IT OVER 9000
I wonder if AMD will ever plug that in there commercials.
WHAT? 9000???
This might just be my lack of sleep, but what a time to be alive
@@AwesomeBlackDude When has AMD made a commercial lately?
*taps your shoulder, then shakes head* nuh uh...
The 9800X3D is a scary idea. Intel should be shivering in their boots rn
Fr
For real with my 14900k crashing in Unreal Engine 5 games.
I think the fact that AMD has been able to keep the TDP in check tells a lot. They’re not hitting ceiling with their plans. Unlike certain other CPU manufacturer. As much as I’m an AMD fanboy, I really really hope Intel will be able to compete, because otherwise we’re foooked.
@@cemsengul16typical intel overheating…
7800X3D is already owning😂
Dang AM4 is the GOAT
I remember when people says it's a EoL platform....
I know it been 8 YEARS!
People generally throw the term "goat" around pretty lightly, but I genuinely think am4 might literally be the greatest chipset to date. Not only does it have some absolute nukes in terms of budget chips, but it still stays competitive in the top end. And it's STILL supported!
I'll hold out for the 5900XTX3D with one billion cache points
Especially for enthusiasts, the longevity of the AM4 platform has provided immense value. And going forward to AM5, we expect nothing less. For OEMs, this might not be as significant, but for those building their own computers and upgrading them down the line, AM4 has proven to be an excellent value.
keeping am4 alive is a good move
AMD's approach to sockets and chipsets really wins over PC enthusiasts. By keeping things compatible for a long time, like with the AM4 platform, they offer something unique that Intel missed out on. This makes upgrading a lot easier and keeps fans happy.
@@halko1agree, i wanna get a budget pc and upgrade through the years
Damn Amd gave more info about ryzen 9000 than Nvidia gave about rtx 5090 and both of them used about the same time.
Nvidia must be busy talking about AI😊

language model
Sounds smurfy to me.
@@PuppetMasterdaath144 Or the proper name GPT - Generative Pretrained Transformer
Yes, using the term "language model" to refer to GPT models is more apt because it covers a broader scope. While "GPT" is specific to the language model created by OpenAI, "language model" is a general category that includes all language models, including GPT and other types of language models that generate human-like text. So in this case, using the term "language model" would be more accurate and apt.
@@PuppetMasterdaath144 I'm like 60% sure GPT is used to describe other then OpenAi LMs too. For example after a bit of search I found out "Generative pretraining" was a long-established concept in machine learning applications and the concept of transformers was introduced by Google a couple of years ago.
GPTs refer to very large trained language models, LMs can be small and work specific.
But other than this argument, I agree with your statement.
New AM4 CPUs?
New AM4 CPUs.
I bought my AM4 system when AM5 was around the corner. New sockets don’t make old CPUs obsolete in use, but I didn’t expect there’d potentially be upgrade path.
Not sure what the new AM4 cpu has over the 5700x 3D or 5800x 3D, a 5900x 3D would have been killer.

I'm content with my 5700X and 7800XT for the next few years. Still runs everything. Ryzen 9000 looks solid, but I'll skip it this time round.
Im content with the 5700x for now but looking into upgrading my 3070 sometime soon (maybe Radeon 9000 series?) I am waiting for LGs 5k2k oled gaming monitor to release
I'm going to see what the performance looks like, but looks like I'm finally upgrading my 5600x and 3060ti
Funny how I also have the 5700x but instead I have a 7700XT for graphics
What processor would you pair with a RX 6800 GPU? Thanks
@@angelmiesestatis7566 Any X3D chip will do. 5800X3D or 7800X3D. A 7800XT is only a bit faster than a 6800.
I need that 9800X3D to be announced
Taipei 101 in the back ground 😯
Thanks for noticing!
AMD is becoming what it was supposed to destroy, THE CONFUSING NAMING SCHEME
f*ck the names, just look at the specs each chip has, if you know even the basics of what a good cpu has to offer just go for the one that suits you.
They need more names.
AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 X3D XT ultra extreme limited.
im jst waiting for 9800x3D, gettin mobo n ram ready bfore it, got a 7900 XTX already so ye super excited
8 years of support for AM4. That is absolutely amazing. I'm still running my original day one board. It started with a 1700x and now boasts a 5950. The fact that they continue to support this platform pretty much guarantees that when I do leave AM4 behind I'll be moving with AMD.
Nailed it, How fast you shot this kind of video just after the event? I'm amazed, keep it going bro. Thanks for your insight.
No efficiency graphs or comparisons for HX 370 is a huge red flag.
Best guess is that it doesnt improve last gen, rather the main focus (or addition) is just the NPU boost. Especially when it still is 4nm and Windows pushing Copilot. Maybe Zen 5 might improve benchmarks but we’ll see.
*edited for grammar
nope, not at all
STOP!!! Its marketing my guy. The fact you calling red flags without any kinda 3rd party testing is a red flag of a hater or just plain old ignorance!!!
@@samnyce what are you talking about? Their previous processors literally did boast that. Now they don't. This is clearly a red flag. I am not a hater but a 7945HX user who's waiting for better HX370 laptops and I want the info.
Good info to Provide us.. Very educational.
I think the x3d chips are the ace up their sleeve, as they will arrive and be reviewed with the 5090 and if the 5090 performs as expected, then the demands on the cpu will be intense and show the gap being possibly larger than what we see today with the 7900xtx
Just upgraded my 5600x to a 5700x3D and my temps went down. Performance went up to, but I'm actually running cooler, never would have expected that.
we need a new integrated graphics for am4 no more vega something like radeon 580m
no please
AM4 is still a previous platform. soon enough by 2 generations seeing as AM6 is probably coming in 2025/2026(ddr6 is soon out). At this point, you either buy an AM5 board or get a graphics card. Not buy a brand new chip for an old motherboard to get an igpu.
doubtful cezanne was a broken product. googling gives you countless issues with the infinity fabric, Namely G series APUs 5700G being a main culprit.
Another great episode of The Brett News, thanks Brett Host!
Lets call it intel ERAZER 9000 :)
best idea ever.
Got a Ryzen 5 7600, Looking foward to upgrading to the 9700x or maybe wait for the X3D variants.
if ur gaming then wait for the x3d for SURE. u should probably just wait generally.
yeah, x3d for sure for your next upgrade, don't think twice.
Im more excited about the Radeon 890M to be honest.
How it compares with the 790m?
@@crow9283 From all the videos I have seen its around 36% faster given the information AMD presented . There’s currently no 790M but rather a 780M. The 880M will most likely be a little faster given its 12CUs of RDNA 3.5. The 780M is 12CUs of RDNA 3 and the 890M is 16CUs of RDNA 3.5.
AM4 is amazing
Damn, a 16 core AM4 CPU. Incredible
I’m too late to jump to the AM5 platform. I’m gonna suck it up until AM6 🤣
AM5 is going to be around until 2027 or later, AMD supports their sockets for longer than Intel
lol 😂
AM4 will be going on 9 years of support next year. Trust me, you are not too late for AM5 😂 at this rate they will continue dropping CPU’s for it until 2030
Imagine if Intel wanted laymen to know about generations of CPU, so they started naming their CPUs Kilo, then Mega, then Giga, Terra, Peta, Exa, zeta, yotta, ronna, Quetta, and then they have to pick a new making scheme.
Dang. This is one Crisp looking video. Nice.
That's a nice "a clockwork orange" chair you have there 👏😎
So happy I went with am4 like 4 years ago if not more I got the x3d chip rn and will upgrade later to the 59000xt I’m riding out am4 for another 5 years tops feels good
I'll get excited when they push the core count in the CCX's up.
Zen 5c is rumored to be 16 core CCX, Zen 6 is rumored to be 32 core CCX.
64 core desktop processors in a xx950 would be awesome.
Nice, been waiting for another 65tdp 8 core
Waiting for super efficient laptop :)
I'm not sure if a 15% (at most) IPC uplift = monster, will have to wait for actual data
I’m looking for to see how the x3d variants change through this generation. Wondering if they go with it on both CCD’s. Want to see if that helps the parking issues with the higher core counts
AM4's longevity is the main reason I went with AMD in my newest build, I felt confidant that AM5 would be supported for many years. Even back in the day they had Super Socket 7 which was quite chad as well. Good history of supporting their CPUs over time. Cant say that for Intel, thats for sure.
Our latest GEEKOM A8 mini PC is equipped with AMD Ryzen 9, you can have a try!😉
Yo
But is AI? You gotta have ai in the name otherwise you're missing on the hype train, not that the end user actually cares
Am4 is officially G.O.AT.ED.!!!!
Wow! Ryzen 5000 series getting a discount when this comes out is going to make it look better than ever
AMD is playing it smart with AM4. They know that the platform is rock solid and pretty much every "bug" has been fixed. A drop in upgrade for an existing platform will make current AM4 customers happy. New builders for AM5 have the assurance that AMD is trying to address some of the quirks with that platform. Having said that: I have seen a couple of PC builders/testers feeling unsettled with DDR5 in the upper end of RAM capacity (i.e. 96GB and 128GB) not being able to run at the full rated speed of the RAM modules. Maybe AMD 9000 will address that. Overall though: I am now a bit torn between my next PC build. Having said that and to quote another streamer: "Time will tell."
I’m excited to see what the real live performance would be from the new 890m integrated gpu
5-15% in gaming doesn't sound like "a monster"
Is 6:31 compared to a specific chip or just AM4 ? I wanted to know how much better the 9950x will be over the 7950x 3D in terms of gaming and rendering etc.
16% ipc gains is just standard
AI X 1000000 :D
Hope it'll be good
I feel like they cut cost on the apu department. Hopefully it comes to desktop. I mean low cost 10/12 core cpu with decen igpu. It Will be bliss for us SFF builder. 300 dollar for 10 core and 350 for 12 core. Remember it will have bad pcie lanes like 8700g
I'm not really sure what you mean by this but, the entire lineup of rizen 9000 generation CPUs include the same APU which is the Radeon 880m. Obviously the higher end CPU will have slightly better performance than the more budget ones.
@@alexandervillar7742 9000 lineup includes the same igpu as the 7000 lineup, 2 CU.
Which OEM do you think will best implement AMD mobile chips in a notebook form factor for creativity and gaming hybrid use case? If so which series lineup?
Lenovo.
I want to say that Intel Arc is PCIe 5 ready, pretty sure I readied about that somewhere.
Do you think they will release more cpu's for AM4 or should I just get the 5900XT?

Epic, I don't need to switch to AM5 anyway.
What about power efficiency? That seems important these days
16% isn't much when it likely includes the higher ram speed too....
15% was their low end figure. 7800x3d better gaming until 9700x3d
I think most of this figure comes from the doubling of the instructions bandwidth. This showcases how hard it is to improve on these CPUs. Lol, all the videos claiming the cpus were going to release with up to 40% increase.
“THE POWER LEVELS ARE OVER 9000” -Vegeta
is it certain whether a 9700x will be better than a 7800x3d as that would determine whether i build my PC late june or middle of august
Bro, this is not news. What we need to know is if Steve and Linus saw each other, talked, and squashed the beef or not
0:43 7040 did have XDNA it's on the litteral slide my dude lol
So should I hold off building my pc?
Screw the AI crap, i'm just interested in having AVX512.
Am4 ftw
So when I got used to the old naming and could tell every spec of the last Ryzen CPUs... They made another one and its even more confusing. From a marketing perspective, they're just saying their AI chips are a generation ahead which is kindda true. But from a customer's perspective its annoying and even harder to understand.
What about all those Epyc cpus ending up in AM5 sockets? Any new news about that?
My next cpu will come from whichever vendor replaces all that NPU crap with more cache.
Which isn't going to be either of them
@@L_ightninng I can wait a bit. Gamers and people who do real work on computers will still be around when the bubble bursts.
[ _Insert expletive here_ ] yeah! AM4 till I die!
wish they released 5950 3D
PCIe 5.0 GPUs is only a matter of time, so it’s a future-proofing measure if nothing else.
Will the new 9000 series have igpu like 7000 series?
Well, I see no reason to jump from my 5900X to the 5900XT. I guess I'll have to wait until I am ready for Gen 5.

I see conference for desktop Ryzen is a totally deception same core counts and no AI just increases IPC.
Ryzen AI HX is for laptops and no signal for new RX with real AI build in.

why do things have to change. when I was a yoiung man all I needed was my trusty old TI-83 clculator. sure it was primitive for a computing device but dammit it was HONEST :(
Still on my 5800x3d. I am curious if it’ll be worth upgrading but I am skeptical
I'm in the same boat
I'm going to upgrade when the new x3d are out.
I'd say better to wait until the next one after 9000series. so probably the 10series 10700x3d or whatever it's gonna be called because by then the ddr5 platform and rams would be considerably faster and hopefully cheaper.

7840u has AI processing. This isn't something they are making up now, it just wasn't a worthy marketing bullet point before. One of the differences between the 7840u vs the Z1 Extreme is that lacked "AMD dedicated AI XDNA Technology". Honestly when they announced the Z1/extreme they mentioned that as a difference but I had no idea how it was going to be used or how to expose the feature. @@Mdxceed AM4 is memorable
i used to remember every single cpu that ever came out like u could ask me how many cores does an i7 8700 have and id say 6 and 12 threads u could ask about a 4790k id say 4 and 8 threads.. but ever since the performance and efficiency BS from intel and the changing of naming scheme i just lost interest.. like tf is a core ultra? tf is a ryzen ai 300 something?
I feel like the chip will get too hot to have 12 cores in one laptop cpu. The ryzen 9 in my Razer laptop gets pretty hot. I know the blade isnt the best for cooling, but its not bad, and the chip gets hot to the hands on top. I feel like more cores = more heat, but correct me if I'm wrong
Heat is mostly a clock speed thing, power usage goes up with the square of the clock speed, so a single core boosting at max will easily consumer 50% of your power budget, this is why eco mode halves your power usage, but only cuts performance by 10%.
It's complicated.
Efficiency goes down with clocks.
Having 12 cores at 3ghz *may* be more efficient than 8 cores at 4ghz
Especially if some of them are tuned to be low voltage, low clock, low leakage, workhorse cores.
@woobilicious. Oh, that makes sense. Especially with them focusing on efficiency vs power cores. I could see them running it in a 8+4 configuration and allow the laptops to get better battery when not playing games
Whats cringe is the new 5000 series gpu use a ton of watts. The new power supplies coming out for cpu/gpu already going on sale are 2050 watts and 2200 watts.
Since it's already been confirm that new series gpu will consume 30+% more power = 900+ watts.....I can see future cases with built in frying pans

The 6 year old looking 20 year old is back.
when the heck are they going to put out a higher core count chip!?? they are still stuck at 16!! even 18- or 20 cores would be nice!! I don't understand why they are still hung up on this!!
Because no one needs them meb devs but even for them it is meh 😂

Where is my 5950x3d for am4?
wow 43k views is insanely low
I don' t know that I'd go so far as to call the graphics bandwidth slide cringe..... Maybe the fact that It's titled "The Ultimate content creator AI platform" is cringe since, with that title, the fact that you can't use the bandwidth is an issue. If they had labeled it something like "AMD is ready for AI of the future" or something more forward looking, it'd be better, but having the bandwidth available in the future is a good thing that they should be advertising.
