Everyone still having problem with align.Textgrid or error generating dictionary, it all comes from the fact that the language and language_p2b . zip are updated for mfa 2.0, you need to manually replace the zip files downloaded by advanced skeleton with the older one still working with 1.0 (used by advanced skeleton). For example, my rig was named 'rig_FitSkeleton,' and it didn't work until I removed the 'rig_' prefix. The naming needs to match exactly how Advanced Skeleton names the controls during the build stage.
In maya navigate to Modify->Search and Replace Names… and in the “Search for…” type in your prefix and in the “Replace with…” field type in “ “. This means null sign. This is a quick way to remove prefixes from the names in Maya.
Yup, that dog scene was pretty funny, i nearly fell off my seat laughing! Curious on one thing; While this is all really great, there is a slight mechanical look that is apparent in most auto lip sync tools. From a creative point of view (i'm definitely no TD lol) it would make sense for me to find key emotive points in the animation and use some blend shapes or controllers to exaggerate the face to try and break up the mechanical look. So is something like this possible? to layer over the top of what the automation produces? thank you :)

isnt there any way i can use just a voice clip to drive the lip sync without having to rely on which language it is? based on the sounds it makes why cant it use some phonemes to mimic the mouth to its respective phoneme? for instance, in iClone the lip sync works perfectly regardless of the language you speak. it automatically lip syncs to perfect phonemes. I really hope Advanced skeleton would adopt such a way without the need to show the text.
I see you're using 2016, this explains why i had strange conflicts with 2018 and 2019. Advance Skeleton is still functionable on maya 2018/19 however the selector and the body controller setup requires fixing. I'm curious, what is your opinion on high poly mesh being used on Advanced Skeleton 5, the max ive used in poly count is 22k my average is under 10k.

Everyone still having problem with align.Textgrid or error generating dictionary, it all comes from the fact that the language and language_p2b . zip are updated for mfa 2.0, you need to manually replace the zip files downloaded by advanced skeleton with the older one still working with 1.0 (used by advanced skeleton).
