    For anyone watching this, I forgot one essential expense: Laundry
    I spend around 650 to 700 pesos a month for pick-up, wash, fold and dropoff. I have 2 loads each time (whites and colors), and do that around twice a month.
    I wash my underwear myself in my apartment.
    Before I just did laundry once a month via self service laundromat and that costed me around 300 pesos.
    Idk why I forgot to put that lol

  • @kiarracassie
    @kiarracassie 3 місяці тому +1

    Hi, Enzo! My thoughts/suggestion abt this vlog:
    1. Maybe your ACs are non-inverters kaya rin siguro mataas yung electric bill mo?
    2. Maybe if you prepare your own meal per week baka mabawasan din yung 15k for food every month. I tried to live alone in college and kaya mabuhay ng 5k per month basta ako nagpprepare ng food ko. I usually just put them sa fridge and reheat lang ng reheat because we dont wanna waste too much time din 😭 Pero if pagod, delivery is the key talaga HAHAHA
    3. Honestly not surprise abt the expenses, Makati area ba naman e. Also the salary dinnnnn, kung DevOps ba naman *wink winkkk*
    Proud of you grabe! Keep it up, Enzzz ❤ close tayo?? May nickname ka na? Charz HAHAHA

    • @LifebyEnzo
      @LifebyEnzo  3 місяці тому +1

      hi! haha May mga tumatawag rin sa akin ng Enz actually 😂 Thanks for always watching!
      1. Yes. Tama ka. Unfortunately, my unit has small spaces for aircon provisions. Di ako pinapayagan sa request na palakihin ko yung provision para window-type inverter bilhin ko. It might compromise the structure na raw kasi. Kaya eto haha.
      2. Pagod and Katamaran talaga ang enemy haha!
      3. Yeah, higher cost of living is expected nga dito haha 😉

      @@LifebyEnzo best to do it consistently as you will need it in the future. Whether big or small amount you need to set aside for savings. You can do the "envelope system" to set aside certain amount para you can control the money you spent on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Wag din kalimutan ang travel fund kahit P200 lang per pay day 😊 Good luck!

    I had a few questions about your costs:
    1) what did you pay for the home wifi router?
    2) how many jugs of filter water do you buy a month?
    3) do you have to pay maintenance fees for the building common services and garbage removal?

    • @LifebyEnzo
      @LifebyEnzo  3 місяці тому

      1) I bought the router online (it's TP-link and can use any carrier). The router alone is around 6000 pesos.
      2) I think around 4 to 6 jugs? Minimum of one jug per week.
      3) Nope. There are no separate fees here for garbage removal, cleaning and the like. I just pay for added labor whenever needed like plumbing fixes, aircon cleaning, etc.

    • @LifebyEnzo
      @LifebyEnzo  2 місяці тому +1

      I don't have a good experience with my pocket wifi. A router is more capable of handling many devices connected to it, and more often than not supports both the 2.4 and 5ghz networks. Also, di siya umiinit pag naka-plug lagi. I use it for my TV, smart gadgets and other devices here at home. Some routers have better network chips that can pickup signal much better than your usual pocket wifi, that usually has better speeds.

    • @LifebyEnzo
      @LifebyEnzo  2 місяці тому +1

      Also, lately, pag lumalabas ako, di ko na dinadala yung router. I recently had an extra phone for that job. I'm not taking any chances sa pocket wifi unit due to bad experiences in the past.
      Don't get the cheap pocket wifi devices if you plan on using it regularly.

      @@LifebyEnzo Thank you sa reply!
      First reply made sense to me. I realized na pocket wifis are powered by battery so need niya lagi icharge. My concern is only about going outside to work like sa cafe, hotels, libraries gaya ng nakita ko sa video mo, na intrigued ako coz its too unusual to bring a router outside but that will work for me so long need ko lang siya with my lappy.
      Since you mentioned na "extra phone" na gamit mo to replace the router while using ur laptop to work outside, does that mean na you have 2 phones with you like your primary phone (iPhone with SIM1+SIM2/eSIM) for data, sms, & calls. And then yung "extra phone" is may Smart Bro Rocket sim for wifi connectivity sa wifi?
      Thank youuuu

    • @LifebyEnzo
      @LifebyEnzo  2 місяці тому

      Btw I saw some people sa mga cafe with their globe/smart routers kaya I felt fine with the idea of bringing the whole router haha. No shame in that basta may saksakan at extension cord lols.
      My extra phone is just for data, but what I do is I take my sim from my router and transfer it to my extra phone pag lalabas. Bale wala siyang dedicated na sim. Mejo hassle pero sayang yung promo eh haha.

    I feel sorry for your situation dude. I'm a Filam that grew up in America and we don't support our parents when they get old and likewise most American parents are not financially obligated to us when we become adults. It's difficult to break the cycle of poverty when you are obligated to give the little amount of your salary away to relatives putting you in more of a deficit. I don't subscribe to having children when your not financially stable enough because your situation is exactly what happens as a perfect example. Your parents had no life insurance or enough of a savings or income thats sustainable like 95% of most Filipinos. It's a cultural acceptance that needs to be amended and oboliished because it just creates more poverty.

    • @LifebyEnzo
      @LifebyEnzo  3 місяці тому +1

      I also agree that children should not be obligated to give. They were not born to be retirement plans. For anyone reading - keyword is /obligated/. However, I understand that in a lot of families, it's a case-to-case basis here in the Philippines.
      Our family has experienced a very bad recession a few years back and everyone in it feels the impact financially up to today. I don't have the burden that other breadwinners have because my mom is also working part-time. I am fortunate that my mom does not "obligate" me to pay certain bills and all that I'm giving now is out of my own decision and will, so no need to be sorry. I'd say we should feel sorry for those that are being exploited or shamed to give back money to the family by their own families.
      I still envy everyone that gets to keep their own money because their family is in a decent situation, or simply put, well-off and secure. But sometimes, we're the ones that will start our own "generational wealth".
      Well, that was a mouthful. I also have a lot of thought on it haha. Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely day.

      @@LifebyEnzo We westerners have been raised to have more of a sense of entitlement and less gratitude and sense of empathy and obligation to our families. It’s not right, children should definitely be more LOVING and there for their parents in the same way their parents were there for them.
      My parents were wealthy and so there was no need to support them. But had they been poor, I would have helped them however I was able to.
      You supporting your family will bless you, not destroy you. Keep doing what you’re doing, building your wealth and caring for those who cared for you. When you die, you won’t be able to take the money with you, but your family, sooner or later you’ll be together again and how you loved and cared for them will matter a lot. ❤
