This is my custom made ma-lighting grandMA2 Command-Interface for iPad or Android tablets using TouchOSC. It's the perfekt addition for your grandma onPC setup. I use it whenever there is not enough time space or budget to use a physical command wing or MA Lighting grandMA2 light / fullsize console. Just connect it via a wired or wireless network or even with your lightning/USB-C cable with your onPC session and you're good to go! I not only share the commandwing layout but also the first 15 Faders of a faderwing grandma2 light or fullsize. Enjoy!

Just thought Id try to save someone some time by noting that the recent versions of ma2 moved the import export folder to a hidden folder called program data. In the file browser go to view and check hidden folders. Then Ma lighting tech and them ma2 and it should be in there

Is there a way to use more than on "Midi in Device". 'Cause i'am using a elation midicon 2, which i set a midi in device. If i want to use the iPad Solution as well, i has to select a second midi in device --> is there a way?
There's just one MIDI-In Device in grandMA2 however I use MIDI-OX to translate and merge MIDI-Data from different controllers and Loopmidi to send it from Software to Software. Both is free.

Danke Uli! Nutze dafür ein Plugin von Jason Giaffo. Habe auch schon seine Einverständnis, in einem Video zu zeigen, wie genau die Umsetzung mit TouchOSC funktioniert, aber ich kann nicht sagen, wann ich dazu kommen werde - ist aber auch keine Hexerei ;)

Great video, thank you. I've tried adding some encoders to another page but can't seem to get them working. Any tips?
Encoders are a tough one. I'm using a great plugin by @Giaffo Designs to make it work with midi remotes. It still needs a bit of tweaking here and there, though. Good luck!
I don't see the Import/Export folder That is where I am stuck. I see it on the software but not in the folder. Is there a work around for this issue?
Tried copying it in all the folders including the main folder as well and that did not work. Tried checking the show hidden items but that did nothing

leider fehlt die grandMa2 Layout Datei in deinem ZIP Download :( Zwar bekommt man den Ordner, aber entpackt wird nur eine Index-XML :(

I can patch and run a show, do few cues and save them on my executor as flash. But I need to up my game, all that I do on Ma2 are mostly self tough. Sometimes by error. Please I want you to coach me.

Amazing tutorial! Unfortunately myself and what seems like a few others cant find the import/export folder. Im sure you arent updating this for newer versions but is there any way to get the MA2 side of things working? Ive got the ipad setup correclty with the OSC bridge/software.
Hei Joe, if you have never imported/exported something the folder might not exist. Have you tried just creating it by yourself?

I've got everything working except for the import of the xml file. I have placed the xml file into import export on my pc. Version 3.7 I type the syntaxe in command line and get nothing. Any thoughts? Thanks ahead of time. Great layout on the tablet
Double check the typo including captitalization. And make sure to use " instead of 2x '. Let me know if it works! =)
Also make sure to use Version 3.9.x.x

Does the touch OSC works with other lighting software?
It basically works with every software that supports midi/osc or even just keyboardshortcuts (lifehack!). You just need to get the mapping right.
Does this allow us to use onpc remotely on tablet?
Sure! You just need a reliable wifi :)

You will have to open the xml and change the "minor_vers" in the header to whatever version you want to use - however I would not recommend that. And defintately make a backup of your show before trying.
it seems that i can not do anything with this cause i can not see the host on the tablet why is that ??? is everything conected to the same network
Maybe a firewall or something...please contact the hexler support since this is a touchOSC related issue.

but it can also run on windows touch screens
You can! However it does look differently and I haven't tested it; thus I can't recommend it - but if you already use mk2 you can give it a try!

I've got everything working except for some button: clear and esc work fine, when I press "fixture" it goes to "selection", even "on" goes to "call" or "off" goes to "off menu". Have you some ideas?
seems like ma receives the midi notes twice...maybe you're connected both via cable and wifi? Then make sure to disable "USB-Connection" in TouchOSC settings. And double check that you do not have any Midi-Remote-Conflicts in your showfile!
+ disable "core-midi" in the app when using TouchOSC-Bridge

I'm not sure if dot2 allows for controlling hardkeys via midi-remotes. You definitely would have to do all the mapping by yourself.
