    The Boeing 727-200 is my first plane which have several 1:200 scale diecast models. I've flown on a Delta Air Lines Boeing 727-200 two different times in two different liveries, Anerican Airlines & Sun Country (once on AA & Sun Country). Looks like they do most or all of the work there when I think now parts get transported in from some where else for an example the Boeing 737 fuselage now days get transported by rail and/or by truck from videos I've seen some time ago & I think now too other parts get transported by air in a modified Boeing 747. I don't mind corrections if I'm wrong as I'm not an expert as some are. God Bless!

    they are still building 737s there, and will be for a long time. Went to open house when my dad worked there. They made hydrofoils there too

      Didn't Boeing have a division that built buses too? It was a partnership with Grumman.

    Very large and comfortable-looking passenger seats. The first victim of airline deregulation.

    The Boeing 707, 727 & 737 came from the same mold which makes sense as the nose design all look the same.

    727. was one of the noisiest airplanes ever made.. thirsty too.. but it was a hot rod as airliners go. could take off any where.

    The Boeing tour was used to recruit friendly people to work at Boeing. Californians with aeronautic experience were brought in to manage the commercial airplane group assembly. They couldn't stand the King and Pierce County stoners and drunks that were building the planes so HR would have the tour guides observe the tour audience and most of the friendly and fun ones were from CA or Midwest and were asked to apply for jobs after the tour.

    I like the ramp at the rear too. Early models could open in flight.

      There was an Airworthiness Direcctive that addressed that problem after the "D. B. Cooper" affair.

    boeing needs to make the 727-300 same style but 2 man crew!

    • @dvamateur
      @dvamateur 8 років тому +1

      3 man crew. What if in case of emergency, the new heading needs to be re-entered to the autopilot. Then both pilots will scramble for the manual, checklist, fiddling with the buttons, then execute. Who's flying the plane then? Nobody. We really need the flight engineer position back. His salary is equal to that of just single tanking for an overseas flight.

      I liked the 727. But it burned a lot of fuel compared to its successor, the 757.

    • @dvamateur
      @dvamateur 7 років тому

      MrShobar Ferrari GTO also burns more fuel than Prius. I'd still want the Ferrari though.

    • @MrShobar
      @MrShobar 7 років тому

      The 727 was no Ferrari. And the fuel appetite was measured in tons, not gallons.
