On deployment to Iraq, one of our block 30 F-16c models had a generator failure. The 60 KVA (main) generator was replaced and I had to run the jet to perform ops' checks. Enjoy!!
Judging from the look of metalic components in particular where does the metal meet plastic and taking note of the multidisplay screens, this F16 has been in service for DECADES.
I remember watching the ground crew doing these start-up tests when I was in Japan. I always wondered why they made so much noise before the engine started up. I loved being a hvac tech in the USAF. We got to see really cool stuff, like this, by just doing our job.
That's crazy how accurate the start sequences is in DCS. Everything seemed familiar to me.
Same startup sequence as in my old Honda Civic.
If I had to work on those things on the ground and have to watch other people fly them I would go insane.
You know you've played too much DCS world when you see the fuel gauge and immediately know the plane has two wing tanks, but no centerline tank.
Man DCS is just getting better and better. The realism is off the chart.
I wish my car made these sounds when I started up in the morning, hell I would happily wait through the warm up period. Kick ass machine!
Amazing aircraft. All these years and still relevant! Thank you for posting.
Thanks you so much for the view! That's what you can call fan service.
New BMS graphics lookin fire 🔥🔥🔥

This video absolutely did not get the love it deserves, that was so cool!
OMG I want to touch all of those buttons!!

Awesome engine sound and awesome video! Professional!
I could not be a crew chief. I would be too tempted to close the canopy and take that puppy off.
@AirlinePilot2008 thanks for giving us a look at something a lot of us may never learn let alone see in real life..
Thanks for showing this. Last time I did an engine run, was in 2004 (315 sqn).
I have to say this is one exciting video, I never though that the starting procedure for a modern aircraft was so involved.
