*This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*
This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.
Thank you! We never loved a machine so much! The best, most delicious, deep, smooth, most awesome tasting coffee. We're in coffee heaven every morning!
Descaled with Durgol after first 100 days. My Durgol kit was 125ml so I used 125ml water rinsed with 250ml. I use commercial re mineralized RO water in the machine. Great Coffee!!!
This was helpful, but the links you have for the descaler and cleaning aid are EU only. You may want to add NA links as well. One question: I unfortunately neglected descaling for a long time. I just descaled and cleaned it, but has any permanent damage been done? Or does doing a full descaling and cleaning generally reset everything close to its original state?
Thanks! Love to see Moccamaster uploading some videos. Just one thing I think you should fix: audio of this video is a little bit bad and it gets worse with all the music over making it difficult to understand. Can you do something about it in the next video? Keep up the good work and thanks for this incredible machine next to me while I am writing 😊
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Finn Alberto thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
if you are using a clean carafe you don't have to clean it like in step 2 very often, but we still recommend it because of the water residue that can cause algae in the waterreservoir
I was able to do this. I was using purified water from a gallon just bust switched to my Berkey because the plastic taste the water had. However this lead to minerals and I think this does the trick.
Hi, would appreciate if there were English subtitles. The audio is pretty echo-y in this video plus the background music is a bit too much. Subtitles would help a lot with accessibility!
Thanks. Great information and demonstration. I’ll order both products for my Moccamaster. And sorry…in advance…as I don’t mean to be distasteful or disrespectful…but I have to say it…you are gorgeous!😊
I just ordered Durgol and Clean drop for my Moccamaster but now i just came acorsse moccamaster USA website, they ONLY recommend Urnex descaler I am confused now.
Same. I used the Urnex as it was recommended on their US website but now I see this. The EU website says anything containing acid can react with the copper heading coil causing a bad taste. It's recommended to use a "soda" solution to neutralize. Kind of vague so we'll see if it works. It did affect the taste btw.
@@moccamaster_eu I am confused, why does Moccamaster recommend different things for descaling in different countries? In Finland it appears they recommend the Clean Drop descaler (not the cleaning aid), which contains citric acid, while on the EU website it says explicitly not to use citric acid as it might react with the copper. I don't want to ruin my Moccamaster, so what is the deal with citric acid and descaling?

So to be safe, every 100 brews you should de-scale then clean, one after the other ? Rather than one or the other... I am cautious to use a separate jug for water. But feel like I will de-scale AND clean rather than just de-scale...

It does sound right! Most important is that you do three scoops of grinded coffee, as the volume might be different compared to the beans. Than you will make the perfect cup of coffee! :-)
My Moccamaster almost completely evaporates the water. Repeated descaling with Durgol and cleaning with Cleaning Aid Coffee Maker did not bring any improvement. It almost seems like the water supply is clogged. What can be done?

Cups are not a standardized measurement unit. She said 150 ml which is more then the 2 cup line on my moccamaster, so it is better to stick on mililiter instead of "cups". Read the manual and use measuring cup with mililiter units to ensure you are not wasting your money.
