuk!
Joyce Holt That’s awesome! What a great find! Did you like the cappuccino? I’ve only had coffee k-cups.
This is JUST what I was looking for. Great presentation, thank you.
Only dang video that was detailed on youtube for filter replacement
I never put my filter in the water tank. Ops😴However it still works for 4 months now. However I always you distilled water.
I use tap water, but I should use distilled or filtered water! But that's what the filter is for!
JennaStyle The condensation on the top is normalbecause the humidity in the tank is very wet
You should never use distilled water to brew coffee. It has no minerals and therefore has no flavor. Notice how coffee shops do not use distilled water for brewing coffee. They use filtered water. You're missing out on good flavor.
Be careful how much you use distilled water. It will absorb minerals from your body
Monique Williams same here I'm like omg and for me it's been about 2yrs
i have the same keurig as you and i get the condensation in my tank aswell
Mine has always spewed out water a little weird at the end too. Just letting you know! :)
amanda cassidy good to know it's not just mine :)
amanda cassidy
mine machine does the something so it's just not mine..cool
Bam Bam z)(5;5
question, we have one of these machines that's over a year old and we use it daily. We use bottled water and not tap water, do we still need to replace the filter?
I still would. Overtime they can lose quality in filtering. I would change it maybe every 6 months if you use filtered water already
Hi Jenna! Thanks for the video. How do you get the Keurig 2.0 to brew water without having to hold down the button the entire time (as I have to on mine). Thanks again!!!
Alicia Downey I just open the lid but don't put in a kcup and it asks how much hot water I want to brew! hopefully yours don't have a bug in it! :(
I think she managed to get a virus on her Keurig
I got mine second hand and it didnt have the filter part at all and it's the same one as Urs and i didn't even know and I got the change water filter.
I can’t get my clear filter holder to snap in place. Since I have never used it and didn’t know about it. I do use filtered water from my fridge- is it ok? Tastes fine.

I refer to this video everytime I need to clean my keurig. Thanks for making this video.
Jenna do you have any idea how to make it hotter my coffee isnt very hot
I don’t think there is a temperature adjuster on it.. maybe your heating element went bad? :(
Are the water filters for sale in stores like Canadian Tire or Walmart?
Yes my Keurig drips after you make a cup of coffee. Also it has condensation on the lid all the time.
Mine does it too. Might be just the difference in temps.
Very excellent video Jenna, I just got around to changing it after a good year, (yikes, my bad!) LOL! Needless to say your video was very helpful! I agree with the earlier post from Carolyn Hughes, easy step by step is great! Thank you!!
Condensation on cover might be due to the motor is at the back and heats the resevoir. I turn mine off when not in use.
thanks for the tip!

@jennastyle this video is just what I needed just got my Keurig is yours the Keurig 2.0 k200 or k250?...
Sophie I think it’s the 250!
Use a spoon to hold the filter to the bottom and yes mine gets the coordination as well
Thanks for the video. I couldn't figure out where the filter holder went into my water reservoir. Now I know because I actually never put it in when I got it home. What a ding dong I am. You helped so much! Thanks!
Have the same brewer I have temperature coming out not hot enough and my machine drops the same at end of brew think they all get like that after time
Do you use your machine daily? I haven't had a temperature drop yet, but I don't use it everyday.
Pretty much every morning.
did that little black piece on the bottom of your water reservoir already come with your keurig? i tried to put the filter in and the plastic part won’t clip in

Thank you! Let me know what videos you would like to see I’m going to start making more soon :)
Nice video.... however apparently there's more than one Keurig 2.0?? lol yours is different from mine
Excellent video, easy step by step is so important
thank you! :)

This made me realize I never received my filter 🙃
Oh my gosh me too! I saw the filters at target the other day and had no idea what it was for! After doing a bit of research, I guess I never got one
I never got one either
thanks so much for the step by step directions! you were extremely helpful!!! :)
Best to use a water vinegar mix run about 6 brew cycles through it, then run about ten or more just water brews through it till the vinegar smell is gone. Then you are good to go.
So you just explained the filter part to me that was thrown in a drawer lmao thanks
Faith Webster haha I don’t need this *puts away in the long lost drawer never to be seen again*
I found your video very interesting, but I did not get the web address at the end where you got your machine. Can you post it please?
Lil Stewart it's in the description bro.
What description?
Needle cleaner did it come with it ???
Brandi Sodemann yes mine came with the needle cleaner :)
Ok I got this but no needle cleaner do u recommend this
Brandi Sodemann I only use mine when I deep clean the machine a few times a year. I don’t think you have to get one I have used a paper clip on an old machine and it worked just fine :)
where did you get the needle cleaner?
vance44 it came with my machine!
@@JennaStyle interesting .. would but a neat little tool to have to help with the cleaning of the system ..i'm sure can find one online .. thanks!@
Dear God , FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!!!
GREAT VIDEO😊
Thankyou very helpful. I never put the filter in the tank , duh, no wonder it's been annoying. Lol
+Jelena Najdanovic Sias lol ya I never used one in my old Keurig so I figured I probably should with this one :) Thanks for the comment!
I use bottled water, so does it still need to me filtered
Don't feel bad. Just realized that I didn't have the filter installed either, so there was nothing for me to change lol. I also use only bottled water.
I love my Keurig!!!
Jelena Najdanovic Sias I just realized I didn't either
Having trouble taking filter out to change on my keurig 2.0.
+Renae Kaufman Is it stuck in the water base or just not coming out completely?
where can you find the filters
+Indra Rosales I get mine at Bed Bath and Beyond or Walmart. But you can order them online on Amazon!
You have to click on “enable” when setting up the machine in order to get the reminder.
Does it work without a filter?
richystar2001 yes it does!
My Kurig stopped working once and I started panicking. Than I found out I had that orange thing and used it. Apparently the coffee ended up clogging up the needle and that’s what caused it to not work.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS video

Thank you!!! So helpful. And BTW you absolutely beautiful eyes!
mine started doing the water leak and didn't stop. I called Kerrigan and they sent me a new machine.
